This spot might cost you an arm and a leg.. but I may consider it worth it. It's been a few years since my last visit to Ola, but the food and service here remains top tier. I visited late night with some girlfriends after catching a nearby DJ set at the Bungalow. We were ravenous and incredibly grateful to be sat instantly by the Ola team. Their servers were on top of it with drinks, apps, our meal, and even dessert. We ordered a round of guac and chips for the table, as well as their caramel filled churros to finish off the meal. For food I grabbed their taco trio, choosing the chicken, veggie, and chile relleno. The chile relleno still remains my favorite of the three! Would easily return the next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Easy to make reservations ahead of time or walk in for smaller parties. My friends and I were seated right away and our server was kind and welcoming. Honestly we had the best service! We started out with margs and chips/salsa and guac. The guac was good and so was the salsa but the chips were the best part. Warm too! I had the Punta Negra marg and it was delicious. Perfect balance of sweet and spicy between the blackberries and jalapeños. I had two tacos, the chicken and carnitas. Both were good! The meat on both were pretty dry but the flavor was there. The tacos were fresh too with all their different toppings. Definitely made up a little bit for the dry meats. My husband had the fish burrito. He really enjoyed it. It was quite large so it's great to split with someone or take the other portion home with you.

I'm pretty upset about my first experience at Ola last night. The service and food were so good that I never got a chance to enjoy the ocean view. What an absolute waste of a perfectly good window seat. Seriously though. The moment I walked in, I met Maddie, who is hopefully my future daughter-in-law. No really. She's the kind of person you meet and immediately start wondering if your son is handsome, intelligent, and charming enough to have even a remote chance (Maddie, if you're reading this, he's tall, strong, handsome, and looks absolutely nothing like me). Heck, I'll even spring for the window seat i had! Maddie and Annabelle were wonderfully charming hosts who kept me entertained while I waited for the rest of my party to arrive. Then there was Dustin, our server. And Dustin, if you're reading this, I should mention that I also have a very lovely daughter. The man was so good at his job that my friend accidentally ordered the same drink twice because Dustin appeared before he realized he'd already placed the order. I haven't seen efficiency like that since Amazon figured out same-day delivery. I almost felt obligated to serve him instead. The place is so large and airy, I actually thought I was in Boca Raton- I'm just not used to being that comfortable at a restaurant in SoCal anymore. Maybe it was the phenomenal chips and salsa. Maybe it was the Red Bull. Maybe it was me mentally planning my son's future wedding. Whatever the reason, I was completely chillaxed. For starters, our table ordered the guacamole, shrimp ceviche, and the elote-style corn that Maddie and Annabelle enthusiastically recommended. I THINK it was excellent.... To be completely honest, I was so hungry that I mixed everything together into some kind of delicious Mexican food supergroup, so I can't fairly critique each dish individually. It was less "fine dining" and more "culinary mosh pit" in my mouth. BUT...... that entree.... the enchiladas con ribeye... that was Bieber and Billie Eilish at this year's Coachella. Every bite, I felt like "One Less Lonely Girl"..... and I'm a girldad. I eat ribeye steak at least once every week. None of them taste like this. You already know I'm coming back for this. SOON. Finally, one last shout out to GM Tommie (or was it Tommy.... sorry my spelling sucks... ask Maddie for the proper spelling), who kept checking in on us. I really, really enjoyed being here.

Nestled on top of Pacific City at Huntington Beach , Ola Mexican Kitchen is a solid Mexican Restaurant with great outdoor views, electric vibe and good Mexican food ! We got seated at the outdoor patio with great views. Our Server was awesome and made some good recommendations. They started us with complimentary chips and salsa which was very good ! Some of the best I've ever had. We then had Trio Tacos which were good, Guacamole was excellent too and Shrimp Ceviche also hit the spot. Wife loved Beet and Watermelon Salad. We also tried their Habanero Salsa which had a solid kick ! Overall - great experience at Ola !

We were looking for light lunch with a relaxing ambiance and this place was perfect. The hostesses were nice and sat us by the windows. The views were amazing because its on the second floor. We were served their delicate chips and salsa to start. We ordered their trio tacos and our favorites were carnitas, and Baja fish. The salmon taco was dry and over cooked. Its great the foundation drink keeps flowing.

Great time here, really recommend this place if you are in town and want some good Mexican on the water. Stopped in on a Monday night and was easily able to get a table against the glass. It was a little chilly out, but they had heaters going, so it was comfortable to sit outside. Our waiter Curtis was extremely efficient, gave great suggestions, and took good care of us. I even saw that he was making our drinks himself which were quite good! Food itself was delicious, had the salmon tacos. The chips and salsa were also delicious and complementary. I had the jefe margarita, which was also very refreshing. I also thought it was very reasonably priced. Great time here, would easily come back next time I'm in town!

We had a party of six and sat outside, overlooking the ocean. The weather was amazing and the view was beautiful! The waiter was attentive. The beet & watermelon salad was the star of the meal! The guacamole with orange zest & pomegranate seeds as well as the salsa were both excellent! The Huntington Beach location is located in an outdoor mall and we will definitely be visiting again. Parking garage is expensive but restaurant will validate up to two hours so bring your receipt/ticket. They definitely need more plant based/vegan options.

Ola Restaurant truly serves some of the best Mexican food. The chips accompanied by the salsa were exceptional, featuring a delicious seasoning that stood out. The shrimp ceviche was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. The home made corn tortillas used for the tacos were among the best I've ever had. They held up well, even when they got a bit soggy, which is a testament to their quality. Service was excellent throughout our visit. We loved the experience so much that we returned two days in a row. Highly recommend Ola for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine!

The restaurant itself is beautiful along with the view. You can't beat it. The servers were attentive and helpful. They bring you complementary chips and salsa. The guac add-on is delicious though. For the tacos, you can mix and match and they're a good size with a lot of meat! Their drinks are also great a definite must go, especially in the summertime.

Today I visited a new Mexican restaurant called Ola Mexican Kitchen in Long Beach California on 2nd & PCH across from the marina. It's was such a beautiful sunny day 80 degrees outside perfect The restaurant aromas were smelling wonderful as we walked upstairs to the entrance. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside with views of the ocean and lovely boats in the marina. We got seat with views great views of the water and people enjoying themselves. Our waitress Daniella was friendly and delightful with a smile. Daniella had great suggestions for the food and drinks. We shared some yummy Elote Man Corn - Sautéed corn off the cob topped with cotija cheese and lime aioli delicious I had an IPA and my friend enjoyed a Margarita called El Dragón - It had Watermelon, Jalapeño Hornitos blanco tequila - watermelon purée - sweet 'n sour - fresh jalapeño so refreshing. We shared a plate of Refried Black Beans with Spanish Rice yummy. I enjoy Posole Traditional homemade carnitas soup, with all the fixings so delicious! Jeri enjoyed Enchiladas Con Queso with Fresh tortilla, three cheese blend, homemade guajillo pepper sauce, and queso fresco it was so good. The fresh made Chips and Salsa they serve are so delicious, we ate two baskets. This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and it's great for a date night, hanging out with friends or family or for a party. So many good selections on the menu we will definitely be back there again soon. Thank you for great hospitality and customer service which our waitress Daniella should be applauded for her hospitality!!! This place is amazing.

Best thing on the menu, imo

It took a while for me to do this review because I dreaded doing it... this incident occurred during my birthday dinner and it was such a let down! Server Ethan was attentive and gave time for us to place our orders. I ordered the Ola burrito and a few seconds into our meal... A LONG STRING OF HAIR... under the sauce and I was sooo disgusted + annoyed. They redid the burrito and I took it to go. The manager: Travis came over and extended his apologies but what can' be said about a situation like that... I liked the churros with ice cream + the chips and salsa. These were the best things I had. The Ola burrito was nothing special, imo. Filled with veggies, rice, beans.. the chicken needed more flavor --it was just ok. I don't think I'd return.

    Perfect evening!!!!

Ola is our favorite Mexican restaurant!! Every Meal we have eaten there is so delicious and authentic. The Chips and Salsa are the Best!! We request to be seated by the window always, since the views of HB are spectacular. Every Hostess and waiter are super friendly, helpful and caring, espesially Tommy, the Manager who checks in on customers..to see how everyone is doing. Thank you to all the amazing staff at Ola!!! See ya soon.

    Do they have chicken fajitas?

Just looked again at their menu, they do have rib eye steak fajitas. Never had them, as it is a bit pricy. But we have had other items that are delicious. It is worth going there. We like the one in Huntington Beach more then the Seal Beach… Read more

    Are there gluten-free options available?

Yes. Plenty of meat and vegetable options. Just tell them if you have Celiac so they can use different cooking utensils.

What is the parking situation here?

Plenty of underground parking. There's also a side parking but it's harder to find space specially weekends

Do they have a kids menu?

    Yes they do!

Are bottomless mimosas served both on Saturday and Sunday?

    No. Only Sunday:)

They were completely closed today when we went by. What's going on? Are they permanently closed?!

They've been closed for awhile since like late November, they say it's a temporary closure so hopefully they reopen sometime soon.

    Is this restaurant dog friendly?

Yes, it's dog friendly only in patio.

For some reason I cant make Reservation online?

Usually you can make reservations online. Maybe something is wrong with the system.

Happy Hour on Tuesday still happening?

Unfortunately we do not have a bar area to host happy hour with outdoor only dining still in effect so we are not currently offering this special.

Do they allow outside wine? If so how much is the CorkageFee? Thanks

We do allow outside wine. There is a corkage fee of $18 per bottle.

    Is this restaurant kid friendly?

Yes! I believe they had kid menus, and I saw children there during my visit.

If I came at 11 on Sunday would I be able to order off the regular menu or only brunch?

    Only brunch until 2pm.

If you want two tacos, can you get two different types or do they have to be the same? Thanks.

    They can be different.

Does this place have Happy hour?

Happy Hour....Yes They Have One....But Sadly, Still Not Worth The Price.

Are you dog friendly for patio seating? And - how about TV's for viewing sports games?

Unfortunately we do not meet the health department’s requirements to allow pets on our patio.

What's stroller parking? What happens if it's lost, stolen or damaged? New mom here and I have a pretty pricey Uppababy Vista stroller and I don't want anything to happen to it.

Just outside the front door entrance. If you love your stroller lock it up like you would at Disneyland.

Vegan options beside guacamole and salsa?

    Salads

    What is the recommended attire?

    Dress casual

We arrived and checked-in at the front and were told there was a little bit of a wait which we didn't mind, then the hostess asked if we would like a complimentary margarita while we wait and I said yes-please! Our server was this really nice Asian girl/lady. I wish I got her name, because she was so on top of it. Immediately she asked if it was our first time and I said it was mine. She suggested a few of the things she likes that were on the menu and I found that super helpful and went with the birria quesitacos and the house margarita that I had when I walked in. We were there to catch up on 3 weeks worth of stuff and our server read the room and was so polite when checking in on us. The food was great and the tortillas were what really stood out to me. I hadn't had tortillas this good since dining at Pour Vida. I ate one taco and some beans and then for dessert I had the Churros Royale and they were everything you would want in a churro dessert. I would come back here again and try to make it to their happy hour. We arrived just as it was ending around 7 pm. Our server really made our experience excellent and the complimentary margarita while we were waiting was an nice touch. I love when I go somewhere and they have complimentary drinks in a champagne flute ready to go. I experienced this while on vacation recently at a few places and this is the first time I've gone to a restaurant in California that does this. The experience here is top notch.
