Honestly I understand the ratings this restaurant has; the tacos were very bland and the meat tasted very burnt. Not only that, but somehow they were dry and chewy at the same time. The server never brought out the water we asked for and the fountain drinks are flat. We decided to try this place out on a whim, and the decor was the main reason we came into the restaurant, but honestly don't let that be a deciding factor for your visit. We had to wait for a while even though there was one other table seated, and we were told we couldn't sit in a certain section because it was "full". For the price, definitely not worth it. The manager was nice and offered us a change of meals, but after eating our dry tacos we had lost our appetites.

The guacamole was fresh. That's about it. This Was just not good at all. From the weak service to the burnt beans and unseasoned rice. For the money spent totally not worth it.

For the most part, we came to this Mexican restaurant in LaGrange to drink some, but also get something to eat. It made for a wise decision, because the drinks are definitely better than the food. Casa Margarita has tons of those to choose from, many in cool ass colors. Prices are pretty high on most items. The food is extremely overpriced and limited as well. Came in and got seated at the bar. It has a pretty small bar area in the corner. There's not a whole lot of room there but thankfully it wasn't busy yet. Atmosphere seems more authentic than typical Tex Mex places apparently. Of course we got margaritas. It's about $12 for the jumbo. Lots of cool flavors including banana, guava, and more. As for the food, not as good. Prices have more to do with it though. It's about $11 for an appetizer of guacamole. This is among the few items that are vegetarian. Many of the ones such as all the burritos and tacos have meat. There's not many other kinds of options. Great if coming to get margaritas. It's about the only reason to come though. The food lacks any really good options for vegetarians.

This Great custom margaritas and excellent service. Friendly staff and delicious drinks--highly recommend.

Got steak fajitas with nothing taco shells to put them in.very disappointed so very upset

I don't understand why this place is not busy. Me and my mom regular here and I literally not once have had a bad time. The service is great. The food is flavorful and consistently good. Lastly, the drinks are amazing! I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Dalia was our server which was unfortunate for us. She seemed nice in the beginning but we should have seen the red flags of S -L-O-W service. Just BAD. It started with us sitting at the table and realizing the table had not been wiped down. There were little bits of onion and salsa on the plastic tablecloth. Our server comes over and plops down menus and we asked her to wipe down the table. She promptly did but said she didn't know the table wasn't wiped. Ok perhaps not her fault. But the drinks took forever and a day to come out. She came back maybe 15 min later and apologized for the wait. Ok again maybe not her fault... maybe? They were just two of their menu margaritas (Classic Margarita and blue island margarita) and tasted like basic premix. All right I thought I will give her the benefit of the doubt. But it took her a while to come back to get our food order. Seemed she didn't manage her time properly. The restaurant itself was not busy. She had maybe three tables. The interior is very nicely decorated. I love the Mexican decor and the cute waterfall gazebo in the middle. The menu is large and the drinks are just average. The bathroom was not that clean. The food did come out quickly, I will give the kitchen that. And my food was quite good. I ordered the Fiesta enchiladas which came with three different sauces. A homemade rich Mole sauce which you could definitely taste the chocolate, a ranchero sauce (just meh) and a verde sauce (was ok). I ordered just cheese enchiladas so you can't really screw that up. My friend got a taco salad with shredded chicken which she said she liked. Everything went sideways when we didn't get any follow up from Dalia. She didn't come back ONCE to check on the food or to see if we wanted any more drinks. A missed upsell opportunity in my opinion. She was more interested in lingering and chatting in Spanish with the other two tables. We sat at our table for at least 20 minutes, it was obvious we were finished as we had put napkins on top of our plates. Other servers kept walking past us and it didn't seem so busy as other servers were walking around aimlessly. Not once did dalia come over to clear our plates. She finally came into the dining room with a food order and I waved at her and smiled to get her attention. She nodded and said she would be back. Yet we still were neglected! We waited another 10 minutes for our check. Just ridiculous. It was here that I decided this was not a good experience, she had really put a damper on our evening. Not sure what is the problem but she could use more customer service training. We should have sat outside as those folks seemed to be well attended. Just a real shame.

Burritos the size of a half loaf of bread…read more In looking around Brookfield for a place to eat at before we hit up Galloping Ghost Arcade, every online comment pointed to trying Taco Azteca. My dad was down for some tacos so we hit up Taco Azteca before we got to gaming. I actually drove by the place, missing the turn to get there due to the strange parking lot situation. After a loop around the block, we pull in to the shared parking lot and headed inside. My dad was looking at the menu on the drive up and was waffling between a taco salad and a burrito. Once I placed my order for a beef burrito, my dad followed up with the same thing. We tried to find a place to sit but the place isn't too conducive to eating in with the few tables they had were either taken or dirty from the prior visitor. The staff was super nice and friendly in trying to get a table cleaned up for us. We ended up snagging one and were promptly served tortilla chips with some of the best guacamole I have ever had. I'm not big on guac as I find it to taste too similar to pumpkin (everyone I tell this looks at me like I am crazy) but this stuff was delicious and had a nice kick to it. My dad found the sauce in one of the bottles to be spicy as hell and passed on using more of it. I found them to be quite yummy but I love me some heat. We nearly devoured half the chips by the time the food came out. They were that good and the food came out that fast. I'm used to Mexican-sized burritos but these might take the cake. They were MASSIVE. I showed everyone I know and their eyes got huge when they saw how big it was. The fries that came with it were those with the little bits of batter on them and I knew they were going to be good. I knew we were in for a good time. How do you even eat something that big? Very slowly and somewhat messy, that's how. I devoured half my tasty fries to free up space on my plate just in case I made a mess. Luckily, this burrito held itself together rather nicely. The burrito was super tasty but I do feel like maybe a chicken or pork version would've been better. I like beef but wasn't in the mood for it when I ate my burrito. That's on me though for not paying attention when ordering and accidentally getting beef. My dad loved his burrito and was able to put the whole thing down since he didn't eat breakfast. I had breakfast so I was only able to put down a little over half. My bottomless pit of a stomach isn't so bottomless now that I am almost 40 (a week shy of 39 during this visit). Overall, Taco Azteca lived up to the hype and was worth every bite. I really wanted to get some of the guac to go. My only warning is that the parking lot is shared and can be tight as well as the seats inside. This place serves better for carry-out if it's busy like it was when we were there.
