My daughter and I needed a place to make our journals for the year. She has been in Roseburg for almost a year and loves this coffee shop, so we came here. It's a very chill and relaxed vibe - there are 6 inside sitting areas. Lots to choose from drink-wise. I ordered from their special holiday menu: caramel swirl chai. I got it iced and it was delicious. Sweeter than I normally get coffee, but it was a nice indulgence. We hung out for about an hour and several people came in to sit and some took their drinks to go. Surprise! Cozy coffee and tea place that I found during my current road trip. Spent some time here in the morning with iced green tea and a generous sized bacon breakfast burrito. Seating indoors was enough with different sizes and I sat next to the window. Power for charging was available (thank you). Super nice people staffing the store today. Some merch available but I was thrilled with the two baskets of "blind date with a book". Nice job with the wrapping and goodies. Bough two to give my sister which they loved. read more

I occasionally stay in Roseburg overnight on trips and this is my second time going here for coffee in the morning. The first time, last year, they didn't open until 6:07. Posted hours are 6am open time. I could see the Barista inside getting ready but she was late. I remember the Latte was just average. Yesterday I went there at 6:15 to be sure they had enough time to open and they were. Muffins are good but my latte is bland. Has no coffee flavor at all. Like drinking dirty hot water. Sorry to say I'll have to find another coffee shop. The problem with Roseburg coffee shops is many don't open until later, like 7 am or 10 am. Sad read more

Walked in and first noticed that there are no prices anywhere on their menu. Then while trying to decide if this was the place we hoped it would be for a good cup o Joe we got side eye and heavy sigh from the staff. Finally I was like, "well, since you have no prices how mush for a double shot of espresso?" They didn't know, had to ring it in to know the price. Being from Seattle the home of Starbucks we were utterly shocked. No one in the Seattle area gets close to this places ridiculous price for a double shot. $3.60. Are you kidding me?? Ordered a bagel, toasted with butter. Received "vegan buttery spread" (aka - gross margarine). If you don't have butter, for the love, just tell me you don't have butter so I can shift gears to cream cheese. Margarine is never a good substitute for people who are expecting butter. Also, the mocha I ordered tasted like burned coffee and nothing like chocolate. I question whether or not there was any chocolate syrup in my drink. Sorry Cascade, big F. I won't be coming back here. Friendly barista and the coffee was good! The place is clean and decor was tasteful. It would be nice to have the option of a regular cup and plate if you aren't doing "to go." The cooler makes a fairly loud continual hum, makes it difficult to visit and also kind of ruins the atmosphere. Outside seating would be nice, as it is a fairly quiet little corner. Great coffee. Good food. Nice environment. I often go to sit & study; it's more motivating than being at home. The staff are nice and the establishment has had seasonal menus all of the times I've gone. Most recently, they've had a winter- & then Valentine's-themed menu. I'm a bit typical in how I like my coffee (blended, like a milkshake) and this place does it right -- as well as cheaper, compared to some *other* coffee establishments... I've enjoyed all of the flavors I've ordered so far, even when stepping a bit outside my personal palate with a strawberry drink. I think it'd be hard to be disappointed with Cascades' flavoring. Their food menu is pleasant as well. They have a selection of some savory dishes which can be heated up by request and eaten there or taken to-go, but they also have a pretty solid dessert menu, too. Recently, they partnered with another local place to offer gluten-free cupcakes, and they are surprisingly palatable! As previously stated, Cascades Coffeehouse is rare to disappoint. It has a slightly varied choice in seating (large, small & medium-sized tables; standard chairs, one booth & two larger arm chairs) and is on the smaller side -- so it gets a little busy during the lunch/brunch hour. Found my new favorite coffee when in Oregon and will make sure to always visit when in Oregon. The coffee tasted amazing! Ordered a variety of drinks for my family and everyone agreed. They had plenty of food options also: bagels, pastries, sandwiches and burritos which they offered to warm up for me. I highly recommend the bacon burrito, wow! Ok we were dubious about 5 reviews all 5 stars but we were wrong. This place has it going on. Friendly staff, compostable cutlery and cups and great tasting coffee. It is also right off The interstate which was helpful for us passing through. We don't normally drive this way but if we do again we will definitely stop in. Of the few times we have frequented this business I have been very satisfied with the service and coffee. The employees seem friendly and eager to help you. Everything seemed fresh and was delicious. They have a nice selection of items for sale. The place was neat and clean. The only problem is location and parking is a little tight. read more

Very, very good latte and inexpensive by California standards - $2.85. The manager is a sweetheart. The chairs are comfortable and the seating area and restroom are spotlessly clean. My small obedient dog was welcome inside but there is patio seating. read more
