I still love Fiesta Grill as much as the first time I tried it 10 years ago!! The chips are so light and airy and the salsa is still just as amazing as Day 1! The salsa is a little spicy (not too much for me, but I know some people that can't take too much) but it's so fresh and flavorful it's bomb! I always get my favorite (cheese enchiladas and hard shredded beef tacos) and they are still amazing. Fiesta grill's food reminds me of the great Mexican food I grew up eating in San Diego. I was looking forward to a good lunch today and so I decided on Fiesta Grill 2 for a good meal. I ordered a cheese enchilada with a side of rice and some sour cream to be added to my meal. I had it written out very clearly on what I wanted and I verbally told the order taker what I wanted and they repeated back to me my order. In a few minutes my meal was prepared and bagged and I took the order back to work to eat it just to find out there was NO SOUR CREAM on my enchilada nor in a cup on the side. We ordered takeout at the restaurant and it was ready within 10 minutes. We ordered the California burrito, Baja styles fish taco fried, and rolled chicken tacos with beans and rice. Been coming here for about 9 years. It's always been good, what kept us coming back was the chips and salsa. For a bit the food wasn't tasting as fresh so we tried some other places for a while... Flash forward to now, we had a huge craving for this place. We walk in and see they charge $1.25 for their chips and salsa and kind of were bummed because it use to be all you can eat free. Whatever- our chips and salsa comes out as well as our food. Everything was insanely fresh and hot. The chips were straight out of the fryer. I've never had such fresh and quality from here!!! This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is so tasty! As you have seen, their wet burritos are amazing and the meat is tender and tasty. They are also very healthy portions. Came here with my friend after taking an improv comedy class next door. We were hungry and wanted to sit somewhere and chat, so this was the perfect place. I ordered the fish burrito which was humongous, but expected. Most burrito joints have about this size. The service was as expected, the cashier was nice, took our order quickly, and our food came out in a reasonable time. My one qualm is that I felt the burrito was a bit pricey, or I felt like I could have gotten more. I was half expecting like some other stuff inside like tomatoes/salsa, guac, onions, etc. But it really was just beans, rice, and fish.
