    Enchilada Suizas
    Melissa M.

This was one of the worst meals we've had in a while. They have a relatively large menu and photos of every item, which they may want to rethink as my meal didn't even remotely look like the photo (lol). They serve you salsa and chips and a bean dip to start. The salsa was flavorless. We decided to start with some queso. That was also flavorless and literally only had cheese. The picture showed some jalapeños and spices. We were disappointed. My husband got the California chicken quesadilla and it was extremely greasy. His stomach started to hurt as soon as we left from all the excess grease. I got the enchiladas suizas. The plate was extremely hot while the food on the plate was nearly ice cold. There was barely any tomatillo sauce on top and zero cotija cheese as described in the menu; just shredded cheese. The rice was extremely bland, dry, and tasted old. We will never come back.

The food is so flavorful and portion is generous! Service is good! Spacious inside and awesome music! My family had a really beautiful night here. Will come back soon! Thanks for the Despacito!

Food is delicious, but what you get for takeout is somewhat of a toss up. See photo from menu vs. what I opened at home. We've ordered here a lot. Last time we got home and had something totally different from what we ordered. Service is bonkers.

    Pork meatball soup

First of all, the picture of the pork meatball soup in the menu is three times SMALLER than the lovely soup that comes out. It's your dinner. Everything is delicious. Don't know what the low star reviews are all about, my lady and I are having a great time. Huge margarita, crisp puerco Adonai, fantastic fajitas. Highly recommended.

Casa Vallarta gets 2 stars. The salsa alone would be one star. I was really disappointed that it did not taste fresh. The steak was definitely underwhelming. It lacked flavor. The soup was tasty but not enough to tip the rating. There are so many tacquerias and Mexican restaurants that provide a tastier experience. The presentation of food was good, but the mouse that passed by me was a deal breaker. I was out!!! Yes, we live in the city but they have to have better pest control. No bueño.

We hadn't been here in a while and was happy that the food was still excellent. I got a special shrimp dish where it was prepared two different ways. My husband got fish tacos and we got guacamole. Everything was excellent. We will definitely be back.

For the region, the Mexican food wasn't bad. I was hoping for a bit more authentic though. However, my margarita was strong and tasty and i really enjoyed the bean dip that came with the salsa

I made reservations to be seated out in the patio which was very cool as we were seating right by the window so we had a nice view and the patio had a nice cool vibe, casual but intimate, perfect for a summer night. Our server was Angelina, she was so sweet & pleasant. We both ordered a cocktail & both choice the minestrone soup as our appetizer ( it was DELICIOUS, served piping hot and a perfect starter)! I chose the Chef's Haddock , gf chose the Orecchiette pasta, both entrees were cooked perfectly, I ate all of mine, gf had to take most of hers home (which was fine with me so I could eat it the next day for lunch)! We truly enjoyed everything about Scopa and we will definitely be back soon & keep Scopa on our " Great Date Night Dinner List"!

The oysters were delicious, and the crab cake was probably my favorite of the starters. The meatball was interesting. It had pork and ground beef and was quite gamey, but it lacked the flavor I was expecting. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo. Unfortunately, the chicken cutlet was pretty bland, and overall, the dish was just okay. I've definitely had better Italian meals. There were a few highlights, but overall, Scopa just didn't leave the impression I was hoping for on my first visit. Maybe I didn't order the right dishes, but based on this experience, I wouldn't be rushing back.

We were in a completely empty restaurant but they still managed to sit a very loud party right next to us. Ordered a glass of Cabernet- fairly decent pour. Salad dressing delicious- not crazy about the dark green top leaves from the romaine- this is the part I throw out- but definitely edible. My husbands fish was fresh - small portion, mashed potatoes starchy, veg was good - small portion. I had the haddock francase- tiny portion of fish- the sauce was delicious but saturated the 'breading' kind of wrecking it (maybe put the sauce on the side?). Risotto awful. Bread was freshly baked- the crusty part was good-inside seemed a little undercooked. That was my husband's birthday dinner.... Opted to stop at the local grocery store for desert- best thing we ate all day!

(Typically consist of steamers, lobster, a baked potato and some corn on the cob if you're lucky). My husband found Turner's while doing a search for a place that would come close to giving me what I was looking for, and they delivered! We started off with the steamers. They're to die for... so tender, no sand in the bellies, and the broth? OOH the broth. It's delectable. It adds flavor that complements the clams perfectly (doesn't overwhelm them at all). My hard shell lobster was incredibly delicious. I'm usually a soft shell gal, but I will take whatever is offered - as long as the meat isn't tough, I'm fine to do the extra work. (It's part of the fun). The tail was split, which is helpful for people who don't know their way around a lobster- for me, I'd prefer it whole, so that's the only (extremely small!) thing I'd change next time. My baked potato and carrots were tasty and the waitress was attentive, kind, and she also had a sense of humor. My husband and I had an awesome evening, and we will be back!

It's your basic Italian seafood place. There is a singular type of clientele inside, which tells you how your experience will go. We got tuna "tacos" (more like crudo) as appetizers. The food was on the salty side, it's great to have this down the road instead of having to go down to north end. We ended the night with the flourless cake. Our server was very friendly! But the food was just ok. Drive a little farther and get some Mexico Lindo instead.

Dryft was an upscale experience from the usual stands and restaurants that historically been part of the Revere Beach dining experience since mid-century and further back. Our service was great, professional not overly friendly. I liked the atmosphere, casual but a bit upscale for Revere Beach. The food was delicious. I came in at about 8:45 when they close at 10, and I was told they could not seat me outside because the kitchen was closing. I said if I order oysters or something that doesn't require the grill, can I be seated outside? They said they would ask the kitchen. The host came back and said sure, that would be fine. Then brought me through the dining room to a table. I asked again if I could be seated outside because I am eating, she said no, even though there were about 8 or 9 tables available outside. So I asked to be seated at the table by the window closest to the ocean, which you couldn't see out of based on the reflections of the lights. I likely would have chosen another place if I knew it would be so difficult to get a table outside even when they are available. So I ordered a dozen oysters, half blondes from Blue Hill Bay Maine, half were from Little Pilgrim, Mass.; they were delicious and fresh. I looked them up afterwards and I'm not sure they gave me the right names, but they do look close and at least they had a relative idea of where they were from. I also ordered the shrimp ceviche with plantains, it was good with a decent amount of shrimp but I felt like there could be more, and the plantain chips took up the majority of the dish to make it look bigger. It's a great idea & taste, but could be executed much better. I tried their Dragon's Kiss for a drink which I liked. I forgot our servers name, she was nice but I did feel like she had wanted me to order more for a bigger tip. Tip: give great service and you don't have to upsell to get a bigger tip. Food is good, not great but I'd need to try them again to give a better opinion. Service is just okay, I didn't like the bait and switch of the tables, or that I just came for a few oysters and a couple drinks and it was $120. ambiance: 4/5 food: 4/5 drinks: 4/5 service: 2.5/5 Dryft: 2.6/5 *docked a point for the table situation. there was no reason why we couldn't have a table outside, especially when I told them I would order raw options to make it easier for the kitchen. there were other people outside.
