Really love the idea of this place, but the execution needs some work. We tried it because there are just so few celiac friendly places for my family to eat. First things first, I found the burrito was pretty good - barbacoa was 8/10. Everyone else (7 others) thought their food was okay - average of 7/10 across the board. This is what gives me hope. The food is decent and a little more attention to the meal, it would've been great. But where Ino's needs work is in the customer service, ambiance, and price. Honestly, the greeting, ordering, and delivery was just awkward. It wasn't remotely busy, but like a few waters took a long time, they didn't have avocados to make a guac without tomatoes - or at least that's what we were told - and even though the person ringing me up didn't catch that I ordered two fries (which is ok, not a biggie), it was the tone when I asked about them that unnerved me. Like, I don't want free fries or anything, but what's a basket of fries to feed the family of seven that just dropped as much as I just did for a return visit? Again, don't want free stuff, but the attitude meant I wasn't spending another dime on fries. This place has potential. When someone with a smile and an attentive attitude is engaging with customers, when they are stocked properly with avocados at a Mexican restaurant, and when the quality of meals matches the price tag, I'd love to come back. We ordered takeout for 5 asada burritos. We loved going to Ino's on 35th back when it was around. To be fully honest, the order left us underwhelmed and disappointed. For one, the meat distribution across all of our burritos was mixed. Some had plenty of meat, others were mostly beans, lettuce, tomato. All of the burritos were greasy and falling apart. The overall taste was fine, but for the price of the burrito, it wasn't worth it in our opinion. Nearly $20 per burrito, and there are no sides included. Additionally, the salsa verde was watery and not very flavorful. I understand the big perk of this restaurant is the gluten-free aspect, but the tortilla's texture felt undercooked and gummy. It fell apart quickly upon transportation back to our home (10 minutes). Perhaps the food is better when it is immediately served, or the tacos are better, but I would advise against ordering the burritos for takeout. Fantastic - actually gluten free - Mexican food! If you are celiac you know how rare it is to find a gluten free kitchen. The vast majority of "gluten free" offerings at most restaurants are very significantly cross contaminated. This place has a full menu of offerings from breakfast to burritos to sopas to enchiladas, tons of options. The sides are great too. The prices are high but the offering is good, and again, rare. SO comforting to be able to actually order anything off the menu. I hadn't eaten an actual burrito (only bowls) in years before today. Thank you Ina's!! This place is outstanding. A true 10/10. I'm from Cali and I know great Mexican food. And I can tell you all that this establishment, is great Mexican food. They just do it right. Everything. I notice all of the details. The Jamaica drink to start was on point. It is the PERFECT amount of sweetness and tartness. They definitely got the balance right on this Agua Fresca. Next, the Al Pastor taco. Wow. Juicy. Flavorful. Seasoned to perfection. It was so flavorful!!! I really love how they cut the pineapple to blend in with the Al pastor meat. A lot of places in Cali don't do that and I wish they did. This was by far my favorite taco from this place. Also the amount of cilantro and onion they put on the taco is much appreciated. They also give you a lot of meat on the taco. The Caldo de Pollo was 10/10. I came to this place with an upset stomach from my flight and let me just say the Caldo de Pollo was so curing and soothing. SO much flavor in the broth!! And they give you SO much chicken in the soup!!! You really get your money's worth here. I love cabbage in soup and I really love how they include that. The rice that comes with the soup complemented the soup so well and was great mixed in with the broth. And lastly the pickled carrots were IMMACULATE. Wow. Very flavorful as well. I truly appreciate how the ENTIRE menu is gluten free. I have Celiac Disease and this place is a dream come true. I really wish I could bring this restaurant in my pocket with me back to California! I was depressed not to be able to go to so many of my favorite restaurants, but then I discovered Ino's Tacos!! I've already been there twice and had every taco they've got. The pineapple pork ones was my favorite. I brought some tacos home to my wife, the true food judge, and I think she loved them even more than me. After three months the doctors and I have decided that I can end my gluten-free diet. But, I will still be going to Ino's Tacos. Finally got the chance to stop by for lunch and we were not disappointed! We don't live nearby but were in town a couple of months ago. My wife has celiac disease and we had always seen Ino's pop up in search results for "dedicated gluten free" restaurants and wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, we drove all the way to the restaurant and there was a sign on the door that they were closed for the weekend. I knew their hours from Google and the FindMeGlutenFree app, but didn't think to look at Facebook. Either way, we were disappointed and had a hard time finding something else that night that everyone could eat. Fast forward to this weekend: We were in town again and I called ahead this time to make sure they would be open. They were and we came for lunch. Everybody in the family went for tacos -- chicken, steak, veggie, etc. with some chips and salsa. Everything was delicious and it is always so wonderful for my wife to be able to eat somewhere and not have to worry about getting sick because of cross-contamination of the food. I'm also from Texas, so I get a little picky with Mexican food sometimes since I've grown up with some of the best of the best. Ino's did not disappoint! The folks in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Whenever we're in town, we'll definitely be coming back! This is a great little spot for tacos. Today was my first time to visit and I got the fajitas and they were great. Definitely recommend. Ino's is fantastic! Here's the deal...my wife is from San Diego. Like fourth generation San Diegan. She's particular about her Mexican food. We've found some gems for sure, but we're so lucky to have a place like Ino's right here in the LGP. Carnitas are amazing, barbacoa is fantastic, and the tamales are great for the kids. We love their guacamole too. My daughter is two and I hope she grows up with this place. Her and I getting tacos down the street for as long as we live here. For a completely gluten-free establishment, I was pretty impressed! They wrap your taco in foil and paper so that you don't make a big mess! However, it still can get messy. The taste was certainly on point though, I had the pork and the chicken tacos and I would certainly would go back again. Very similar to authentic street tacos. This place is a joke, I ordered a steak fajita dinner which cost us $16.95 before tax and it looked like it was already half eaten. I called the restaurant and spoke to the person who made the dinner I'm assuming it was the owner/ manager and he said I made it and it's all portion controlled. I said seriously it looks like someone had eaten out if it. He said well that's what we give with our dinner I told him for that cost I could have bought 3 steak tacos and would have gotten more food and paid lots less. This is such a friendly and clean establishment. We were having a party, and two people couldn't have gluten. We were delighted to find a place that could cater to us. There are about four tables inside with nice spacing in between. Someone designed a lovely space and so shiny and clean. We particularly enjoyed the Mexican corn, which is a special order for catering. The sides to put on the tacos were generously sized. Everything was packed carefully for our catering order. We didn't go five stars because we wanted a little more seasoning on our taco meat, but there were terrific toppings to put on everything. First time checking the place out. Service was fast, food was very bland. I got the 4 taco carne asada dinner with onions and cilantro. I couldn't taste the green salsa at all, I understand it's called medium so it's not supposed to be spicy, but it had no flavor what so ever. The only flavor present upon eating the taco was the corn flavor from the tortilla and little hints of cilantro. The frijoles were even lacking in flavor, and the rice was undercooked and hard.
