Born & raised in Manhattan, I was highly skeptical of moving up to Hudson Valley & exploring the pizzerias up here. But PRAISE BE TO SAINT ANTHONY, I found a gem when I walked into Cascarino's! I learned this family owned pizzeria has been at this location for 20 years now, and the proof of excellence is in the food. I sincerely believe Pope John Paul II blessed the Cascarino's sauce prior to his earthly departure, because il sugo è divino (the sauce is divine). Since discovering this gem almost 3 months ago, I can honestly say I eat here multiple times a week, and I try something different every time. My all time favorite is their gnocchi sorrentino; the basil is FRESH and you can TASTE it. Depending on the time of day, their wait times can be a little high, but that's because (I noticed) they get customers from ALL OVER the surrounding towns putting in orders. The food is definitely worth the wait, and if you can, try & stay for their dine in. The girls they have behind the counter & taking orders are on point, friendly, and beautiful (in my honest & professional opinion). Oh my oh my where to begin, The flavorless rice ball was probably the best part of the meal.I also ordered a sausage and green pepper calzone. When I got the calzone the sausage was indescribably disgusting and to my shocking surprise stuffed with ricotta cheese..... I ordered a calzone not a ravioli. Lastly I got one order of the zeppoles. Now I have never tried these before but I don't think they're supposed to be so hard someone could chip there tooth on it. I saw the name of this place and logo and immediately thought of the Cascarino's I used to hear people rave about when I lived in Queens. I was not impressed! ...had pizza and wings: crust had a not so great flavor and the pizza was mediocre at best. The wings were way overcooked and had very little buffalo flavor. read more

I tried the pizza a few more times recently and can honestly say that the pizza has improved dramatically. No more mountains! Yes folks two stars! I'm giving it two stars only because the bread was good. Yesterday my wife and I decided to try this place that was the same owners as the Cascarino's in Queens. All I can say is FORGETABOUTIT! They must have sold or something because we ordered a Chicken Parm hero and a Meatball hero and here it goes. The meatball I never expect to be great but I'm ok with it. Nice bread with 4 small meatballs cut in half. I tore off a third of the bread because there was no signs of anything inside. I expected a decent sandwich for $8-9 no parm. Then the Chicken is what inspired me to write this review. Two bites of the chicken I realized something horrific was happening in my sandwich. I opened the bread to discover cutlets perfectly shaped the same and forked them apart. What I discovered next was unfathomable . Yes folks processed chicken cutlets( patties shaped like cutlets) loaded with bread fillers. Are you kidding me? Passing this shit off on customers at a high $9 for chicken parm. $9 not bad if real deal but this shit is disgusting school lunch. Wanted a slice but 7:30 Tuesday obviously was too late for a slice that has not been sitting around for hours drying up so we passed and will continue to pass this place when we go shopping at ShopRite in the strip mall. Nice location...delicious food, great service and very friendly! We had the garlic knots...perfect. Calamari was a nice portion cooked to perfection! We had a large pie and boys enjoyed aa much as they could. Large! I had the lunch special which is the eggplant parmigiana served with pasta but I chose veggies, salad and a drink...$8.95! Last Saturday night at 9:40 pm (10/26/19) my husband and I had just had a long drive and checked into our hotel around the corner. We inquired if any restaurants where open for a fast bite. We entered Cascarino's Restaurant and where greeted with a very warm "hello and how can we help you." The gentleman behind the counter was very accommodating to my request for two different slices of pizza to be heated and "could I have metal utensils to cut the pizza,?" He motioned for us to please take a seat and he would bring our heated food out to us. I looked at my watch and realized it was a few minutes before closing. We where never rushed or made to feel like we where holding the employees up. But, most important the white pizza was AWESOME. As we where leaving to pay we had the pleasure of speaking with the gentleman who provided the warm late welcome to us..Anthony. It turns out he is the owner. If we ever come back to the area we would definitely make this adorable friendly and delicious restaurant our first stop. Great to meet friendly people. Barb and Bob read more

I have not been here for probably 2 years. It is a ways from home/Covid/not working nearby. Well, I am a fool! Worked in the area today and stopped by to get their roast beef sub, a ham and cheese sub, and their rice balls. Simple subs, but done right! Rolls very very good and there is a ton of meat. The horseradish sauce on the roast beef sub is not overpowering and adds such a nice flavor. Oh, and the roast beef is home made. You can tell, because it is so much better than the standard meat you get at other delis. Ham and cheese is just plain good. With the subs, I got their rice balls and sauce. DELICIOUS!!!! I try these every where I go and can say these are my absolute favorite. This restaurant is in the ShopRite center and looks like just a pizza place. WRONG!!!! Their food, whether subs, pizza, or full on entrees are consistently fantastic. Anthony, the owner, is still as nice and welcoming as ever. When it's good, it's good, but it's too unpredictable for us. After going a couple of times and liking it, I made the mistake of taking out of town guests. It was dinner time, and we were in the dining room. The four of us were served at vastly different times. When the waitress served the third person, she said, is there anything else? And I pointed out that the 4th person didn't have their dinner yet. She said they were busy. Their timing is terrible. At the very least, they should have apologized and brought a side salad on the house for the 4th person to have something in front of them. Yesterday we decided to give them another chance. We sat in the dining room, and ordered a stromboli and a calzone. We were the third table in the back, no one seated up front, it wasn't very busy. We thought we'd have a nice relaxing dinner, and some dessert for Valentine's Day. I wanted a stromboli without some of the toppings, as I'd had it before. They told me they were pre-made, up in the front case. They said they would make a family stromboli, but not a regular one (?). We're in the sit-down dining room, where there are made-to-order pizzas and calzones, but they wouldn't make a fresh stromboli. I went there specifically to have the stromboli, and if they don't want to make one, I have no reason to go back. read more

We were attended very fast and food come out in a reasonable time. We ordered the margherita pizza and it is some of the best pizza I've ever had. The sauce on the pizza was homemade and delicious, and we can tell it just came out of the oven! We also had calamari, and a salad. We couldn't finish it all, but we were happy to bring home food for the next day. Easy food for takeout, or a nice location to dine in. Overall, terrific food! read more

Stopped in for a quick slice and had the pepperoni. One of the best pepperoni slices I've ever had. Great crisp on the bottom, nice soft chewy crust and they use the high quality smaller pepperoni instead of the cheap large pepperoni slices and the seasoning was perfect. Had a retirement party for a coworker and Cascarino's provided the catering . Everything was perfect . The food was delicious and everyone at the party loved it and asked where it was from . We are out of towner's looking for a outdoor place to eat during COVID-19. This restaurant is in a shopping center and not really meant for outdoor eating but they definitely accommodated us. They put together 4 chairs for us when the few tables they had out were for 3 or 4 people. After we ordered, they asked if we'd like the food to be brought out to us. We then received great service from the staff. Everyone was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The food we ordered was excellent. The service was great. There was constant activity with customers coming in, curbside pickup, and deliveries. Looks like everyone enjoys their food. Great stop for dinner! read more

Wow! Amazing Italian food! Would have never guessed since it's in a strip mall and not a stand alone. I ordered the Italian hero and it was sooo amazing.
