Yesterday, I was visiting from out of state and made it a point to stop by Flecha Cantina because I'm a huge Mark Wahlberg fan and was excited to check out his new restaurant. When I walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly host, which was a great first impression. I decided to sit at the bar top, but unfortunately, that's where the experience started to go downhill. The bartender--a girl with long, crinkly dark hair--came across as unwelcoming and a bit dismissive. On top of that, she seemed to be acting inappropriately with someone who appeared to be a manager, which made the whole atmosphere feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. The vibe at the bar kind of set the tone, and overall the restaurant didn't feel very warm or inviting after that. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due--the salsa was excellent, and the food overall was actually really good. It's just disappointing that the service and atmosphere didn't match the quality of the food, especially considering the expectations tied to the name behind the restaurant. read more

Went to Flecha for a girls night out, was excited to give it a try. We had a reservation, made weeks in advance but still had to wait quite a while to get seated. When we walked in, to smelled like propane, which the hostess acknowledged they were working on ridding the smell & then offered us complimentary margaritas while we waited. I don't drink, so I didn't have one - but my party said they were decent and free, so they weren't gong to complain When we got seated we order a variety of dishes: the sea bass, carnitas flautas, ribeye, and fish tacos. Everyone we pleased with their dish, except the ribeye was slightly overcooked. This is a cute date night / girls night restaurant which a decent menu and drink offerings. read more

This review is for their happy hour. I've been to their happy hour twice now. Love their food choices! When we first arrived, they did ask if we had reservations which we did not. They offered my friend a complimentary margarita and had us wait in the outdoor lounge area. This part I didn't understand why we had to wait so long (when there were plenty of tables) but maybe they didn't have enough staff in whatever sections idk. Came to have an early dinner at Flecha. First time trying flecha and was quite impressed. I was either extremely hungry or the food was just that good. Was served by a very friendly and welcoming server named Alexis. She brought out chips and salsa to start. Salsa was roasted and was pretty tasty. We ordered a simple guacamole and two street taco trios from the happy hour menu. Mine were all chicken and hubby's were carnitas, pork belly, and chicken. All the meats were very yummy. We later ordered the chicken taquitos. Hubby liked them I thought they were ok. Restaurant interior is pretty nice and decorative. Bathrooms are well kept. My husband took me to Flecha Cantina for their Sunday brunch as part of our Mother's Day celebration. The brunch included unlimited mimosas for $50 per person, although I overheard it is normally $45 on regular Sundays. I accidentally made my reservation for Monday instead of Mother's Day Sunday at 11:00am, but the staff was very accommodating and still allowed us to be seated at the bar area. We came with our baby, so it was a little challenging since the high chair sat lower than the bar seating. They had a wide variety of food options including prime rib, ham, omelettes, tacos, quesadillas, chilaquiles, premade mole, and pozole. The tacos and quesadillas were pretty good. The prime rib was decent, although it was sliced very thinly. There was also a large dessert selection, and they even had cotton candy available which added a fun touch to the brunch experience. Overall, the ambiance was lively and enjoyable with plenty of food options to choose from. Great spot for brunch if you're looking for variety and a festive atmosphere. read more

On a recent visit to Flecha we had excellent food but terrible service. We went on a Monday night around 7pm and the place had a small crowd but plenty of open tables and plenty of staff working. Initially things looked promising service side but quickly got bad. The server failed to be attentive to anything we had ordered. Our initial drink orders still hadn't arrived by the time main entrees were being served. On top of that half our table got their meals while the other half had to wait an additional ten minutes for their food. This definitely falls on the sever for not paying attention to her tables especially when the food runners are bringing out the meal. Once they noticed the error they definitely started trying to correct which is why I'm giving four stars instead of three. The food was also amazing which is the other reason for our higher rating. We will be back to give them another chance. Hopefully this was just a one off with the one particular server we had. read more

Girl drink drunk without a hint of tequila taste. Flecha Cantina is the result of a partnership between Flecha tequila and Markie Mark. It's upscale chefy Mexican inspired food. It's not the food an abuelita would cook in a little hole-in-the-wall. It's what you'd expect at a Mexican resort. It's gringo for sure- the heat level never exceeds one on a scale of ten. We went with a large group and there were serval large groups there that night. This is something they are very prepared for. The front of house really are excellent here. I can't believe I let a few years go by before trying this place. I love great Mexican cuisine with some style thrown in, and Flecha checks those boxes. We went for brunch before a movie and after devouring the chips and salsa (5 stars!), both my partner and I went with Benedicts. When in a Mexican restaurant, GET THE CHORIZO!! Perfect flavor without being too spicy, perfectly poached eggs--loved every bite. My partner had the smoked salmon and it wasn't what he was expecting--it was warm flaked salmon and didn't have any smokiness to it. Skip this in favor of other meats! Vibe comes down to preference. I loved the green and black ambience. All the little details were classy and upscale. Music was a little loud for brunch but it put me in a good mood. Others in my party weren't fans. Tried this spot for the first time this past Friday for a date night with my husband. The ambiance and vibe is really nice. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. You're greeted with a welcome margarita sample which is really nice and sets the tone for a good time. Service was slow (our server apologized several times for this) but we weren't in a hurry. The drinks were tasty! The food was ok, although it did have nice presentation. I'm knocking off 1 star because of the food. The soup was delicious and the salsa that came with the chips was great. The birria and mole enchiladas were meh. Maybe other menu items are great but for the price and what we did try, I wouldn't go back for dinner. However, I would go back for drinks! Visited this place during a work dinner and overall it was a bit better than I expected. It's has a different little flair and flavor to the typical Mexican food and has almost like a Yucatán flavor where most foods have a lean toward citrus. Ok this place is very posh!!! I took my wife on a date here last week and we loved it!! The place has the right lighting, open and inviting atmosphere. An out door sitting bar area, as well as indoor seating for many in your party. We however celebrated a really cool milestone there. We met over 23 years ago and celebrated our 23yr of meeting for the first time. The service, quiet, non invasive, helpful when needed. Our server was well versed with the menu and what was great. ( love the tequila recommendation!!) We ordered a corn off the cob as an appetizer and it was Insanely great! The fajita for two well worth it and amazing melts in your mouth. We were not ready for Flecha.. but are so glad we stumbled in for dinner! When you walk in you're welcomed with a splash of margarita. The happy hour is until 7 and is filled with solid choices. We tried the guacamole, salsa plate, flauta and quesadilla. That alone filled us up. We would probably skip the salsa plate next time, as it was the least favorite of all the apps. We got the fajitas for two and it was a lot of food. The carne was better than the chicken. The onions and peppers were super flavorful and we wished there was more! It comes with 4 sides-- we made the mistake of getting double rice and beans-- should've mixed it up. The real MVPs of the night were My and Rodrigo. It's not personal so this outfit is not doing anything worse than many others. As rated, it is a fun place to eat. Folks, California min wage is higher, prices higher, so 15% of 'higher' is more. Seems we're being 'encouraged' to pay even more if we want simple tipping. Suggestion: 15, 18, 20 would seem less audacious to clients. By and large, the consumer pays significantly more than we did a year ago, and the % tip is based upon it so an increase in kinda already built in. this restaurant was opened by mark wahlberg and you can't forget it from the photos of him hung around the restaurant. in a busy, popular plaza, this restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out. parking is free at the plaza but pretty crowded, and i'm sorry to say i was so sorely disappointed by the food. although beautifully presented, this is definitely a more caucasian-catering mexican restaurant and you can taste it in their food. Carnitas Flautas starting strong, this was the best thing we ate in this meal. the flautas were crunchy and filled with just carnitas. they tasted more like taquitos than flautas in my opinion. they were served with rice and beans. the rice was a little bland and the beans had a strong boozy, vodka taste to them which wasn't for me personally but i'm not a big drinker. i did like the little salad it was served with! Burrito Bowl w/ Carne Asada with your choice of meat, this could be a good healthy meal choice. this bowl had a good mix of ingredients but overall was pretty bland lacked seasoning. Chilaquiles w/ Achiote Tequila Chicken if you know me you know i love good chilaquiles but these ones were quite unenjoyable. every element, salsas and cheeses included, were incredibly bland. the tequila chicken was meaty and had a nice charred taste, but was also quite bland and the flavoring did not match the dish at all. overall this dish tasted unharmonious and it was hard to eat for me. Flan this flan was a decent size and actually pretty good! the texture and consistency was perfect without being too hard or too runny. it was super sweet since it's a caramel custard so i couldn't finish even half but this is a solid dessert choice. Complimentary Chips and Salsa thin chips and bland salsa Complimentary Strawberry Margarita if you're of age they will pour you these little complimentary margarita flutes which was a fun greeting! the margarita was nice and sweet without being too overwhelming and elevated the classy atmosphere of the restaurant. read more

Got a gift receipt to this establishment. Parking can get really difficult to find on weekends. Entered this location, was greeted with a complimentary margarita drink. Rather tasty. Seated and was given menus. Ordered beer and Wine. All received within minutes. Ordered appetizers: shrimp salsa and guacamole. The guacamole was being prepared and I noticed a bug crawling on the preparation table, which I pointed out. Our server Anabelle tried to dismiss it real quick by crushing it by a salt Shaker. I did not even want to ask how it got there? Lol. After said and done, our appetizers were deliciously filling. The chips will definitely fill you up since they serve a large portion of it. So as a warning, dont eat all the chips. By the time you receive your main entrees, you will be full already. The main entrees I ordered was a Carne asada burrito and Seabass. All was delicous. Dropped my napkin, asked Anabelle if she can get me another. She passed me up a couple of times, so I asked her if I can just get one from the empty table next to me. She stated go ahead. If I was Anabelle, I would apologize and get a napkin for my request. Not for me to take it upon my will to do so. Overall, I would come back for happy hour. The ambiance here was nice and comfortable. Clean establishment. I was not aware that Flecha was a Mexican Restaurant, I always assumed it was an Italian restaurant with a name like that. Cool thing, The famous Mark Wahlberg owns this establishment. To try out his restaurant just gives you bragging rights that you have been. My experience was good. Everyone was nice. It was our first time here. The carne asada is super tender and juicy...this I will say is a . The onions and bell peppers were a bit overcooked for my taste. Rice and beans were okay. Presentation was lovely. I really wanted to like this place...food for this one dish we had was just okay. Just for the ambience it's absolutely stunning...great for big groups or nice date night. My family and I decided to give this place a try for my dad's birthday. It was really easy to make a reservation online. Our server was great - I wished I remembered her name. The food was good, but nothing really stood out and it is slightly overpriced for some of the items we ordered. They did get my dad's order incorrect, but quickly fixed it for us. However, they did double charge us on the bill for his item so please ensure you check your receipt prior to paying. Once we brought it up to our server's attention, she quickly adjusted this for us. Parking can be horrendous at Bella Terra, but they offer complimentary valet parking - which is a really nice perk! They also offer a free, small beverage when you enter as well. I think it's a premixed margarita drink. The ambience is nice and the place is very clean. It's the same design as Puesto (the previous restaurant that was there) with some upgrades. read more

Beautiful bar at the center of the restaurant. Service was great, we were greeted with a margarita sample. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our waiter Joshua (?) was great and the table side guacamole was delicious. I love guac! The bad. The shrimp ceviche is the worse I've ever had. It was like eating a $26 sour lemon. No flavor other than sour lemon probably to hide the underlying flavor of the expired shrimp. I didn't send it back cause we were on a time crunch and didn't want to make a fuss in front of my friends since it was my recommendation. My friends had enchiladas. I tried their beans and rice. The beans are canned, the rice dry. I had a hibiscus margarita and it was too sweet. Not good. My friends had 2 glasses of wine. The menu said $17, she was charged $25 each! The tables are too close. We had a family with small kids next to us and the little girl was literally playing on our table. I felt bad for the young couple cause they were crammed in a table with their 3 little kids. Good thing they left soon after we got there. Last thing is the lighting. That might just be me but it was so dark. Too dark. Maybe good for a date night but not for me. read more

It's a close race! Between Red O and Sol, Fletcha is coming in hot! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and full of good vibes. Upon arrival we were offered a sample of their watermelon cranberry margarita, which was a nice introduction. We were seated right away and offered complimentary chips and salsa which was delicious. Warm chips and fresh salsa, yum!! I ordered the beer batter tacos but requested that the fish was grilled with salad instead of rice and beans. We also tried their lobster enchiladas with a skinny margarita. The food came out quickly before our drinks and it took a bit longer for our drinks to come from the bar. Once my drink came it was wrong unfortunately so I had to send it back. They were able to remake it and it came out perfectly the second time. Flechas did an amazing job hosting an engagement luncheon for my son and his fiancé. We had the patio for a party of 47. It was beautifully set, we came in an hour early to decorate. The staff were so kind and accommodating. The food was amazing - we had salad, rice, beans , chicken and carne asada enchiladas, chile verde , birria and flan dessert. I HIGHLY recommend Flechas for large parties. Class act from start to finish. read more

We were greeted by the host with complimentary watermelon margaritas. It was delicious. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our margaritas along with their chips & salsa. The salsa was pretty good. While at the bar, my husband had a double woodford reserve and I had a tequila cocktail, Honey Bee. The set up at the bar was pretty neat. The bartender retrieved the liquor bottle on the shelf by lowering the shelves with a click of a switch. It's almost like we were in a Harry Potter themed bar as my friend would say. Lol! Any way that was entertaining for my husband and I because we don't normally see cool things like that haha! Our bartender was great! Very attentive. The whole restaurant had a nice vibe to it. Our friends arrived and the table was ready. They sat us at a high table. We were greeted by Gina. She was awesome! Really friendly. Since it was our first time there, she told us about the menu and her suggestions. She knew her food/stuff! She took care of us. Made sure we were good with our foods and drinks. For cocktails, I ordered the honey bee. It had tequila, honey, and lemon. It was pretty good. I ordered it twice. :D For dinner, I ordered the queso birria tacos. It came with a side of Spanish rice and refried beans. I mixed in the salsa that came with the chips into my beans and it was good. Made it spicy! My friends and I wanted to try a new restaurant that we haven't been to before and we were in the mood for Mexican cuisine, so we came over to Flecha. The decor and ambiance of this restaurant is really awesome and quite unique. The true highlight of our evening was our waiter, Chris D. As soon as we were seated he was right there to check in on us and let us know that happy hour was still on if we were interested. I wasn't going to have a margarita but since it was still happy hour, why not. I got a watermelon margarita and the taquitos to start with. My friends got another margarita and the street corn, both very delicious appetizers. For our main course, I got the Queso Birria Tacos, my friends got the Seafood Combo, and the Chicken Fajitas. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The seafood combo was such a beautiful presentation, served on a wooden block. We thought we couldn't eat anymore until Chris gave us a description of the fried ice cream and we knew we had to get it. He gave us quite the show with the dessert becasue they set the rim on fire and it was this beautiful blue color. A very fun surprise. We are definitely coming back here soon so we can try more menu items, including the brunch that Chris told us about.
