Terrible experience. I won't be returning. My family went once and our service was terrible, they messed up on my husband order (he requested green sauce and not red) and when I told the on staff manager,who was also our server, he took my husband's burrito. When it returned it was very obvious they had just wiped off the sauce and then covered it with then green resulting in food that we refused to eat. I was absolutely shocked that this place had such a great rating and that this was the experience that we got. I understand that Kalispell has a lot of tourists, however we live here and this was completely unacceptable. This is our go to for Mexican food! We usually eat in the cantina. The staff are friendly and super efficient! Shelly takes great care of us. The chip and salsa are yummy, the beer is cold and we have never had a bad meal. Today I had Baja fish tacos and they were so good. Very lightly breaded and fresh. This is one of my favorite spots! The food is pretty authentic, and the service in the bar area is very attentive and quick. We actually prefer getting seated there. I usually get the chicken enchiladas verde, and I'm never disappointed. My husband has tried a few different dishes, but he's finished them every single time (which is really saying something)! Portions are also generous, which justifies the price point for me. Drinks were also superb. Hubs got a Moscow mule, and it was one of the best ones he's ever had. If you like spicy, try the Jalapeño Margarita. Their Tropical Margarita is quite dangerous though. Tastes so sweet that you dont know you're having a Margarita. Two of these and you'll be grinning from ear to ear. Their fajitas are top notch! I got the Casa Fajitas that has Chicken, steak and shrimp. The steak and shrimp were sooooooo good! Even after reading the yelp reviews I too was skeptical that a place this far north would have any resemblance to real Mexican food. Glad I trusted yelp! This place is huge and busy! We ordered Chile Colorado, Chicken Enchiladas and Shrimp Enchiladas, there were so many things wrong. First they lost the entire order, then as they were bringing it out a server took part for someone else's order. We asked for the rice and beans to be separate, all the rice/beans from all meals were in big containers. When we got home we realized they forgot part of the order. The Shrimp Enchiladas were made with brine shrimp. The Chile Colorado had shards of broken plastic in it like it'd been dropped and scooped up and put in a new container. On top of all that, the taste of it was so bad I think Taco Bell would've been a better choice. If I could give less than one star I would read more

The food was also pretty authentic to what we were looking for. Ordered the Casa Fajitas and Super Nachos. Both were good, but my favorite was the Casa Fajitas. Generous portions of shrimp, chicken and beef with a good mix of the veggies (peppers, tomato and onions). Salsa had a good flavor, just a slight kick to it. I like mine spicier, but understandable that not everyone likes the heat in salsa! It's a family restaurant but does have a separate bar section with some casino machines. The young man that helped me with my order was very friendly and made suggestions with my order as I was from out of town. Looking around while waiting I noticed that all staff was very friendly and helpful, created a great family type of environment and the food was great. Face it, you're thousands of miles from the Mexican border. Not as authentic as I had hoped... my chili relleno was void of ANY CHEESE. The inside was empty... both of the ones I got were hollow. Just an egg battered chili. The salsa that accompanied the chips was a very small & shallow bowl. Not even enough for 1/2 basket of chips. A whole chip didn't even fit into the dish. This is my family's absolute favorite spot to go for lunch or dinner. We go more than I'm willing to publicly admit. Nelson and Ulysses are our go to servers but everyone is fantastic. We feel so welcomed every time we come in, even with our crazy 2 year old. I recommend the shrimp fajitas, tacos de mar, Al pastor street tacos, the supreme burrito or the topopo salad for something lighter. The strawberry jalapeño margarita pitcher is great and you won't find a better deal around town for drinks/food. We'll be customers as long as their doors are open! read more

One of the best locations of this restaurant. I really like the atmosphere and the service. Very fast for lunch and you can order off the lunch menu. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but you leave full and happy. I didn't say fat and happy. But full and happy is much more politically correct. Perhaps you'll have a food baby, I couldn't say for sure. But what I like to order on the lunch menu is the corn flautas with shredded beef. Flauta in Español means flute, which the perfect word for these little things. Okay, you can call them taquitos too, but Flautas are more authentic sounding. Casa Mexico is the most authentic probably in the Flathead. And you'll enjoy whatever you get. read more
