Why is that every time I go to a restaurant in the Pearland or Seabrook area, the hostess loves to sit me at a table near the restroom? I mean, do I have a port-a-potty scent to myself or what?! I don't wanna sit near the restroom that has to be the most gross thing ever. The restroom. On a Saturday night, where there is hardly anybody in the restaurant just a three families and more than a bundle of tables and the hostess decides to sit me right next door to the restroom..that is not smart thinking. Ever so often, guess what I hear? The toilet flushing or the hand dryer..WOW, something I would love to hear while I'm dining..how special. Anywho, we didn't asked to be moved as I would have liked. Our waiter, Rusty was outstanding. He was always attentive, courteous, friendly, loving to talk casually, and my dad absolutely adored him. The green sauce and red sauce, not at all salsa texture, was good for the moment. The chips OK tasting. The spicy chicken tortilla soup wasn't at all spicy so don't be fooled. The taste was delicious, but it didn't have any tortilla chips in it..that was surprising. I ordered the wet burrito and it was big portion sized also tasty. However, it was just mediocre though. The burrito was just cheese and ground beef meat. Nothing special. It was always drowned in cheese, refried beans, and grease. I definitely wouldn't order it again. The place had a lingering old carpet smell; it was quite gross to bear as I was eating. I nearly started to gag, I had to keep tricking my mind that they had air freshers throughout the restaurant...though they didn't. Towards the end of our meal, the assistant manager Sarah decided to talk to my dad about Rusty and about how my parents love the restaurant. My dad kept on boasting about how I am a Yelper and such..she was a nice lady to speak to us. Another thing, if you are looking to locate Casa Ole, its just off of Broadway Dr/518. Next door to Regions bank and on the other side of the Texas Pride car wash.. there's enough parking. Nothing WOW'ed me, it seemed like typical Tex-Mex food lacking the authenticity that I was hoping for. They didn't even have Spanish music playing all the time, it was mostly a mixture of Spanish and some pop, but not Spanish pop. read more

Where do I start on my horrible experience? My fajitas appeared to be reheated frozen food as the fajitas were still cold in the center. Chips were stale, salsa was way watery, rice was crunchy, beans was very THICK like they just reheated canned refried beans. Plus to top if all off, the server acted like he did not care and just introduced himself with, "What do you want to drink". No refills, dropped the food off, no checking up, and I had to chase him down for the bill. In all realities, should have just left as wasted 20 minutes waiting for the bill as this place really sucks and Taco Bell would have served better quality food for a much better price. read more

I have been going to Casa Ole in Pearland for years. One thing that has always been incredible and makes them better than every Mexican restaurant is their green sauce. They have changed their recipe now till it is no where as good as it used to be be. Your child would even enjoy it. It used not to be so spicy and gross. It is just horrible now. The only decent thing to say is the chips with salsa rojo and verde is not bad, chips seem fresh enough and sauces are on the mild side. One of the kids' order was the mini pizza off the children's menu that resembles Costco's frozen mini pizzas, and the fries were so tough that the little one couldn't eat them; I understand these aren't Mexican dishes just just a warning to those coming in with little ones who wanting this option. Above is an order of beef fajitas enchilada to go with double rice. It's literally a few pieces of questionable beef inside 2 undone tortillas - not really resembling anything appetizing. Zero pico de gallo as listed in the description, and obviously not double rice but honestly human error is not the problem here. Waitress was nice but seemed overwhelmed, the host could give zero care - just asked how many and walked away without a single word for follow up. Swung by for lunch on a Friday. It's quiet and they have happy hour! We got a daquiri and a Pina colada, and both were very sweet. I got the stuffed poblano and my better half got the wet burrito. The pepper was alright. Could have done with better chicken as this seemed like it came from frozen. The wet burrito was massive but was overly salty. Couldn't get enough of the chips and salsa though. Service is quick and friendly, and their prices are pretty reasonable. I rated mostly on the food quality but this could be a solid choice if you're looking for a lot of Mexican food in the area. read more

My wife and I just walked out!!! Our waiter was horrible. He did not greet us when he came to the table with chips and salsa nor did he tell us his name and all he said was "what do you drink?". He did not offer or ask if we would like queso/ appetizers. It seemed as if he was irritated that we were black. Decent Tex-Mex at really affordable prices. We went here with our in-laws for a quick Saturday lunch. We were surpirsed to see that there was a lot of seating available when arriving right at noon. We are from Sugar Land and have not had Casa Ole since the one in Stafford closed down several years ago. The green sauce was all that I remembered it was, I could eat a gallon of that stuff. The red sauce was a little disappointing, it tasted too much like tomato sauce and not enough peppers/onions/spices. My husband and I ordered combination plates, I think it was the Ambassador Plate. It comes with a cold plate and a hot plate. On the cold plate it had a chalupa, queso and guacamole. Everything was fresh! On the hot plate it came with cheese enchiladas, mexican rice, and refried beans. The enchiladas were ok, not how I remembered from years ago. The tortillas were a little firm for my liking, and the sauce they pour over was too tomato-y. The rice was a little over cooked, but the beans were good. The service here was really great, our waitress was friendly and helpful, returning several times to refill drinks. This casa ole use to be on of my favorite place to eat, but recently I had an experience that really ruined it for me, I had a rude waiter and ran into a problem I've never had in the last 10 years of going to casa ole, we had a large party of 8 and I asked to get a to go queso to eat at the table and then take home witch I usually always do, and I was refused the queso saying I wasn't aloud to eat it at the table because it was a to - go queso? If we're having a big order and I want a queso to go how are you going to refuse it to me because I want to take a couple bites at the table? Here we go. I ordered the Grilled chicken AND vegetable salad "a special blend of grilled zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, onions and bell peppers on top of mixed lettuce, sliced chicken breast, Pico and your choice of dressing" what I got was a box full of iceberg lettuce, 3 pieces of bell peppers 4 small chunks of raw carrots, and 4 small chunks of lightly steamed zucchini... Chicken was ok, and Pico. (See photos) My boyfriend ordered the Cobb salad. What he got was a bed full of ice burg lettuce some chunks of bacon (some raw) pieces of COLD flavorless over fried breading with a tiny sliver of chicken. Pictures attached. Ok, I will admit that I normally enjoy Casa Ole. However, the last THREE times I have ordered food to go, I have specifically asked for a bean & cheese burrito. I make sure to also mention no meat so "bean" doesn't get mixed up with "beef". All three times, there has been a beef burrito. We had a fantastic waitress, (Tyler) margaritas were beautiful and delicious, the beer is cold, all of our drinks came to the table quickly and the food was so yummy, we had the chicken stuffed pablono, which was delicious, perfectly cooked. I have been a super-loyal customer of Casa Ole for at least 25 years and I LOVE it! It's good, fast and cheap. My fav menu items are chicken fajita nachos or the Taco Salad Grande w/fajita chicken. My husband and I went to the Pearland location today for lunch and I'm sad to say, it was gross. The menu actually smelled bad. It had green sauce or something spilled in it that hadn't been wiped off. The whole menu was sticky and just grody, and smelled bad. So did the waitress who had horrible body odor. I love Casa Ole. I'm reviewing the Pearland location, because that's the most recent one I've been to. There used to be one in Lake Jackson, and I grew up there. Casa Ole was a regular place for my family. When I went back in December it was one of many places I took my fiance to, just to say "See? THIS is Tex-Mex." My aunt says it's bad Tex-Mex, but I think it's delicious. I've had so many things on the menu. I love the cheese enchiladas, the queso, the green sauce, the rice and beans, everything really.... Portions are huge, prices are cheap. The ticket for 6 of us was $50 and I had tons of leftovers. read more
