We had an incredible experience at Ferraro's Kitchen last night while celebrating our sweet friends bachelorette in the VIP room. Our party of six couldn't have asked for a better evening. I have a very restricted diet due to allergens and almost never eat out because of it but our servers, Tony and Josiah, completely changed that for me. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe, thoughtful, and still absolutely delicious. That level of care and attention meant more than I can put into words. The steak was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. And the olive oil... I genuinely wanted to buy a bottle and take it home it was THAT good. Tony and Josiah didn't just provide great service they made the entire night feel easy, special, and memorable for everyone at the table. We felt genuinely taken care of from start to finish. I had dinner at Ferraro's over Memorial Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is small but it has a nice modern, upscale atmosphere; due to the size I'd recommend a reservation on weekend nights. Service was very good and our waiter kept us well attended. The starter of Italian bread and olive oil was fresh and very welcomed as we'd had a light lunch. Perusing the menu, the tagliatelle with wild boar sounded tempting, but when I heard the night's special of cavatelli bolognese I had to try it (the waiter added his approval). It was excellent, with the pasta cooked al dente and a nice, flavorful bolognese sauce; the portion was just right. My wife wasn't terribly hungry so she had a salad as an entree and really enjoyed it. She also tried the espresso martini and it was good though not memorable. Many of the menu prices were closer to what you'd find in a larger city but so was the quality of the food and experience. We will definitely have Ferraro's on our short list of restaurants for our next visit to Blue Ridge...definitely recommended. read more

I went to Ferraro's Kitchen and had a wonderful time. We were in Blue Ridge, GA for the weekend and came here to celebrate a joint birthday dinner. The service was great as they constantly checked on us, the staff was helpful with providing recommendations from the menu, and were quite humorous and entertaining. EXQUISITE dining experience. Mattia and his family have recreated a five-star Italian dining experience in the mountains of Georgia. Food was superb -- we had the salt-encrusted sea bass. Moist and perfect. Even the asparagus was cooked perfectly. Mattia attended us with unexpected personal service and made our dinner levels above what you could get anywhere else. Table service was immaculate, management and food servers were attentive and kind. We both lived in Europe and this restaurant made us feel right at home. Great experience. Service was impeccable. Food was great. Carpaccio was almost perfect - there was just a bit too much olive oil used and because they use high quality olive oil it overpowered the rest of the flavors. The wild boar pasta was perfect. The venison dish was delicious but the sauce was very thin and almost non existent on the plate. We were there for our anniversary and they made us feel celebrated but also gave us our privacy to enjoy our meal. Restaurant is clean and beautiful. Ferraros Kitchen has a restaurant here and a restaurant in Miami so I was very excited to try this. I started with the Arancini and burrata with prosciutto both were amazing. We then moved to the main course the famous Spaghetti cacio pepe, It was good not great you could taste some of the liquor that was used to melt the cheese as this was served and prepared at the table. It could have been an off night but it was still very good. We shared the veal and the table side prepared spaghetti. The spaghetti was delicious. It was very rich. The veal was delicious, but the center of the portion was slightly undercooked and caused it to be chewy. The outer edges were crispy on the outside and fork tender on the inside. A ton of cheese on top that was perfectly melted. Arancini and salad for appetizers, both were really good. The apple crisp dessert was worth going back for. Must try. I had read great things about this place, so we were really excited to try it out and we were not disappointed! Definitely make a reservation if you want to eat here because it was packed! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. We decided to order the meatballs as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious. They also gave us plenty of sauce that tasted great. I don't love when a tomato sauce has a lot of sugar, and this didn't have that taste at all. I ordered the mushroom risotto with truffle and that was to die for! I'm a sucker for a lot of cheese, and boy did they put a lot of cheese in that risotto. The mushrooms and all of the truffle added the perfect amount of flavor. My boyfriend had the lasagna bolognese and while I only had a bite, it was absolutely delicious! He loved it. I had no idea that it was going to come out in the beautiful sea salt casing where they debone it and separated for two people. Served alongside delicious asparagus. There are not enough stars to give our first experience at Ferraro's. It was truly amazing, especially regarding the food and our Server (with a capital "S"), Tony! When we learned that Tony was 'new,' we were shocked. He was attentive without being smothering; he was sensitive regarding the accuracy of our orders; and just overall an intelligent, knowledgeable attendant. Now, to the food. If you find anything better, then I think that's where you need to be. But our choices were menu items that we are used to ordering. I feel we have a handle on what's excellent and what's not with regard to those choices. They were truly beyond our expectations. Amazing flavors in your mouth. I ordered the lamb Osso Bucco over saffron risotto. The meat was tender fall off the bone & the saffron flavors took me back to India where you can find the freshest saffron. Ferraro's Kitchen was a great place to eat while in Blue Ridge! It is new and definitely stands out amongst the dining scene of this charming town. We had the opportunity for the owner's son to wait at our table, and he was excited to answer any questions we had about the menu and the restaurant's origins! We ordered one of every special that night, starting with the lobster ravioli as an appetizer--delicious, decadent, and rich! Very oily, if not a bit too heavy for me, but its flavor was outstanding. One guest also ordered the cacio e pepe with black truffle, which was made table-side in a cheese wheel! Ferraro's does a nice job of keeping food simple and delicious while also indulging the experience. They are most well-known for the Catch of the Day entree, which happened to be branzino, a Mediterranean fish. It was brought to the table covered in salt and then cut into by the waiter, who did a fantastic job deboning the fish for us. And WOW! This fish blew us away! It's a straightforward dish, just fish, but cooked perfectly with no hints of dryness or strange texture. The chef's choice of preparation ensures that the fish itself is the star of the show! I ordered the pear ravioli, which was decent. I liked the hint of sweetness from the pears and the dumpling-style pasta, but I was not too impressed. Overall, the food is great! The staff is lovely, and the ambiance is nice; it is definitely refreshing for Blue Ridge's downtown scene. The food is of great quality, adequately portioned, and reasonably priced, making for a wonderful experience. Visiting Blue Ridge over the weekend for my birthday and chose Ferraro's for dinner after going through all of the reviews for local restaurants. So happy we did! It's a small space on the second floor of a retail shopping center near the courthouse. It was a great experience from the time we arrived. The hostess was super sweet. Our server, Robert, was amazing. Everyone who stopped at our table provided great service. We had previewed the menu online before coming and knew what we were most interested in. Robert made sure we knew about the specials and made recommendations based on our interests. The bread was just okay. We started with the arancini and it was above average. Our salads were both delicious. We chose to share the Veal Parmesan and the Cacio de Pepe. The veal was a bit chewy but had good flavor overall. It is a large portion and can easily be shared but does not come with a side. We also shared the Cacio de Pepe which is prepared table side. It was very rich but delicious. It is a smaller portion and was $40. The apple strudel dessert was worth a second trip back (the manager comped since we didn't love the veal). We made reservations but it seemed that some people were able to come in and get a table without a long wait. There seemed to be plenty of street parking in the area. read more

We showed up at 9:00 p.m. for our 8:45 reservation, then the staff told us "the kitchen is closed". I guess if we had made it on time then they would have told us we need to hurry up and decide what we want our appetizers, entrees, desserts, and cocktails to be for the evening since the kitchen is closing in 10 minutes. We went here after chatting with someone earlier in the week that was just leaving. She highly recommended it. We had the pappardelle with wild boar and the pear pockets. We skipped appys but had the cannoli for dessert. Had not had a pappardelle/wild boar dish since Italy and this was right up there with what we enjoyed then. Usually have had the pear pockets as appetizers but gave it a try as a main. There were no leftovers of either dish. Just fabulous. Two cannoli were served, one with a berry drizzle and the other with chocolate. These were excellent as well. The filling was lighter than normal and really tasty.
