Why do you serve fajitas with a tiny amount of the stuff that goes with them cheese guac sour cream and OMG WHY SO CHEAP WITH THE TORTIAS. What a pleasant surprise. We are always looking for something on the way home from Red Sox games, and this place was excellent. They start you with delicious warm nacho chips and refried beans as well as plenty of salsa, and if you get low they bring more! The guacamole was delicious and the house margaritas were as well. We had seafood and spinach quesadillas and both were great. My husband said the seafood actually had real crab. To top it all off the service was top notch--very fun and friendly. We laughed when we got the check....so reasonable. And they do not charge for they chips, salsa, and beans! We will definitely be back! read more

What a sad, soggy mess. Ordered pick up -- came within 10 minutes to pick it up fresh. Arroz con Pollo did not come with beans as described; Texas "Chimichanga" was more like a burrito -- not fried or crunchy at all, served plain with no white queso sauce (which is what makes it a "Texas" Chimichanga). Food was already cold upon pickup. Huge amount of rice (clumped and stuck together) as filler, virtually no beans. $40! Taco Bell is more consistent. read more

I have been waiting for this place to open for a while. Considering I'm born and raised in Southern California I know good Mexican food. This place happens to be the closest to those back home. I was very impressed with the food and the service. First thing I tasted were the refried beans. If you screw up refried beans then I don't know what you're doing with your life or in this business. Warm homemade tortilla chips and salsa brought to the table. Very polite servers and they are all attentive to your needs, even if they are not assigned to your specific table. Can't say enough good things about this place!!! From the second we walked in on a Friday night the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The hostess greeted us and made pleasant conversation, our server came over quickly to take our order, we got a free appetizer on the house and our food was ready within 10 minutes. Not only was the service impressive, but the freshness and authenticity of the dinner was a pleasant surprise!!! Went the other night for the first time. Very clean inside and get decor on walls and tables. Salsa and chips with refined beans to start was very good. Great margaritas and tequila selection. Menu had a little bit of everything that you would expect at a Mexican restaurant. Rice that came with the meals was cooked very well. Kids meals were also good. Definitely save room for dessert. I have been here several times and each time the servers are friendly and attentive. They have many staff around but they are there to make sure to remove empty dishes which I really appreciate. I think the food is very good. Tastes fresh, plenty of food, lots of variety and they give you guac and sour cream with many dishes that other Mexican joints would charge for. The salsa isn't anything to write home about, but they serve a bean dip with the chips and salsa - which is really good. The food is also very reasonably priced. I am a fan and plan to make a fourth trip soon! read more

I agree with Amy from Lynn. My friends and I used to come here every other Saturday afternoon, but despite the food being good the atmosphere has changed drastically. The bartenders are not very friendly or welcoming. The old bartenders, one of whom I believe got transferred to the South Shore location, were the best. The food alone will not bring us back. If you sit in the dining room then you don't have this issue and can enjoy the food, but it's not for us. Too bad, the Casa Vallarta salad with Tilapia and mango dressing is AWESOME!!!! Note to management, get some bartenders with personality and your business will pick up. Bar should NOT be empty on a late Saturday afternoon. read more

Honestly must have had the worst service ever. The only reason this place gets two stars is because the food is good. We waited forever! Really I don't mind waiting but this was ridiculous. The worst is that the manager knew very well we were upset and ignored it. Didn't say anything to our waitress about it nor do anything himself to help. As you pull into the ample parking lot, you might think it's a ruse, it can't be spacious inside. You're wrong. Lots of tables and booths for families, large parties. You might think as they set down the chips and salsa that it's Mexican restaurant business as usual-NO! The chips are warm and fresh and crisp, and they dare you to complain about the delicious salsa by putting down a fresh serving of incredible bean dip, gratis, to help you peruse the thick illustrated menu. Here's where the trouble begins, when you realize that it's professionally presented and organized, tempting you on every page to think you found THE thing you want but there's always something else you really want on the same page, or the next! Fine, fine, you'll pick a thing or two, maybe something traditional maybe something Americanized it doesn't matter because they have it all. This incredible presentation MUST be hiding something! Then your food arrives and you're confused-where are the plates? These are PLATTERS! Everything you ordered is HUGE! You didn't ask for a bargain, but you got one. It's delicious, and your stomach won't want you to stop as it stretches to accept the fresh warm bounties you're ingesting even when it doesn't look like you'll be able to eat it all because there's so much. Finally, as you loosen your belt a notch or two and contemplate scraping the plate, you begin to dread the bill-you didn't think to look at the prices, the huge portions and quality of the ingredients must be at a premium, but again you're wrong! The costs are totally reasonable and in line AND the receipt has a favorite touch of mine, a handy little gratuity guide printed on there since your food coma will scramble your brain. Shuffling out of the restaurant, you swear never to eat that much again, well maybe next time you won't order so much, well hell you're already thinking about how soon you can come back and all the things you want to try. My boyfriend , his family and I come into the restaurant once every other week. I love the consistency of the food that is presented. I get the same thing (white enchiladas) while my bf changes every time to try everything and he hasn't been disappointed ! The quality is on point with freshness and always got coming out! The drinks are well prepared although I do seem to see a change each time in the taste which is probably due to the marg mix but still very tasty! Now the service. The first time we went in was when they first opened so I went in with an opened mind. I enjoyed the service and the food so we returned. The next time we came in we had Eli as our server and just sealed the deal. Eli is very personable as well as very professional. He is always smiling and having fun with his tables and making sure everyone is enjoying their time here. Very prompt with timing and is always a step ahead of us so we don't have to ask for extra water, napkins or boxes. When we do come in we always ask for Eli so with my recommendation, I would ask for Eli and have a great experience ! read more

We went to the Northboro location to celebrate my father's 60th birthday. This place has been hit or miss for us the last couple of times but I think this was the final miss for us. Service was slow but it was a busy Saturday so that could have played a part. Food, which was ok but nothing special, came out of the kitchen at a very uneven pace so we had people in our party waiting for 5-10 minutes for their meal after others had come out. Drinks, which were ordered before the food, arrived after the food was brought to the table and a piña colada was not brought out until the bill had been handed to us. The cherry on top, was my father finding a long hair mixed in with his food. We opted for not getting dessert and got out of there as soon as we were able. The waitress was nice but seemed overwhelmed by a larger party (5 adults, 2 kids) and had no idea what to do when issues started to present themselves. read more
