Cheese crisp! And my brother Eli and dad Fred!

The service here was amazing. Flavors are very good and the serving sizes are huge! It truly feels like you're enjoying a sitdown meal at a homemade restaurant, something that appears to be someone's house. It felt very cozy and comforting. Like you were eating a meal at a friend's house or a long lost relative. When it comes to the options of food, there is something for everyone. I really enjoyed the specialty platters that give you an option of enchilada, burrito, taco, or even Chile Rillenos. As of lately, there are a lot of people on the Internet, saying that this is the most authentic food in Tempe Arizona! As far as authenticity goes, the flavor is definitely there. I highly recommend stopping by and trying it for yourself! It's an awesome place to grab food with a friend or even family members. Be ready to eat! Or ask her to go back so you can enjoy the leftovers for later. The burritos are huge! Red chili and green chili both taste so good Located tucked away in the corner of southern and Mill, by the Fry grocery store. Their chips and salsa is complementary and it's also very good!

Combo #5. Red mixed burrito, beef taco and cheese enchilada. Solid!

Came here for a work lunch a few weeks back. Had a good meal! Service was great, place was cozy. For food, I went with a #5 which was an enchilada, a taco and a red mixed burrito. Their combos come with the entrees alone, and you can upgrade with rice and beans. I just went with the entrees. Food was tasty! Great beef taco, cheesy enchilada, and a pretty solid knife and fork burrito. Everyone else enjoyed their food, too. I would come back if I were in Tempe looking for a sit down Mexican food place.

My husband and I have been going to this fabulous restaurant for YEARS!! My husband introduced this restaurant to me in high school and said this was the best Mexican restaurant he's been to; his family has been going to this restaurant his entire life. The original one opened in Globe-Miami. I was skeptical at first because there are not many great restaurants with true Mexican food; my family is from New Mexico so I am completely biased and grew up eating my abuelas food. I am so glad that this restaurant did not disappoint! The staff is very welcoming and always greets everyone as well as treating everyone with respect. The quality of food has always been satisfactory and the restaurant itself gives off a true authentic atmosphere!! Our experiences are always pleasant and the service is very fast with fresh food. It is a family owned business and you can tell how much they love this restaurant! You should definitely have this restaurant on your list to go to!

Place felt authentic, decorated with colors. Service was great, server was nice and helpful. The Corn Cheese Crisp was amazing! First time trying it and it was crispy, cheeses, and the green chile was soft --- definitely recommend for appetizer. The salsa had a little kick to it, which was perfect. The chips were good and crispy. I got the Charro Completo and so happy that I got the enchilada style cos I'm a sauce person and the green chile with cheese on top were perfect, made all the parts of the meal come together.

First time eating here and everything food wise was soooooo delicious!!! The margaritas were amazing and the beer was served nice and chilled (great when the weathers getting warmer out). Friendly staff, nice comfortable atmosphere, and amazing tasting food. We will definitely come back when we visit the area again.

This place felt so homie, absolutely loved the taste and great portions for a good price! Customer service was great too, will definitely come back.

Went here as was craving real authentic Mexican food! This place did not disappoint. The salsa was AMAZING! It's spicy but then a hint of lime and cilantro to finish it off. The portion sizes are good for the cost! We had a great server who was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu! The ambiance was very nice and welcoming, can be intimate depending on your party size !

Ordered the combo 10 that comes with a beef taco , enchilada and rice and beans for 14.20$ ! I thought the enchilada would have meat but it was just cheese. I'd get the red chile beef burro next time with rice and beans! The rice and beans were good along with the beef taco! Service was smooth and if you have the chance maybe ask them what's on their "secret menu" I know someone whose hometown food is this restaurant and they love it. The inside is nicely decorated and cool on this hot summer day .

I definitely recommend this restaurant, I had the red chile enchilada with rice and beans. The rice and beans were very good specifically and I'm already craving them again. I would definitely dine here again, everyone was friendly and the portion sizes are fair for the price.

Favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Unique and great salsa. My favorite order is the the charocompleto enchiladas style and a cheese crisp.

Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.

I got the frozen margarita and it was a bit sweet, but nice for the summer evening. Our server wasn't super attentive, but was nice whenever they came around. They were the small plast condiments containers, but they charged almost $5 for the guacamole. I don't remember the extra cost for the sour cream, but it too was way too high for the tiny size. My disappointment seems to be this last year with the sushi just hasn't been the best or fresh tasting. The Las Vegas roll was always nice and warm but with an awesome cold center and fried to perfection and the sauce just right. Lately it's been the opposite.
