The only reason I can't give five stars is because of the parking lot and waiting area. To say the parking lot is small is an insult to small parking lots. I don't know how they could expand, but it's a terrible setup. However, when you get in an get a seat, the servers are always top notch and the food is fantastic. I usually get my order to go and I always get the Fajitas. I also usually ask for extra salsa and it's never a problem as I always tip extra as well. Today I asked and they wanted to charge me additional $ 1.70, I am not talking about asking for a mass amount but when they fill up the small container only half full then it seems like they are cutting corners. Also, if I dine in then I get unlimited supply with no questions asked. Anyway I went back and ask them if I could at least get the small container more then half full and the owner said no you have to pay 1.70 more if you want that. You can't do one thing one day and then do something else the next with out losing people, be up front about it and I recommend that they be more consistent or they are going to lose long time customers like me. read more

Been here twice now since we have family living in the area. Enjoyed both visits. The chips are fresh and crisp. husband thought hot sauce had too much cilantro-which he is not a fan of. (i don't "do" hot sauce) I've had nacho's and cheese enchiladas and enjoyed both. My husband liked everything he had-tamale, enchilada, soft taco. Service was good. This is a great authentic mex restaurant. It's a little bit of a drive from Ft Worth, but if you want to get out of the same ole same ole...it's a great place. They have won numerous awards including "Best Hot Sauce" and I thought it was great. The beef fajitas were fantastic and the Tortilla Soup was a mean in itself. I could have just had chips, hot sauce and soup and been beyond full. They are closed on Sundays and when we went, there was about a 45 minute wait. They do call ahead seating so call before you leave your house. If you forget, when you get there, there is a tablet at the hostess station and you just put your own name on the list. at least you know your name gets spelled right! I'm taking off 1 star for the long wait...but the service is fast once you get inside. read more

I wish I knew the guys who where taking care of our table (50 guests for a surprise party) but it was almost unheard of how well attended our party was... The food here is bland. The salsa is not spicy nor flavorful. It does not have a kick whatsoever. You can get more flavor from a grocery store brand. My sister and I got chicken fajitas. You get a lot of chicken with a lot of what you think are spices on the chicken. The chicken was unfortunately bland. You get more spicy chicken from a store bought chicken in a bag. The crunchy tacos did have a good flavor though. The ground beef tasted good which is why the two stars and for quantity of food. I always see this place packed but after eating there I don't know why. If you like Tex-Mex food your grandma can eat and not take her stomach meds then this is your place. It was marginal at best, and I'm being generous. Most would use the fullness of the parking lot as an indication of popularity but don't fool yourself by that. Never go to this restaurant!! New to the area and decided to try out this restaurant after passing by. Looks great from the outside and always looks busy from the parking lot. They have a host outside taking names because of COVID. There are several signs saying that masks are required yet no one is wearing one. Never welcomed when seated just "what do you want to drink". No music playing. It was very cold feeling and dry. Chips were terrible and tasted like cheap store bought. Strawberry froze. Margarita had no alcohol in it and barely even tasted like strawberry. Wanted to leave before we even ordered but stayed to give the food a chance. Worst mistake. Fajitas were terrible and cheese quesadillas were barely even cooked. Well having a party of seven went quick and easy as soon as we arrived. Greeted by great staff and seated and ordered drinks and appetizers. Chips and salsa and appetizers along with our beers were awesome. Order came cooked great and to perfection. Most of the guests ordered different enchiladas. I got a beef chimichanga. Been a few times while staying in the area with some friends. Food is always good, I try to try different things on the menu instead of getting the same bing all the time. I have always had good food here. The salsa and chips are good. The drinks are nothing special but they are not bad or mixed weak or anything. The margaritas are ok but have had much better in other areas/places. The place is always packed, especially on the weekends, always call ahead and then the wait is not so bad. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in area. My wife loves this place and I have to admit it has never disappointed me in any way. The owner is ALWAYS here and walking the floor.The food is always hot never stale, drinks are made correctly never watered down. I've been watching as the customers go to leave the owner and bus boys go to each table and wipe it down and disinfect down to wiping the chairs. We travel a lot and use yelp to find good food and good service. We stopped here for supper. Waiter was really friendly and he knew the menu well. He recommended fajitas for two. Salsa and fresh chips and ice cold tea tasted really great. When fajitas arrived at the table it was a beautiful heaping hot mess of beef onions and peppers. We both dug in and bit into our first fajita at the same time. We both made eye contact and with our mouths full we said that's the best fajitas I've ever had. And they were. Came to this restaurant in Decatur because we had heard great things. Definitely lived up to the expectations of the supper club. The guacamole was excellent. My fellow diners had the carne asada, they raved about the quality of the beef. It is served pounded flat, but was juicy and cut with a fork. I had cheese enchilada, taco and rice and beans. This was our second time dining at Casa Torres after seeing doctors in Decatur. The first time was good, thus our decision to eat there today. We arrived around 3:00 pm for a late lunch/early dinner. We were seated promptly. The server arrived a short time later to take our drink order. No greeting, hello, or welcome offered. This should've been our clue as to his attitude. The chips and salsa arrived soon after. The server returned and took our order. Our food arrived a bit later and after practically throwing the plates down on the table..the server never once came back to our table to check on us....until time to leave the check. He even walked through the dining room several times waiting on the 2 other tables he had. He just ignored us. Although he didn't seem to have a problem chatting and laughing with the busboys when they came to clear tables. As for the food...we ordered the steak fajitas for two. The meat was a tough and greasy. The tortillas were like what I buy at the store. The rice and beans were ok...but cold. The guacamole was obviously not made fresh.
