For my windshield replacement, I decided to go to their shop to have the work done, Located somewhere inside an industrial type area is the roll up door to Cascade Auto Glass. Not too hard to find, but don't try to get here without GPS. The space is clean with a large single driveway/bay to fix the glass. There are a couple of non-permanent feeling offices at the back, with people making lots of calls. There's even a waiting room of sorts, all clean, pleasant and providing the basics (bottled water, coffee, tea, etc). The windshield was out and the new one in in about 30 minutes. The tech knew what he was doing and wasn't wasting anyone's time. My work was paid for by insurance (minus deductible of course), so I have no questions about their pricing, I was never upsold anything while I was there. Oh, they have wifi as well, they make a point of it with a big note on the temporary partition between the lobby and the offices. A generally great experience from Cascade Auto Glass, but the whole space feels like something needs to pop. Maybe that front facing address? read more

The install went well (20min tops) and my vehicle looks brand new! *Go online or call for a quote and to also ensure Cascade services your area. The website states free mobile service, but I was charged $19.95. *Cascade doesn't advertise locations with a physical address. They operate out of Washington state (call center environment) however they do respond quickly and with courtesy, open 7 days a week. *When making an appointment for service, plan only the glass replacement for that day as they leave a large window when scheduling (anytime between 8a-5p local time). I found Cascade Auto Glass from a Groupon deal. Booking an appointment was very straightforward and easy. Oscar, the technician that came out to fix my glass called me 90 minutes before he expected to arrive, that was helpful! He was so nice. He then called me when he arrived and was very helpful in describing what work would be taking place. He then worked on my car, it took 45-minutes. Overall the experience was terrible. I call them, set up the appointment, find out I pay the entire repair and my insurance gets a free monthly income, btw screw tweakers, anyways..the tech shows up 2 days later... Your packers didn't put the right glass in, guy doesn't even vaccum my car out or tape my window up. Lazy as hell, you're still on the clock do your damn job. So they reschedule me for the next day, and guy shows up...still the wrong window, now the guy vaccums my car and tapes the opening up And then reschedules me again. We're now a week into a repair of what should've taken a day, and i'm out of 3 days of work because of the rain. So to make it worse, they tell me yeah we're gonna knock you down 75-100 bucks. However, in the Groupon, they stated that I would get two $25 gift cards to a restaurant with the Groupon purchase. I have called twice to inquire about The gift cards. Yet, no gift cards. I found Cascade Auto Glass through the Amazon voucher for $100 off. It was going to expire in a few hours, so I quickly purchased it for about $20, meaning I will save about $80. I did not think to research the company nor call them for a quote on the price of a windshield replacement for my 2007 Pontiac coupe. Two days before the expiration date, I finally called them up to schedule an appointment. The guy who took my order was not exactly rude, but he wasn't courteous either. I was surprised when the total price was $350, $250 after the voucher. In the past year, I've gotten windshield quotes for $250. I figured maybe Auto Glass is high quality. I was pretty pleased that the man booked me for an appointment in two days, but my appointment was between the hours of 8 am - 12 noon. Later in the evening, a lady called to tell me that I will be rescheduled to between 12 noon - 1 pm because my windshield glass was out of stock. I met two technicians in front of my place, but their van had another name on it. So Cascade Auto Glass is a broker. The two Vietnamese men did their work efficiently - I waited no more than 20 minutes. I paid by credit card and handed them my voucher. What my voucher also included was two free movie tickets, but no instructions on how I am to receive them. The lady I called said that the tickets would be mailed to me. I asked her to change my address to my mom's address, as I live in an in-law unit. A few weeks later my landlord handed me the envelope containing the tickets. I liked that Cascade was quick to book and was communicative about change of appointments, but I didn't like the high cost. Another thing I noticed was that while I was cleaning my windshield with the wiper, the wiper was not able to properly clean a section of the glass, as it balanced on an apex on the glass near the top. I thought windshields were supposed to be relatively flat? Why is there a visible curve across the top of my windshield? I now wonder if this is the right glass and if those guys even put my windshield on right. I'm not an auto glass expert, but I would definitely not use these guys again. read more

I just called Cascade to get a price quote for replacing my windshield. The guy that answered the phone was EXTREMELY rude! I asked if I could get a price quote, his response was are you going to use your insurance. I told him no that I wanted to pay cash. Again he said we can use your insurance how much is your deductible its a no fault claim. I responded with its none of your business what my deductible is I want to pay cash. He then told me the quote was $309! that is OVER double the other two quotes I had received. I told him that and he said you get what you pay for. I said I understand that but twice as much as two other quotes including from the dealership, seems a little outrageous to me! I called the 1-800 number listed on the internet routed through Washington. First, on my car I had a cracked windshield. Found the Dealsaver thing on the internet, verified that was legit, called in my claim, and called in the service - easy peazy - they showed up on time, fixed, done. Billed Gieco. YAY. That was Wednesday 3/19/2014. Sigh of relief.... as I pulled my truck up after work to see my car all fixed I had a big smile on my face.... THEN- fast forward to 3/20, I come home, business as usual driving my car, the truck is instead parked on the street and this time the back window is broken! What the heck is going on?!? ! Oh look? All of the neighbors lawns are freshly mowed and edged. Turns out that the neighbors gardner has just left the area, and I just happen to now have a random broken window. But, I digress, two insurance glass claims later and back to Cascade, on Friday I call them and they are really nice, help me get scheduled for Monday take the insurance info and wave the deductible for me. Which Safelite can stick it as I called them first because Gieco forwarded their number- they wouldn't even help me with my insurance and told me to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement. I purchased the $100 coupon for $19 toward windshield replacement for my daughter's Honda. First replacement, windshield leaked and I called to demand a 2nd replacement. Second replacement also leaked and we were told it must be the sunroof drainage tubes causing the leaks. Honda dealership inspected and confirmed the windshield wasn't properly installed/sealed... called Safelite to completely replace shoddy job, and discovered 4 unsealed sections where windshield was not adhered to seal! Fine. Then rescheduled it for the afternoon two days later. I called that afternoon with a question only to find out I didn't have an appointment that day. The rep gave me some BS about my part being transferred. I called at 1, my appointment window was to begin at 1230. She said they just didn't have time to call me yet?! Frustrating. She then attempted to reschedule for a week later which didn't work for me. Even though I purchased the Groupon, I decided to forego it and use a different company to replace my windshield. The Groupon Deal seemed great, and the istallation seemed good. The technician seemed to be on top of his game. Then a week later, I decided to drive my vehicle. When I got in, the antennae for the alarm/remote start was hanging off the windshield. Then, the washer fluid would not work. Not a big deal, but I am going on vacation next week. I called Cascade to fix their issues, and "the technician is on vacation" is all the customer service I could get. No one in San Diego County can help me becuase this guy "went to Mexico and didn't even take his cell phone with him". I have no idea if this windshield will remain in place. If he cannot connect a little reciever, or reinstall a washer fluid tube, how do I trust that the windshield will remain in position. I bet the rear view mirror falls off in a couple days too.
