Great food. Great price. Had an issue with getting dirty napkins. But probably just someone trying not to waste them and not realizing it was dirty. Not that that's a GREAT excuse. But it was a good experience none the less. This is my choice Mexican place in NoVa. read more

We were in from Chicago visiting Cedar Point and saw the good reviews here on Yelp. You can believe them all. The place was a little busy, but still great service. Their margaritas were awesome. They definitely did not skimp on the tequila! Their salsa and chips were authentic, not out of a bag/jar. We had the quesa fandito for an appetizer-out of the world! I then had the steak and chicken fajitas. This was probably the weakest item I had, although was still very good. Atmosphere was authentic, and service was great. I definitely will be going here again if I'm back in town. read more

Sandusky, OH's best Mexican, and open a little later than most places in the area. The food is really homey and delicious. Vegetarian options are really good. Margaritas are tasty, too. The service is pretty good. Friendly people who take the time to listen. Will certainly be back. read more

Traveled from Texas to come to cedar point! Found this place on Yelp. Said to be the best Mexican food around. Ordered a two hard taco plate with beans and rice, asked our waitress of the "hard tacos" we're fried hard shell tacos (meaning not boxed). She brought my plate out within 5 minutes or ordering and the tacos were definitely boxed shells you'd get from Taco Bell. The beans and rice we're good and my boyfriend ordered the Ohio special which had, two enchiladas, a wet burrito.... Which he shared with me and it was all very good. So, overall, their food was pretty good. Employees just apparently aren't very knowledgable on proper Mexican food. read more

Most Mexican restaurants have a cookie cutter menu. Thankfully Casa Real has a few variations. But they still have all the standards you expect. We had the Wet Burrito and the Vegetable Fajita. Both were appealing and tasty. The decor was colorful but the space is small - don't expect much privacy. If we are in the mood for Mexican food I would go back. This place had really great food! Was pleasantly surprised and it was right next to our hotel. We took a chance on this place and I'm glad we did. Went there with my wife and 3 kids (13 to 6 years old) after a long day at Cedar point. We're pretty particular about food, and were absolutely thrilled. Excellent salsa and chips, the drinks weren't watered down, great taste and portions, and the staff were smiles and attentive. 2nd best mexican food in sandusky next to my Mothers. Don't fill up on chips in salsa, you'll regret it. I highly recommend the Molcajete. It comes out sizzling hot. I always seem to get this as its my favorite. The rice is something to be questioned though... Was not disappointed so glad our hotel was literally across the street from this gem! I honestly don't care about atmosphere unless it's not clean of course. This place was a little tack in its colorful booths and beer signs but that's to be expected in a lot of American Mexican restaurants and did not bother me. Now for the past that matters food and service. Both excellent! I had quesadilla fajitas, salsa and Guacamole were excellent too. Prices were great $10 fajitas, they had meals for 2 under $20. Some of the best mexican food around. Very authentic. As long as you come atleast an hour or two before cedar point closes it's a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Some of the servers were new so I won't fault them to much on a few hiccups, like a forgotten water or food given to wrong people at the tables. Easy switch. Very happy with this place. read more

One of the best Mexican places I've had. Staff was friendly enough. They seemed really focused on getting you in and out of there. Not to say that they're overly pushy, they just get things done fast. Your order is out within 10/15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's a fan of good Mexican food. read more

When I come to Sandusky every few months, I make it a point to come here. Had the lunch chicken fajita and it was very good-fresh vegetables, and a generous portion of chicken breast. Delicious! The prices are very reasonable and the waiter was attentive in service. read more

My fiance proposed to me at Casa Real... we eat there regularly and the food is awesome. We especially like the fajitas and the Mexican Pizza is great too. We always split a half pitcher of frozen Margarita, which deffinitely are made strong. It will take us years to eat the entire menu, because we already have too many favorites. After a day at Put-In-Bay we arrived here around 8pm. We asked to be seated outside but it was closed. Service, at first, was speedy. The waitress got our drink and food orders very quickly. After that, we never saw her for the rest of the meal, until it was time for the check. This was understandable since she was waiting all the tables in the restaurant, but a water refill would've been nice. The chips weren't stale and the salsa was the best part of the meal. The enchiladas and chicken chimichangas we had were filling but bland. This restaurant is standard for most cheap Mexican restaurants, nothing special. read more

After a long day at Cedar Point watching the masses of people waste their money on expensive garbage. We decided to drive 10 minutes across the causeway to eat off park property and get something delicious and priced right. I must thank all of the people who gave honest reviews of this place giving me enough confidence to make a visit. When I came to Casa Real for my first time, I didn't like Mexican food. Now, I can't get enough of it. Their service is probably the best service I've ever gotten at a restaurant.
