My family and I have been coming to this restaurant once a week for what feels like forever. The food is consistently delicious, the drinks are fantastic, and the value for the price is hard to beat. The staff is always so kind and incredibly patient with my family, which we truly appreciate. I definitely recommend the fajitas and the nachos...both are generous portions, perfect for sharing, and absolutely delicious. Very friendly dining experience as we originally weren't expecting to have lunch here. So it was a pleasant time. The staff were very accommodating and hospitable. The environment was sort of mixed between dining and sports bar, in that they had the TV on. Since it was too crowded it wasn't overly loud. The food was good. I'm not chili Relleno expert, but it was better than most. Although there was a healthy portion of refried beans all over it, so it drowned the taste a bit. The enchilada was good as well. I would go back and try their other dishes, but my mom didn't seem to enjoy her food as much. So maybe this is a mixed review. read more

April 9th, 2026 Today I called this place to ask if I could place an order, and the man who answered the phone was extremely rude. I honestly don't understand how a business can have employees like that and if he's the owner, that's even worse. He hung up on me, and when I called back, I said maybe the call dropped. He replied, "No, I hung up because I don't want to deal with you." If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how little they care about the food and the people they serve. Last two visits have been terrible, long wait times for food, a pretty much just being left to sit at the table. Sunday night, stopped in for dinner we were seated right away, chips and salsa arrived ordered drinks and food, then the waiting starts. Food arrives, three orders, two with all rice, no beans, both arrived with all beans no rice, third plate arrives with all beans as well. Still no drinks... Catch the waitress, and she asks "are you sure" Finally drinks arrive, 5 minutes later 2 plates arrive back at table. Get the bill and it showed no rice on all three plates. $135.00 for 3 dinner plates and adult beverages, food tastes good but the lack of service crosses this restaurant off our list. Chips were freshly made, which was a great start. However, the $20 price for a two-cheese enchilada plate felt a bit steep for what you get. The beans seemed watered , likely to stretch portions and lacked flavor, while the red enchilada sauce had good flavor and the rice was good. Overall, the portions were just okay. My wife ordered a carne asada torta and asked to substitute fries for rice or beans, but they wanted to charge extra (which didn't feel right, especially with an $18 plate) Service was also disappointing. At places like Mario's Mexican Restaurant, they're on top of refilling chips and drinks without you having to ask. Here, we had to ask for more chips and didn't receive drink refills ($5 soft drinks). One older female server with gray hair had a noticeably poor attitude, which took away from the experience. This was our first visit, and we were hoping for better service and overall quality. It's not the worst , but it's nowhere near great either. I only had tacos and they were excellent. It's a great place to go for Football or any sports on TV . I sat at the bar for a football game and had couple of beers and some tacos. Had a great time. Be aware..... if you have over six people in your group they automatically charge 20% tip!! Unheard of! Service was sub-par to say the least. What's not impressed my food was cold. I came in at 9:06. Kitchen closes at 9:30. They closed the restaurant at 10. Wouldn't you want to get the best service to someone coming into your restaurant? In the middle of summer, my pregnancy craving is a good caldo. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. First impression- clean restaurant. I ordered albondigas soup and an horchata. Chips and salsa were delicious! Spicy and tastes real Mexican. Albondigas soup was exactly what I was craving. I love all the big chunks of veggies, the side of rice and tortillas. They didn't skimp on the lemon which was great. 9/10 I'll definitely be coming back here! read more

Came across this pretty decent Mexican joint in the Riip/Home Depot strip mall. We picked up a mixture of some crispy tacos and street tacos with various meats and most were good, some were dry, but all in all pretty happy with the food. Personally, the al pastor was my favorite by far with the carnitas coming up on the very dry side, but carnitas is always pretty hit or miss regardless of where you go. Diane and I were introduced to this fine Mexican restaurant by our son, a Huntington Beach resident; and after a sumptuous dinner we left with a very good first impression. Tortilla chips, ultra-hot salsa, and pico de gallo were complimentary, with the pico deserving of particular mention. My table of six family members kept running out of this very fresh and excellent rendition of cut tomatoes and White Onions. But our server cheerfully kept up a swift pace of replenishment. Both large and small orders of Guac were smooth and cool, and I noted in retrospect that one large order alone would have sufficed. Albondigas Soup was excellent, with soft chunks of zucchini, huge and perfectly cooked soft potatoes, and very tasty beef & rice meatballs. The menu photo showed four meatballs, but my bowl of soup only contained two. Yet they were both very large. A hard Shredded Beef Taco was good and crunchy, but the highlight of my meal was a #53 Burrito Rojo O Verde accompanied by Refried Beans and Mexican Rice. The burrito was filled with tender pork, well sauced and cheesy on top, and pliable, with the taste of the soft beans enhanced by enfolding some of them in a warm flour tortilla. Diane's off-menu Shrimp Quesadillas were filled with more than adequate amounts of shrimp and melted cheese. Others in my party liked their Chicken & Beef Fajitas, #39 Pollo A La Mexicana, #44 Burrito California with Grilled Steak, and Cheese Enchilada. The restaurant was crowded with diners, but lean on servers like almost everywhere else in these Covid times. Our beleaguered server was humping hard all night, so service was fine under the circumstances. Colorful images of Mexico painted on walls above booths contributed to a festive, casual atmosphere. Food was horrible. My son ordered a fried fish. They fried it so long there was barely any meat left. They served him a plate so hot he burned his finger but the beans were still cold! His French fries also were not even room temperature. The service was terrible. They didn't bring us our drinks until our food came! I think the bar tender was trying to be the waiter too. No wonder it was empty on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the 7 seas soup bc they have a pic in the window with huge crab legs. After I go to pay when I mention it they say " we are out of crab legs". They didn't bother to tell me that when I ordered it. They didn't even bother to discount it either. I think that if you love green Chile pork burritos the way I do, you will never have a better one. I am always surprised at the super rich flavor and low even heat in the green Chile sauce. I've been coming to this restaurant for several years because the food is genuinely delicious, consistent, and full of flavor. The owner is very friendly and clearly cares about the business, which makes it even more disappointing that the service from some of the staff has always been lacking. The biggest issue is that certain team members (not all) rarely acknowledge customers when they make a request. There's little to no eye contact, no greeting, and often no verbal response at all after a request and just a walk away. While they usually do bring what you asked for eventually, the lack of communication makes the service feel cold and dismissive.There are also moments when it's obvious they notice you trying to get their attention, yet they respond with a side glance and deliberately ignore you. Today stood out in a particularly negative way. I asked the bartender for something... he may have been off-duty or just starting his shift, I'm not sure but instead of responding, he turned around and walked away without saying a word. It felt like I was bothering him just for asking. I told one of the waiters what had happened, and he also said nothing just walked straight into the kitchen. Minutes later, I noticed several staff members looking at me, as if something had been said about me. It was uncomfortable, but I let it go. As I was leaving, I shared my frustration with one of the servers who I know is part of the owner's family. I explained that the service is consistently poor and mentioned how rude it was that a staff member ignored me and walked away like I was an inconvenience and told him I would be leaving a negative review. He brushed it off, saying, "It's just one time bad service." When I clarified that it happens all the time I just do not say anything, he simply shrugged and said he didn't care. I told him he should care, especially because this is his family's business but he dismissed it again. Once more, I want to stress that the food is excellent and the owner himself is kind and welcoming. But some of the staff need serious training in hospitality and basic customer service. If the service ever matches the quality of the food, this place would truly be a gem. Until then, it's hard to fully enjoy the experience. read more

We decided to go here for Sunday lunch and out margaritas tasted like fruit punch and the Bloody Mary - or poor excuse of one was horrible - never received replacement drink the owner was angry and unprofessional when we asked for a different drink.
