We grabbed two burritos for lunch from Sancho's today and they were ready very quickly. There is plenty of seating outside at the counters with stools & there's a few tables as well. Service was friendly & efficient. The burritos were both delicious & it doesn't hurt that you can see the ocean from across the street while you are eating. I filled up my water bottle with cold water from their soda machine & I did not order a drink. Sancho's is still operating out of their old space, but a new building to house their operations has been built & it should be open soon. There's free parking in their lot. Peace. read more

Came here for the coffee next door and stayed because of burrito envy. It's close to noon and these 3 guys next to us had just gotten their burritos and I couldn't stop staring. Eventually got caught and was told if I don't get this burrito in my belly I might just murder someone to steal theirs. The breakfast burrito definitely hit the spot with their spicy salsa. Cheese lined tortilla with diced hash, avocado, fluffy eggs and everything else that's making me hungry again. The beach front view and weather is unbeatable on a nice day. read more

I came here with a friend when I was in Huntington Beach, looking for a spot with vegan options! When we arrived, there was a bit of a line but it moved very quickly! I ordered the Flaco Taco, which is the only vegan option there. Nevertheless, it sounded enticing! The food was made quickly and when my number was called, I was given an incorrect item. They had made my taco into a burrito! I was wondering why it was so expensive, but the employee apologized for the mistake, refunded me and recharged me for the taco and assured me it would be made quickly. I didn't mind the extra wait, as thankfully I wasn't in a rush. The taco was made quickly and I brought it outside to the patio. The patio was spacious and lovely and provided a gorgeous view of the beach. A perfect place to enjoy a taco! The taco itself was very flavorful and perfectly spiced. The combination of artichoke hearts, mushroom and spinach was fantastic and the flavors really melded well together. The avocado added a nice softness and creaminess to the taco. The salsa also added a nice touch to the meal. While I only got one taco, it was still very filling and hearty and not heavy at all! The food is affordable and a good value. I would love for the to make more vegan options! The restaurant inside is small and cute and I love the decor. Parking was also super easy in the surrounding neighborhood. It has been a few years since we have been to Huntington Beach. This was one of our go to places for great food at an affordable price. We stopped in today for Taco Tuesday. Had a couple of the OG Tacos and a couple of Chicken Tacos. Can't forget the chips and salsa. It was just like we remembered,, fantastic. Great place for a casual dinner. ...was passing by on my way home and stopped in because this place was referred to me recently by a friend. There's construction going on, so I couldn't find it right away and in addition, the sign saying SANCHO'S TACOS is written in a font that is not very clear IMO. The parking lot is small and it backs up to an alley, so I literally went around the block 4 times to realize I was at the right place. If that hadn't happened, I wouldn't have arrived at 12:06, AFTER the breakfast burrito was no longer offered, but the nice kid at the counter said he'd ask if they could squeeze me in since it just ended at noon. I asked for the burrito to be cut and wrapped in half cuz I could never eat a whole one. There are nice variety of salsa choices. I picked the spicy chipotle. It was spicy, but good! Overall, the burrito was good. A little "moist" for me (without the sauce) not sure why. The potatoes are always a reason to complain, but Sancho's cuts them in small pieces and mixes them with your meat of choice so, it's actually a good mouthful of flavors, not just potatoes. I'm into a convenient place to go in and out because I have a bit of a health issue/walking right now, so I'm not sure I'll be back cuz it's not really easy for me to park and walk in.... but, my problem, not yours. Got a quick bite here for lunch and it was pretty good! I will say the salsa was not my favorite. In my opinion it had no flavor and no spice to it. Very bland. The rice and beans were cooked to perfection. The OG Angus tri-tip taco was chunky and flavorful. Kinda dry but still good. The carnitas taco's were actually very juicy and soft. Very flavorful! They give a lot of protein in the taco's which I loved. The salsa again probably just my preference I didn't like the flavor of it but overall this was good! None of finished our dinner. "Tri-Tip" was like stewed and chewy, mild red salsa was just bland. Order fish burrito with no rice but instead it was like no beans. It was nothing but rice and also super bland. Another member of our party got like one of 4 different tacos. The one he said the protein tasted good on was the fried shrimp but he couldn't eat it like a taco because the tails were still on shrimp. I assume they were made with warm not hot oil. we had to blot them in a hurry. I didn't protest as we were in a hurry and I didn't want to embarrass my granddaughter. Straight trash, it should be called Bob's tacos because there's no Mexican flavor at all involved in this menu. The lady said that she was going to bring out the food. They ended up calling my name repeatedly over the intercom until I came in and asked I thought they said they were gonna bring it in. The guy said yes we were going to bring it then I'm like why are you calling my name so many times but overall crap go to chronic taco it's way better. The fish taco I liked, it was freshly fried and had a nice crunch. The beef taco was just okay. My dude rated the burrito just mid . Service was great and friendly . The ambiance .... I got Sancho's on Uber Eats back in 2020, remembered loving it, saw the sign walking by, and had to go in. We got the shrimp burrito and 2 flounder pounders. They are stuffffed. So much filling in both of them. The tacos do fall apart which suck, but delicious nonetheless. Can't wait to go back to try more as we were just grabbing a small lunch. Service is okay. Just a countertop set up, people didn't talk to us other than for the order. No big deal in that type of setup. read more

Came to Sancho's tacos in HB to try out a new taco place. When we arrived, there was one family sitting outside and the inside was empty. The workers were very pleasant and welcoming, and were not pushy in any way when we were taking our time reading through the menu on all of the screens. I did notice that the pricing for this place was rather steep and after reading the bio of the owner and him talking about hard economic times I can tell that he means Hard economic times for him and not for the actual customer paying five dollars for a small side of guacamole - which is a little steep! He also stated that he takes pride in his tortilla chips however they were warm and crunchy until you got to the middle of the chip, then it was like I was chewing rubber in my mouth. We tried the tri tip burrito and one Carnita burrito. We asked that both burritos have no onions and no cheese. However, one of the burritos ended up still having cheese in it. Good thing I didn't have an allergy. The Carnitas was good however I wish it was a little bit more braised, and the tri-tip was good as well. These tasted like a backyard burrito made at home however, for the price I paid it would've been cheaper to just make it at home for a family reunion lol. As stated, I got one tri-tip burrito, one carnitas burrito, an order of chips and salsa and the side of guacamole all for the grand total of $60 that literally blew my mind!!! I just went to a taco stand and paid $60!!!! I would've been better off going down the street to Tacos Los Cholos where I would've got more food for less money. Would I come back here? Sure... if I was in the area already and there were lines out the door everywhere else. I think the pricing here left a bad taste in my mouth. How superduper sad the best location for Sancho's tacos in Long Beach is closed and this location in Huntington Beach has never been comparable not even AFTER the other locations been shut down- meaning I'll probably never have Sancho Tacos again! Whomp whomp whomp! I wrote a review for the good many years ago for the LB location so if you need food details, that's the review to checkout, again... not the same quality at this location. This location is worn out, and being near the beach is no excuse! The chairs and tables are ran through the fans have webs for days, my skrimp tacos were served tasting "off", & a small piece of meat from the grill, almost made us throw up! Yeah, it's a no go. Awesome taco spot! They have the best fried fish taco. They are located right off the beach, you literally just cross the street and you're on the sand. Great place to get a bite and have a nice view of the water or take your food and go for a walk on the beach. Prices are a bit up there for a taco spot, but probably because the rent here is high since they're on the beach. Chips are amazing, they're so fresh and crunchy. Took a star away though because the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting - there's never any soap and it's just one small stall that smells awful and is so dirty. I feel more dirty leaving the bathroom than when I went in! And the bathroom is typically a good indicator of the restaurant's hygiene so that is concerning. read more

I actually came to this specific locations yelp to say this. I love Sanchos Tacos, I've been to both the san Clemente location and Laguna niguel location before recently moving to HB. So, naturally I was ecstatic that I'm now living 5 minutes away from a sanchos, just to go and find out that it was honestly incredibly mid at best compared to my experiences at the other locations. Ambiance: San Clemente is the best for this. Laguna Niguel, horrible. Huntington Beach, pretty good for a day-time munch. Service: Phenomenal no matter the location. Food: This is the reason I'm giving this particular location 3 stars. I've been there about 5 times now, since moving in. And I've been back to the sanchos in Laguna niguel, and san Clemente. At first, I thought it was just me being me and overthinking it. But, the food at this Huntington Beach location doesn't compare at all to the other two locations. I have no idea why, if they're using a different cut of meat, different import company etc. I have no clue. All I can say is, the food here doesn't even come close to the quality they offer at their San Clemente and Laguna Niguel locations. I waited to make this review specifically to give them the benefit of the doubt, so I wanted to try the other locations and this location again, and my hypothesis proved correct. We have been going to the Newport Sanchos since at least 2015 & this weekend was the first time going to the original location in HB. The HB location is larger & close to the beach on PCH. There is a small lot to park in, but if the lot is full there is underground parking across the street as well. You do have to pay for parking in the underground lot. Customer service was great, our orders came out accurate & hot. The food was good per usual. The actual restaurant itself is the reason I am not sure I will be back to this location. As much as I understand this location is the OG, it's really run down & kind of gross to be honest. Some of the seating was falling apart & there was Raid sitting out near the booths (gross). The door for the walk in area for their refrigerated items was completely open. The restroom for the customers was super run down as well. As much as I love Sanchos, this location needs some TLC. I didn't feel comfortable dining there because everything was dirty & dingy. read more

This is a cool little Mexican takeout spot right at the north end of Huntington Beach. Sometimes there's a few people in line at the lunch rush but otherwise service is prompt. I've actually been here a few times as it is definitely one of my favorite spots to grab food here. The fish tacos are definitely one of my go to. They're the perfect size for a hungry person to eat too and be filled up and they have a nice tangy sauce they put on them. Then I'm a classic bean and cheese burrito guy. I had the chicken in to theirs and that creates a filling meal and the price is not bad at all. My favorite thing here is definitely the sawed off breakfast burrito, I add chicken in it as well and it's more than enough food for me and since they cut it in half it's perfect for sharing with someone before going to the beach. I stopped by Sancho's Tacos to grab a breakfast burrito. They have a few different breakfast options like breakfast burritos or breakfast tacos. They also have regular tacos and burritos. We decided to try the sawed off burrito. It came with eggs, potatoes, cheese and bacon. The burrito was a large breakfast burrito. The tortilla tasted fresh and was soft. The burrito was made fresh and was hot when we received it. I would have loved some avocado in the burrito, but other than that it was good. It wasn't super flavorful, but the salsas helped add flavor. They have a handful of different salsas to choose from. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It located right next to 602 coffee. The employees at Sancho's tacos were friendly. We enjoyed our experience for our to-go breakfast burrito. read more

My friend and I came on a Tuesday morning and ordered at 11am, the hour when you can order both breakfast and lunch. He ordered a breakfast burrito along with some tacos and I ordered the Caliguey, which was $16. My burrito was quite flavorful, although a tad too salty, and honestly tiny for its price. If you've had burritos around SoCal, the ones here are delicious but definitely don't expect authenticity or value. I would come back and give it another try though! read more

Stopped by after being at the beach all day and looked up a good fish taco place on yelp. This place was one of the top three places in the area listed. My husband ordered two surf and turf tacos, two fish tacos, and one California burrito. Starting with the surf and turf tacos, the meat was flavorless and dry. The tortilla was both hard and crumbled as soon as I bit into it leaving me to pick up the rest of the taco with my hands. The star of the dish was the shrimp. Next are the fish tacos that had a lot of batter on them and really no flavor. They come with a lot of lettuce and cabbage as well as tomato and what looks to be jalapeños, but other than the drizzle of sauce on the taco, I really didn't taste anything but deep fried batter. Lastly is the California burrito which was $20. For the same dry Carne Asada burrito, I could have bought the Cali Steak and guac at Del Taco and been just as satisfied. Extra star for the very friendly and quick service. Clean and nice place to sit outside. Total came out to 70 bucks and it was not worth it. We'll be dining at Wahoos next time. read more

By far the worst tacos I have ever had. Nasty asada with some sort of BBQ sauce. The fish and shrimp tacos had no flavor. How the hell do they have so many great reviews? How?! The burrito lacked filling- definitely had 1/2 flour tortillas outstanding...... Oh, and don't get me started on the customer service. The cashier had no personality... oh, and there was a hair inside my salsa. I went inside and approached the cashier and told her these were by far the worst tacos I've ever had. I also told her I had a hair inside the salsa. I got an "Oh, so sorry about that." She should've just said the hair was free. I have no idea how this place has such great reviews. We have been here several times to get breakfast and they have amazing breakfast burritos with the chorizo and you can add the avocado. We've been here for dinner and the chicken burritos are out of this world and they have this really nice sweet spicy sauce called chubby sauce that I highly recommend. All of this for just $16! The tacos are huge (the pictures don't do them justice). I tried the shrimp, fish, and beef tacos, and they were all fantastic! I'm so glad I stopped by while visiting OC. The staff, especially the cashier, were incredibly friendly and kind. I arrived pretty late, about half an hour before closing, and was still trying to figure out the menu. Instead of rushing me, the staff patiently offered recommendations, which I really appreciated. Great food and amazing service--I'll definitely be back! read more
