So this was not our fist choice, but it was a pleasant surprise. We were in town for an event and unsuccessfully tried to get into two other locations only to be turned away because we didn't have reservations. We stumbled onto this place and were fortunate to snag a table. Our server seemed a little frazzled at how busy it was (she forgot part of our order and took quite a while in replenishing beverages), but the food was pretty good. I had the chicken tortellini and my husband had the St. Paddy's day special - corned beef and cabbage. This seemed like a great place. If we visit the area again and are in the mood for pub fare, we would likely come back. One nice touch was that a staff member chased us out the door to thank us for coming in. We just celebrated a special event at this eclectic and delicious eatery. One of many visits and we have never been disappointed. As always, the staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. My wife and I went to Cascadia Grill for the first time for our New Years Eve dinner before heading to a party. All I can say is that our experience was phenomenal! The staff was super friendly and took real good care of us. I would even go as far and say that they made our date even more memorable. The food was extremely delicious. We shared the artichoke dip and then I had the sirloin bacon skewers while my wife went for the mussel pasta. Both dishes were super delicious! The food and service were great. The ambiance and seating were fine. The food, excellent; tuna seared to perfection, fresh and delicious, poutine was absolutely spot one with delicious and salty gravy as the perfect compliment. My big bug-a-boo with this place was when I had to use the bathroom. The men's room, was filled with photos of dicks and Richards and I assume the women's was filled with photos of Janes (however I did not check to confirm). What disturbed me most was having a picture of Andy dick watching over me as I peed, it was just uncomfortable and poorly positioned photo that I couldn't shake (don't worry, I still shook twice) and ruined the latter half of my evening. I had made a reservation for 7 at another restaurant on the wrong day! We didn't know what to do until we walked by the Cascadia Grill. We met the new owners Jef Dukes and Julie Guarino. They were busy but seated us right away. Jef spent time to explain the restaurant and food. The staff was awesome, fast and served us right away. The food was awesome, delicious, unique and we were all very happy. I'm not leaving town without trying another item off the menu to go. I sure wish they were in our town. Very neat restaurant paying homage to the hypothetical "country" of the great Pacific Northwest, Cascadia. The walls are adorned with artifacts from the PNW, and famous people from the area. The food was very good. The wedge salad had a perfect mix of tomatoes, bacon, and blue cheese. I also had the pork chops, which were tasty, but I was a little shocked to see green Bell pepper with them. It was good, just a shocker. This may be a five star. I'm surely going back. I've been here more than once. It was always pretty good. Tonight they just dropped the ball and there are no excuses. I got a burger and the pork with au jus. It was a "to-go" order and I literally took it 2 blocks to share with another family member. They are at 200 4th Ave East and I took it to the 400 block of Capitol Way North. Google says that's a third of a mile. A third of a mile and I discover cold au jus dipping sauce for the pork sandwich. COLD! not even luke warm...really? Plus there was not even enough dip for the first half of the sandwich. (Yes, I warmed it up myself. Thanks!) The burger came with limp and somewhat greasy and cold to the touch french fries. Wow! It gets better...The pork was dry and we discovered the burger to be quite pink in the middle. Get a new cook! Consistency is probably the most important thing for a food place to have. Without it you lose customers. The cook(s) who did this should be ashamed and really needs to get their act together. Not another dime from this Olympian ! read more

This was our first time visiting over the weekend since the new owner revamped the menu. We went on a Saturday evening. They appeared busy but we were promptly seated. The new menu is quite tasty but some items do seem overpriced given the quality and casual atmosphere. The blackened chicken tortellini was slightly oily. The ribs were sweet but bland. They were incredibly tender and did fall off the bone, though. My friend was slightly disappointed in the steak sandwich -- the texture wasn't quite like steak meat and resembled more of a burger which she would have preferred to order if she had known this. Fries were extra crispy and salads were fresh. They offer a fair selection of beer and wine. I do miss the rosemary portobello burger -- unfortunately the new owner didn't carry this over to the new menu. Service was impeccable -- our waitress was very attentive. The owner seemed gregarious and very involved with the customers. Unfortunately their shake machine was broken much to the dismay of my boyfriend. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. It's a nice place to meet up with friends and there is something on the menu for everyone. I'm sure we will visit again however I didn't find anything "crave-able" about the new menu so this would not be my first choice when eating out in Olympia. read more

Our friends have been wanting us to try this place out. I now know why.... it was very uniquely amazing!!! The decor was so cool... the people were awesome and the food was to die for! I got the ahi and was not disappointed... and the smoked trout appetizer.. we shared a Great bottle of wine. And was not disappointed in any one thing! This place is a hotspot! It was packed! The owner was super nice and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. They had live music. And even when we left the owner ran out to catch us and say thank you. That touched my heart. When does that happen!?!?!? We will be back and take friends who haven't tried it out for sure! I can't wait to try something else from the amazing and full of options menu! I will have a hard time choosing again but with no worries cause I know whatever I choose will be off the charts! There is lots of gluten free and vegan options too.
