For a late lunch / early dinner, I stopped by Casa Vieja on a Sunday at 4pm. I ordered the Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, shrimp in a Mexican garlic sauce. The sauce was indeed quite garlicky. The place came with ample rice and refried beans, and half an avocado. The accompanying chips and salsa seemed decent enough, and the chips came out hot. The amount of shrimp seemed disappointing though, especially with the plating. The smaller 31/40 sized shrimp did not help making this dish feel overpriced. read more

Very friendly service. The music was a bit intense and relentless, more something I would expect in a club. The guacamole is a must order. The queso fundido is also very good. The mains were a little disappointing. The plates were like crazy hot. I found the chicken in the enchiladas to be dry, and I didn't feel like there was enough sauce. It was bland. Not from the area but first time time here. Came on a Friday night wasn't too busy. Got the fresh guacamole to start. Didn't know they were going to put jalapeños in it so it was a bit too spicy for me so I would suggest telling them the spice level ahead of time. But overall was pretty good. I got the birria tacos for my entree. The birria was a good texture however it did not have much flavor nor did the consume so I was a little disappointed. The cilantro rice was good. On the drink menu you'll see house margarita vs fresh margarita. House has a sour mix where as fresh is made with fresh juices. I guess the fresh lime margarita with the upgrade to don julio tequila and I enjoyed my drink. I think service could improve. I had to keep asking for more chips. They bring chips with salsa to start then when I ordered the guacamole we didn't have chips so we had to wait. I don't remember really being checked on. Then I had to find the waiter to get a to go box. Mind you, a lot of youngsters working there so work ethic not going to be the same. Would I got back, questionable maybe the drinks and guac. Worst service we have ever experienced, food was 1.5 hours late. Drinks took forever to come and were all wrong. One of us ordered a double and received two drinks full of ice. Our friend Eric picked this restaurant and will no longer be allowed to choose dinner locations for our team. Our vegetarian friend received the wrong beans and the vegetarian burrito was full of cheese and no vegetables. Food was bland, complained to management and they did not care. This place is great, has interesting dishes I had never even seen before (Tex-Mex?) in ginormous portions, chips are light and crispy, salsa fresh, great vegetarian options, and a good selection of beers. And the prices are very good. I lived in Los Angeles for several decades of my life and in the NE Mexican food (used to be) pretty bad. Other Mexican restaurants I've eaten at in the area / Nashua confirm that that is still the case. So this has become my go to in Nashua for Mexican or just eating out. Love the spray painted mural inside also. Not sure why it doesn't have five stars, except people complaining about service. This has not been my experience, so, five stars! read more

Food is consistently good. Nice mix of authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. Sizable drink menu and margaritas are excellent. I prefer the fresh made vs house margarita as the fresh doesn't use sour mix (personal presence as I don't like sour mix) Usually sit at the bar. We were here visiting Nashua as we come here every year for my fiancé's birthday and we don't know anything around here. I usually just take a look at the mall and pick. Thank the lord when I tell you I was Soooo happy when this is where we ended up. The place was very clean and the music just made me vibe as I looked at the menu and drank. It was very much a good moment but the best part was the food. We have gone to many mexican places, i am mexican myself and this food was so good I would recommend everyone going here. The ceviche was balanced in flavors all the way through. The drinks were tasty and my fiancée's octopus was so tender and flavorful. It wasn't chewy at all. This was the first time in many years i have been very happy and satisfied when it came to a meal from a restaurant. Being in a position to kill time in Nashua I had wanted to eat here for a while now. I found the menu to be quite reasonable price wise, and I was not let down. I was also pumped for the chimichanga! Arriving to the hostess desk I waited for a staff member, and I was seated. Opting to eat outside, it was a beautiful day. Of course the restaurant was delightful indoors. I ordered my meal and drink. I keep freezing when being asked what I would like for tequila. People recommend Patron, and I've come to realize that I don't like Patron. I like Espolòn, but can never remember it when I'm ordering! Who the hell cares, it was a margarita with Patron and I finished it. Oh the chimichanga was delicious, very filling meal. The service was prompt and the waitress was polite. The only downside are the panhandlers. One guy asked a table for a cigarette, then asked me if I had any money. I told him no, and I was greeted with a dirty look. Dude, I'm eating at a restaurant, can you *F-off?!?!?! Nashua has a fair share of panhandlers. If you opt to eat outside, there is a slight chance of having a similar experience unfortunately. Don't let that stop you. read more

I had a few sanitary/COVID concerns dining here. They still gave out hardcopy menus that definitely were not sanitized. Make sure to sanitize or wash your hands after touching the menus before you eat! Their prices are good and definitely affordable compared to some other restaurants on this street. I got the tacos and I do think they were a little unseasoned and dry. Their food comes out incredibly quickly..a little too quick. Overall the meal just fell flat on taste a little bit. The servers all seem super busy but in a disorganized way where no one really came by our table and we had to wait awhile just to be able to flag someone down for the check. read more

Came from RI for Fright Kingdom w/ my fiancée and looking for a nice lunch spot... there's honestly no Mexican place from home that compares! The complimentary chips and salsa were to die for on top of the Pulpo y Camarón (Octupus and Shrimp) being cooked to perfection with a salsa, rice, and semi-sweet cooked onions to compliment and enhanc the entire dish. The food was prepped and served timely with a server that was very accommodating to our asks and uncertainties. Music was a good mix of what you'd expect from any Mexican kitchen or restaurant w/ some television options so overall a good feel. Seating booth was also very comfortable. We found this restaurant by accident, when our regular seafood restaurant (across the street) was closed. That first visit with an out of town executive, exceeded all our expectations and we have come back multiple times. Each visit the food and service at Casa has been exemplary, even for an unannounced party of 9. We have explored the extensive menu, and found everything to be delicious. I have been here a handful of times- at least twice on my own, two times when at work, and yesterday. The other four experiences were great. Yesterday, awful. Went for lunch from work at the hospital with coworkers. We said we were at work. I ordered steak nachos, one coworker chicken fajitas, the other carne asada but no rice and beans. I have celiac and dairy allergy. The only meal that was right was the chicken fajitas, and my nachos came out only as CHICKEN and tortilla chips. It was so awful but we didn't have time to wait for our food to be fixed. Then I had to chase down THREE staff to get out checks, and after 15 mins our server got it. I've also been crazy sick since then, so I am guessing I got glútenes. I am hoping it was just a bad day because normally their food is good. Good food, but service horrible. Had a funeral service and we came here to eat. Spent 1 hour 15 min waiting for our food to come out. No one even came to attend to our table for 45 minutes while we sat and waited inside and even then we needed to get the waiters attention. Mind you we reserved ahead of time. I'm not generally a fan of Mexican food, but what I have found to eat here is very good. The biggest problem I have has been the service in the lounge area. On Sundays (when I'm usually here) I go with the pretense that my wife and I will be generally ignored. I go to the bar to get my beer and am usually left on my own for a night of karaoke (great karaoke dj BTW) The food is good and the staff is friendly, when you can flag someone down at the bar. I really want to like it here. (But it's not gonna happen) I've been there 7 or 8 times, giving me a decent sample size. The food is poor at best. The salsa does nothing for me and the chips suck. I've driven by this place on Main Street for a couple years but never stopped before as the wife & I have a favorite go-to Mexican place we just love (La Carreta). But we were downtown so decided to walk in and grab a seat at the bar. It wasn't overly busy but the bar tender "Big J" walked by us several times never making eye contact. And he wasn't making or delivering drinks either. I had to wave at him after nearly 10 minutes, prompting him to ask "you all set?" 99 out of 100 bar tenders would ask newly seated customers "can I get you something to drink?" So we ordered drinks, and that was the last time Big J came by. I had to ask the manager for menus, had to order dinner from the manager, get a 2nd round from the manager (he wasn't behind the bar), while Big J just walked slowly back and forth. He did become quite attentive when 2 of his friends came in, making them drinks right away and even sampling some himself. I looked up at the security cameras and wondered if they even worked because this was an episode of Bar Rescue in the making. The food wasn't bad, but the bar service was the absolute worst. Then split the steak quesadilla with my boyfriend which was delicious, got rice only no beans and the rice was tasty which usually Mexican places around New England have no taste to the rice. So my friends and I are very confused as to how there are 4 stars for this place? We really wanted to like it but it was way below our expectations! We came on a Wednesday night and we were the only ones there for a bit. AND We got horrible service! How does that happen when we are the ONLY customers?! We waited patiently but eventually had to go find a waiter to put our food order in. I was pleasantly surprised by my delicious house margarita though, that was the best thing! Also the chips and salsa were good, but wish the salsa was in a bowl for sharing. It was in one of those small silver things they would put ketchup in. The food was just meh. Rather bland in my opinion and not worth going back for. After having gone to most other nearby Mexican restaurants, I would say this is by far on the bottom of my list to go to. Such a shame, since its in a great location but it seems like they're not even trying to do well. Come for the drinks, go elsewhere for the food and service. read more

The new Mexican on Main Street, Nashua! The outside dining is great. The food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The chipotle burrito is amazing. I can't rave about it enough. To be clear your food is yummy. The portions are just right. Your service and staff need some improvements to make me a frequent customer. Language is a barrier. Most servers and bus people speak such little English that it's hard to order water. It's impossible to get your check. Last night the staff was so focused on closing and cleaning up w had to ask multiple times. Hire servers that speak English or tell patrons how to order to be understood. read more

I love this place. The hand made margaritas are large and delicious, and the food is delicious and delivered fast. Most important, the main staff are all cheerful and helpful. I can't compliment them enough. They make the dinner experience really enjoyable. Seating is ample and sitting in the sidewalk while sipping a giant margarita is relaxing. I've had the fish tacos, steak fajitas, and the Casa Vieja Steak. We've dined at the Nashua location under the previous two operators and the food was always professionally prepared and served. Tonight we ordered for take-out and it was a complete train wreck. Food was good, but they couldn't get the order straight to save themselves. Actually had to GO BACK to pick up the second half of the order that was PAID FOR but not included in the delivery. The slip said all items were accounted for, but nowhere to be found. How hard it this?! Called twice to make sure the items would be ready for a second pick up, which they were, but we should not have had to do that.
