What a beautiful spot in seaport to have Bostonian fare and listen to live music. The bowl of New England clam chowder was large and in charge of yummy goodness! The fresh lobster roll had giant pieces of lobster dripping with warm butter and sandwiched between a fluffy, flaky soft roll!!! The live music was loud but not annoyingly that you couldn't hold a conversation! The restaurant was decorated for Halloween and had really nice lighting and decor!! Something that I appreciated but didn't get to enjoy was the outdoor patio seating with fire pits & comfy seating!!! Looked like a great way to beat the chilly air but still bask in the fall autumnal surroundings!!! Our waiter was nice and very attentive. Loved that he was engaging and conversing about where we traveled from!!! Overall this was an awesome establishment that is a nice and inviting spot if you are looking for solid pub dining and live music in the area!!!

I made a reservation for Monday night dinner for 11 people to take out my team. The reservation was ready and we were able to sit down as soon as we got there. It's a typical bar restaurant setting. Service was really good and attentive. The food was really good. We got brussels sprouts, corn and crab hush puppies, and chips with street corn dip and all were delicious. I got the warm lobster roll at market price which wasn't bad at $39. It was a very good lobster roll and fries. It filled me up. I didn't drink, but the rest of my team did and they liked the variety selection of beers, mixmixed cocktails, and wine. The bill was around $600 total for the 11 of us which was expected with respect to the area and the quality food and drinks we got.

A group of 6 of us were trying to secure a dinner spot and luckily City Tap House had some availabilities! We had a 7 pm reservation and were promptly seated once we arrived. We were waiting for the rest of our party and our host got us started with some drinks while patiently waiting for everyone. I asked for a drink recommendation and ended up with the ginger cucumber margarhita and loved it! For food, we ordered Brussels sprouts, hummus, and elote corn for the table and I got the crab cake plate for myself. Restrooms were also clean! Overall had a very enjoyable time and would come back with a group.

Pizza was terrible and undercooked, fish and chips were greasey fries and a piece of fish the size of my palm. The waiter struggled to make eye contact and wore a dirty, stained, sweatshirt. Wouldn't come back here if I had a coupon. I gave it two stars because one of the two beers was cold.

The Guinness braised beef sandwich was great! We also enjoyed the Nashville Cauliflower and Burger. I liked the cozy atmosphere, clean restrooms and many beers on tap! Very close to the convention center.

Spur of the moment hunt for an espresso martini and lunch. Honestly not bad! Location is a bit removed from the business of Seaport, so probably doesn't get as much traffic as other restaurants in the area. As far as the espresso martini goes- If I was given it without having been told it was hazelnut infused, I wouldn't be able to tell. It just tastes like a regular espresso martini, but it's decent! A bit too sweet, not super strong. And at a fair price point for seaport. I've also never been to a place that offers it on the rocks vs straight up, interesting option. The Pork Nachos were a solid choice, not too big of a portion but enough for two. The chips didn't become soaked immediately, but our main critique was that toppings weren't distributed throughout, and that there wasn't a ton of pork. The feta topping was generous though, would get these again.

Yesterday was a most beautiful fall day to sit outside and have a late lunch at City Tap before a show. My husband ordered two local beers and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and enjoyed them both. I had honestly the best burger I've ever had. Requested medium, and it was cooked to juicy perfection. It doesn't come with a tomato, I had to ask. So delicious. We shared dessert and got the chocolate ganache tart with raspberry. Again, one of the best things I've ever had the pleasure of eating. So rich and chocolatey. Simon was our waiter and he was super nice and just the right amount of attentive. Everything about our meal was just fantastic.

So many really delicious places in Boston, this would not be on my list. We came for the weekend to check this place out before the game... the soda was a little flat, and the chicken wings were just okay. The highlight was pretzel sticks that you cannot go wrong with. It was clean, and the service was good when our server eventually came, but I would try somewhere else. Reminds me more of like an Outback (but I think Outback wings are better).

The taps. And Bruins and Sox on the tele.

City Tap is everything you need. Massive tap list and really good food. I had the curried chicken bowl which was fabulous. The taps are obscure local/regional brewed only found here. Place was packed when I was there during Bruin playoff hockey but got a seat at the bar and bartenders were rocking but attentive. Ambience feels like a cool upscale sportsy bar with a really nice upscale bar menu. Definitely a cool place to hang if you're a beer lover.

Came here on a Thursday night for dinner. It was pretty crowded but also around happy hour so it makes sense. We were able to be seated pretty quickly so it worked out okay. The food was delicious. The highlight of dinner was definitely the Nashville cauliflower. The pizza was also delicious. A total hit overall!!

The space is big, wide, the ladies working the counter are super helpful and friendly, we tried their Amber Ale, it was great, so we ordered a couple of cold ones. On our bartender's suggestion, we ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza and it absolutely delivered. The crust was perfectly balanced -- crisp and firm on the outside while remaining soft and airy in the center, exactly how great pizza should be served. The sauce had excellent flavor, and the combination of pepperoni and hot honey created the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and heat without overpowering the pie itself. My wife sampled a flight of four locally available beers and really enjoyed the opportunity to try selections that are difficult to find outside the Boston area. I jokingly told her not to become too attached to them since we wouldn't be bringing them home with us. The atmosphere inside the Tap Room was lively, modern, and unmistakably Boston, with plenty of Samuel Adams history woven throughout the space without feeling overly commercialized. I ordered the Espresso Martini, which I learned the restaurant is famous for and after tasting it I understand while. I want to put the disclaimer that I am allergic to nuts, so I didn't have it how the restaurant traditionally prepares it (using Amaretto) but it still tasted excellent. The Espresso Martini was perfectly balanced between bitter and sweet and the had the perfect amount of foam on top. For my meal I got the Shrimp pasta with Zucchini. The shrimp was tender and the noodles were cooked to a perfect al dente. The zucchini added a nice contrast to the rich tomato sauce and helped make the dish feel light even though it was a bowl of pasta. My only complaint that the restaurant is very dim especially upstairs. Some people at our table joked that they might need to use their phone flashlight to read the menu, so if you are someone who struggles to see in dimly lit places keep that in mind.

I ordered the Farfalle Tartufate (lobster pasta with truffle) and Bricco's brodetto (variety of seafood) as they were recommended online. However they fell below my expectations. The lobster was overcooked so it was on the rubbery size. The pasta was undercooked and hard. The pasta portion size was tiny like an appetizer for the cost of $34 for 5-6 pieces of pasta. The swordfish in the brodetto was pretty hard and I found some sand in my clams. The salmon was also very expensive for the small portion size. For appetizers I did like how they wrapped the lemon in a net so the seeds wouldn't fall out. The mashed potatoes were also nice and creamy. The zucchini flowers were good but pretty expensive for just 2.
