We were driving from Ashland to Portland at we stumbled across the Creekside Gas and Grill. What a hidden gem! It's a bit off I-5 but worth the little detour. The interior is like a western diner with cowhide booths in an Americana style. Both the restaurant and the restroom were impeccably clean! The staff couldn't be friendlier and the service is outstanding. I had a French dip sandwich. It was delicious! Tons of tender roast beef on a fresh roll with wonderful au-jus. The french fries were piping hot. My husband had a deli sandwich which he said was delicious. And his onion rings were top-notch. Finally, the prices were ever so reasonable! If you're looking for friendly service and delicious food at reasonable prices give this place a try! You won't be disappointed. read more

We live in Weiser, Idaho, and this place is a must stop any time we are near the Rosebrg/Suterlin area. The people are terrific, and provide very good service. The place is homey and comfortable to visit. It's likely you'll end up in a conversation with other customers that you don't even know. I wish there was a place in Idaho like this. A "Kenny" is probably the best breakfast you can get, and the only thing similar is in Baker City, Oregon. We truly enjoy Creekside. read more

It was a cool summer day so the six of us chose a table on the front porch patio. We ordered burgers, fries, and similar items. Our family has eaten here several times and the food is always excellent. The milk shakes won rave reviews from those who ordered them. The service is always fast and friendly. The inside is cool and comfortable for those days when it is too hot to sit outside (we are summer visitors to the area). We will keep coming back for more. read more

Creekside Gas & Grill doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that scare you. The food is really good!! We stopped at a chain and decided it wasn't worth it and looked on Yelp for something better. I found Creekside and wanted to give it a try. We were greeted and showed to a seat with cowhide on the sides and over the top. We had the * pancakes-which had a great flavor and the texture was so good! * Smothered Hash Browns-it had hash brown with bacon and sausage and sausage gravy over it. It may be the most perfect breakfast item in the world IMO. I had enough for 3 breakfasts. I definitely recommend Creekside Gas and Grill. Food was typical diner food. Decent prices and decent service. But when they allowed an obvious regular to carry a dog in and have it literally belly up to the table in the chair I almost lost my meal. Letting a service animal come in and stay on the floor is one thing having it sitting at the table is actually against health code. I am a dog owner and lover. But that is inappropriate. I have no doubt this will not make any difference to the activities of this establishment. But it may be important info for someone who is planning to eat here. read more

We just happened on this restaurant while traveling from Corvallis. OR to Redding, CA. I wish I lived closer. I would be a happy regular customer! Another great breakfast on a Saturday morning @ Creekside Gas & Grill !! Boy were they busy! With many big groups sitting at tables, we managed to get a comfy booth and order right away. We received our meals quickly, and they were fresh and delicious! Ron's veggie omelet had fresh spinach, zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and cheese. Potatoes were cooked to perfection. The food was great and the decor is great. The handmade art work for sale is magnificent.

This is one of our go to places for a great burger! We usually have the logger burger. The two patties and bacon are the perfect size and delicious. We were in Sutherlin for a track meet and we were looking for a place to grab lunch. The staff were very warm and inviting. I can't express how nice our server was. You could tell this was a local favorite spot, lots of regulars. They have The Best lemonades, I went with blueberry and my husband had strawberry. They had fresh fruit crushed in, so good! Fresh cut fries were great, not oily. We also had a chocolate peanut butter egg dessert that far surpassed a Reese's egg. They also hand make everything including their ranch dressing! The burger was delicious. Those who got the steak sandwich special had buyer's remorse when we saw the burger. The steak sandwich was not what I expected. It was an actual cut of steak and very tough, covered with cheese and mushrooms. I was expecting Philly steak cut meat. I didn't like mine, but the other person who ordered one said theirs was good and not tough like mine. The fries were great as well-- hot and crispy. Only other complaint is it took awhile to get silverware after food was delivered and had to ask for water refills after our cups sat empty awhile. Upon entering Creekside we received a friendly welcome & attentive service. We preceded to have one of the best breakfast that we've had in a very long time. My husband had the "Kenny" a yummy dish of hash browns topped with sausage patty's, eggs & covered in country gravy. I went for the chicken fried chicken but chicken fried steak is also available. Man was it good! Perfectly seasoned & smothered in their delicious country gravy. Besides the great food & service, the new owners are supporters of our military. They are in the process of redecorating in a USA theme & best of all they proudly honor veterans/active military with a bulletin board pinned with pre-payed $10 meal cards. Comfortable room, I sat with another old guy as there weren't a lot of empty tables and I hate to take up a 4-top by myself. As the star rating says, A-OK. Had lunch today, Tuesday at 1:45 PM. Lots of parking, even for RV's. The inside was very clean, including the bathroom. Had one of their burgers w/ double meat, cheese, bacon, bbq sauce (sorry forgot the name) and fries (a basket) - $10.25. A soda w/ all the refills you want was $2.00. The fries were very good and they gave you a nice portion with the burger. The burger was good... But... Not great or very good. But it was good (3 Stars). Each meat patty was 6 oz and was cooked medium well, not too juicy, and not a lot of flavors. The bacon was layered on each patty (two pieces, I checked because I couldn't see any) but adding the four pieces together, made 'about' one slice... Maybe 1 1/2; not very much and couldn't taste it on the burger, it was basically basic bacon, nothing special. The bun was excellent, not your normal cheap hamburger bun (specially made maybe?) and it was lightly toasted, which was great. Service was good, very friendly, prompt. But she didn't check after my meal was served to see if everything was okay. I got the check about mid-meal and even though they closed at 3 PM, all the chairs went up around me at 2:30. Yes. I was the last person. Would I go back? Yes. I would try something else, but I'd go back. Thank you for your time. read more

Fantastic breakfast! Wife had Mexican scramble and I had a taste Loved it! Hash browns were great too! I had Mikes Favorite. Half order of biscuits and gravy that were HUGE! The corndogs are amazing! The buffalo wings we had were very good too. You order at the counter and get seated. They bring your food. It's pretty good, too. They have several things on the menu that look really tasty! This is a cafe with a gas station and it's well worth eating at! Their corndogs are hand-dipped and they're very good.
