The sandwich was just the right size with fresh ingredients and came with a sode of simply prepared "syroan" rice (olive oil, carrots, and zaatar) Tasty! One of my favorite places to eat at in the Erie area. The food is delicious. I love the Garlic sauce! The meat is always cooked to perfection and the rice and hummus are well seasoned. The presentation of the food is always handled artfully and with pride. The tea is very good as well. In a addition to that, the proprietor is very sweet and motherly. Ordered through Ubereats. Took over an hour to get the order. Finally got food and it was inedible. I specifically asked for all dressings and sauces on the side. We were sitting outside. There was such a nice breeze and good shade. Food was awesome I had the triple shish kebabs, and my date had the couscous. Their garlic sauce or dip not sure what you call. It was awesome definitely going back again. We're from Rochester and were in town for the weekend. Found the Casablanca Grill on Yelp and it sounded great. My wife's a vegetarian, so we were impressed with the veg offering, so we stopped in. Glad we decided to try this little gem out! Great cozy setting with maybe eight tables, and a family run atmosphere. The cook came out first, and asked us if we'd been here before, we hadn't, so she explained the menu and returned to the kitchen. The waiter came over and answered a few questions (he was really knowledgeable) and took our order. He checked in with us throughout the meal, but didn't pester us. The meal was super, and we had a great time. If you like Mediterranean food, come here. If you're curious about Mediterranean food, come here. If you know nothing about Mediterranean food, come here. Tried Casablanca as a lunch carry out and wanted to love it but was unimpressed. My partner had the Shish Tawook sandwich which was small but tasty but my Shawarma sandwich was just meh. This place only serves bottled water at 3 to 4 dollars a pop. If you ask for tapwater, they tell you they don't have any. Huh? I'm sorry found it impossible to get past this issue, so we have eaten here only once. And it was not good enough to look the other way on the water bill. read more

Casablanca Grill is a small restaurant that doesn't look like much from outside, but the service and the food make you feel like home. We shared three dishes amongst 4 people and it was plenty of food. We really enjoyed the Moroccan Couscous, it was light but still full of flavor. Their Baba Ghanoush was especially tasty with a good amount of smoky flavor to the eggplant. If you are looking for an authentic Arab/Mediterranean meal, you will love this restaurant. Casablanca is incredible and I was so happy to have discovered this place thanks to Yelp. I came here for lunch with a friend and we split an order of dolma, I got the Syrian Coffee (with Cardoman seed, score!) and then I had a chicken shawarma. The lunch portion on the back was served with delicious yellow rice and a little bit of salad. Everything tasted so fresh and spiced so well. The ambiance of this place is akin to walking into a friend's home who lives in the middle east. Cultural, ambient and flavorful. Service was great; the women who waited on us was most definitely the owner and was wonderful and personable. My wife and I were on a road trip coming into town just half an hour before they closed and we were treated to an ensemble of delicious Mediterranean food that tasted home cooked and was made with skill and love. The frikeh with ground beef was amazing! Another favorite was the baba ganoush, great smokey eggplant flavor. The falafels were also excellent. I would definitely recommend trying the mint and lemon blended drink they have. SUPER fresh and you can taste bits of the mint and lemon. So we are a big family of 6 went in there on a Saturday excited to try Moroccan food for the first times . The woman owner was there working all by herself and she greeted us with a dry face. Look I get it running a resturant is not easy and we all go through things but I believe once you pick up the mantle to serve then you need to do it with kindness. On top of being dry the entire time her prices are too high for the portion sizes. Every time I come back to Erie, I make a point to visit Casablanca Grill. The food is as good if not better than anything I have tasted in places like New York or San Francisco. The owner is incredibly friendly and always takes his time to talk you through the menu. One time, he even came and chatted with our table on a slow day at the restaurant. Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon, on our way to Niagara Falls. Only 10 minutes from highway, perfect detour for great food! We can't stand stopping at chains, so this was perfect distance to justify from Rt. 90. We had the lamb kabob and hummus appetizer. Salad dressing on Caasablanca salad was amazing. We eat traditional Lebanese food and are tough on authentic restaurants and this was perfectly cooked food and taste! The owner stopped out and chatted with us for quite some time about the spices, her food, her story, and life in general. We were very inquisitive as we found her very interesting.
