Service is horrible people playing on their phones and talking not serving the customers no water no chips and salsa

A great place for friends and family great enchiladas and sopapillas. Great salsa and green sauce

The staff is rude. I simply asked if a hard-working young man was going to be working the next day. They seemed to get a real laugh out of it for some reason. I don't care for some of the staff there and he seemed kind and helpful so I wanted to make sure he got my tips. That is all. Consistent food and service. Good atmosphere and staff has always been friendly. We recommend them!

My girlfriend has food allergies and asked that her nachos not be served with TOMATOES. When she asked our server about the red thing on her plate, he said it was red bell pepper. It was not. It was tomato. Her throat started swelling up immediately and she broke out in red whelps. She told the server. At that moment, he should have gotten the manager and her meal should've been comp'ed. Restaurants need to be more aware of food allergies and how seriously they can affect people. Luckily, she did not have to go to the hospital. read more

Yuk, yuk, yuk!!! Do not eat here!! Dirty sticky bar and absolutely the worst service, especially in the bar. Bartender would rather watch the videos on the TV than serve you. We gave this restaurant many chances over the last few years, hoping for improvement each time we went, but the last time was the last time for us! We won't ever go again! Had a horrid experience there tonight (03/21/2013). I am on a diet and Mexican food isn't part of it, so I get a glass of water while my wife and friends order...we are told there will be an additional charge for me sitting at the table and not eating! I hadn't gone here in years and always see the packed lot so I decided to give this place a try. My brother got the steak fajita, husband got the chicken enchiladas, and I got the steak & spinach enchiladas. The service was good and we got our food pretty fast. The food itself was mediocre at best. The green sauce they give you with your chips and salsa looks like melted wax and taste like it too. The sautéed onions and peppers on the fajitas were ridiculously mushy and the steak tastes like it came from a package and just microwaved. The tortillas aren't fresh or homemade, which is really pathetic, how do they call themselves a Mexican restaurant? The corn and flour tortillas look/taste like the packaged ones you get at Walmart. The spinach enchiladas were okay, nothing special, everything was just covered in sauce. So I didn't really taste the spinach. My husband's chicken enchilada was nothing special either, really bland. Needless to say dinner here was an absolute fail. My husband immediately got sick and has been in the bathroom all night. My brother also got a lemonade and they charged us $3. Really?! It was just lemonade from the fountain, nothing special. So ridiculous! read more

This place has gone downhill the past few years. The bench seats near the back are broken, lumpy, and sink but they still seat you there. If you are seated in the back the smell of the bathroom sometimes overpowers the smell of the kitchen wich in NOT very appetizing. We have, on several occasions, been "forgotten" by wait staff. Every time I have gone the past couple of years, wich is sparingly because of the experience, has been more unpleasant than the last. I used to BEG to eat here (mostly because of the green dip) but since I now have the recipe I try to avoid this place all together. read more

What was I thinking not checking the reviews before going! I agree with the comments below. Decent décor but food is dreadful. Service was good, she was attentive & friendly, if not for her it would be 1 star. Prices are high, drink was $2.59, must need to do that to make up for the .55 little cup of something that was suppose to be a margarita but was not worth the .55 if that's possible. Went there once in Lufkin...The server was terrible. .No hello no nothing ,didn't even tell us his name.When ask ,what beer there have, he did not have a clue. He never took the used plates of the table..He walked by our table at least 8 times.When I go eat I want to be greater and at least let me know the person's name..The food is marginal and overpriced. ..We will not ever go back!! read more

We stopped in here last night by family referral. The chips n salsa were great, loved the green sauce especially. He ordered the wet burrito and it was fabulous, lots of flavor and enough food for two. I ordered shrimp taco dinner and they were very good also and the rice and beans were delicious. We also ordered a side of Avocado stuffed with chicken and beef and cheeses and fried, and all I can say is it was fantastic. The margaritas were a tad small, even the large ones weren't what we were use to as a regular size. Not everythings bigger in Texas . Casa Ole redecorated and it seems improved the quality of food also. Service was very good. One of the other popular Tex-Mex restaurants in Lufkin has been a disappointment on recent visits so decided to try Casa Ole again. Very good food at better prices than couple of other Tex-Mex restaurants. read more

We were in town and stopped by. It was delicious, way better than ours back home. I loved the green sauce and the spinach dip was awesome.

After about ten years since the last time I ate at Casa Olé with our last bad experience. Today I talked my wife into giving them another try. Bad mistake and I'm sorry to her for that. After almost finishing the meal my wife realized that her glass had not even been washed, there were what looked like beans stuck on the inside of her glass. The manager said that it was inexcusable and she was sorry and took care of the price of the meal but not my margarita. Who knows what kind of bacteria that glass had on it. This place is a health hazard, and with an issue as severe as this I would have taken care of the entire thing was only $15. This will be the last time for Casa Olé and I hate that because they have great cheese enchiladas. read more

'Casa' is a great place to chill at the bar with friends and or watch whatever is happening on the tube. Drink prices are resonable and pretty good too. The food is desent - much better than El Chico but is not authentic mexican. read more

We decided to give Casa Ole a try because we ate there about 3 weeks ago and it was great! (Even after telling myself I wouldn't go back.) Our waiter was wonderful and everything went smoothly. Let me say that I am not hard to please, but when we go out and spend quiet a bit of money on a meal, I expect at least good service and tasty food. Our waiter was polite, but he didn't really seem very interested in serving us. We had pretty simple plates and the restaurant was pretty much empty. We arrived at 8:06 and did not receive our food until a little after 9. There is no reason it should have took that long!! I had to go ask the manager when our food was going to come out. She said it was ready right now. Which, yes it was. When I got my food it was cold. Not sure why because the rest family's food was hot. My husband's chicken was burnt. The manager did offer to bring me a hot plate, but judging by how long it took to get my original plate out, I was like no way am I going to wait another 45 minutes....Super disappointed. I told myself after bad service we had a while back that I was not going to come back. We did have a good experience weeks ago, but tonight...We did not. Guess it's a hit or miss on the service you will receive. Don't go on a Monday night. read more

I have no complaints with the food. My gripe is with the staff with hair that covers their forehead and eyes. While they are taking your order, they continuously are slinging their head over the table. Our waiter never told us his name, nor did he return to our table after giving us our food. Don't waste your time here, food is substandard. Management is very rude. This place is an embarrassment to Casa Oles everywhere else. I wont be back to this location. Ana who works there who was acting as management when I was there last can stick her pot roast fajita up her nose. FYI, in the picture section 3 of the photos are not even of the enterior of this Casa Ole and 2 of them are of food taken on a stainless steel table, they have NO tables like that there!!LOL read more
