Menu has a lot of Delicious Peruvian options including some diverse Pisco Sour Peruvian drinks. We were seated immediately and our order was taken promptly when we were ready to order. For drinks we had the Maracuya Juice and the Chicha Pisco Sour. It was very smooth. For food we ordered Chaufa Rice with Seafood, Pescado Saltado and Ceviche Mixto. Each dish was pretty big, even to share and take home. Flavor was exactly like Peruvian food should taste (my mom is Peruvian and I have been in Peru a few times). Definitely one of the best Peruvian restaurants in Portland/Beaverton area.

Sharing a large parking lot in a strip mall, the restaurant had simple decor apart from the wall art and the service was friendly and warm. Starting with a Corona served with ice-frosted mugs, warm bread with butter was served as a complimentary appetizer. The mixed seafood Cerviche was just bursting with flavor in its vinegary goodness, packed with fresh seafood. I had the deep-fried ribeye with pesto spaghetti. Portion was huge! Meat was thin and medium rare (perfect), and i could not finish the spaghetti which was tasty enough to be a dish on its own. We finished with a flan and tres leches (forgot the pics). Talk about going out with flair!

Tamale was mid I meant to get chicken but, it was shredded beef too. It had so much masa with very little meat I literally had cut it open to get to it (wouldn't get that again). Comp chips, salsa, and bean dip were really tasty. Service~It was great (it was really busy during lunch time). But, our waiter did explained a few menu items, and was polite & very attentive. I like the fact they have a lot of staff working so it's always someone near to assist with what you needed. Ambiance~Beautiful and really huge family owned restaurant (It could accommodate at least 300 maybe even more w/outside seating). Restroom was super clean and smelt fresh. Authentic Mexican music playing but, you can still hold a conversation. I would love to visit during dinner hours but, I would recommend giving this place a try. Plenty of parking.

Let me tell you I found it. Los Chapines, is the place for some amazing Guatemalan food. I had an order of the revuelta pupusas, cheese and meat and beans. They were very authentic and good sized. They are served with a vinegar slaw and red sauce. I could have eating many more, they were just like my moms. Then I noticed that tamales were on the menu. I ordered a tamale con carne, pork tamale. Huge tamale with a nice sauce and veggies. Served with bread very traditional dish. Lights out the best tasting tamale that I have had in years. The restaurant is tucked back in the plaza next to a Dotties. Very unassuming location. They also have many other Latin favorites on the menu and a bakery! OMG, I hit the lottery. The waitress was very nice and friendly. They have about 6-8 tables on each side. If you want to leave a tip bring some cash they do take credit cards for your meal. I am going to come again to try many more authentic dishes!

The aquariums toward the front of the restaurant with jellyfish and tropical fish added to the ambiance. They had a nice selection of zero proof and NA beverages, which I always appreciate. I tried the Lechon Fresca, and it was fantastic. It's a family-style tapas situation, so our server recommended 2-3 items per person, depending on our hunger level. For 3 of us, we ordered 7 items, and it was plenty. We had the piquillo pepper empanadas (yum) - they added on a 3rd for us so we could each have one - gaucho bread, the white corn and cheese fritters (my favorite, I think?!), patatas, Peruvian fried chicken bites (second favorite bite?), pastel de choclo, and lomo saltado (so good!). Everything was delicious! I'd have loved to try the shaved jicama salad, too - next time we're in town! We parked in a lot nearby, but you can also get lucky and find street parking on the side streets. There are a few tables outside if you're looking for outdoor dining, but we liked the vibe inside. Highly recommend for a fun evening out and a chance to try several different things - you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating and we arrived around 9 pm and were sat down immediately even though the restaurant seemed busy. Luckily we were there during happy hour. Waitress was polite even though they were super busy! I would also say prices were average. We ordered a bacan de pollo, camarones al ajillo con setas, ropa vieja, chocolate, canchanchara, passion fruit limonade, flan and pudin. I absolutely loved the avocado salad in the camarones of ajillo. My boyfriend said the ropa vieja plate was solid. I wasn't the biggest fan of the bacan. I just feel the flavors weren't there compared to the other plates. The highlight of the night for me personally were chocolate drink and pudin. I cannot speak on the flan as I did not taste it. Pudin was absolutely yummy, not too sweet and the chantilly was sweet and creamy. The hot chocolate was absolutely delicious and I loved the mint twist in it. I don't know when we will be in Portland again but I can't wait to try their empanadas and their other desserts!
