Update: Feb2025- liquor license and food update. Had the vodka sauce special with prosciutto...any pasta type works and have had them all: ravioli, stuffed shells, manicotti! The wine selection is great and prices are great. They are still getting draft beer settled but they have a few options plus bottled beer. Adding pics of wine menu and the manicotti (I've already eaten some, sorry). But so delish. The bread is to die for and we can't stop raving about it! Our favorite pizza is to get 1/2 Crazy Chicken, 1/2 penne vodka...love that the pizza is so crispy. Last week we had 1/2 cheese and 1/2 meatball and it was amazing also. Can't go wrong here. Hidden gem alert, Amalfi Trattoria has not only got the basics down it has the nuances, in customer service, hospitality and quality Italian American food down to a tee!! Their pizza is one of the very best pies we have had anywhere; excellent crust, tomato sauce and oh my that cheese! Seldom do you get a pie where the tomato sauce has not been masked or at the very least, minimized by the cheese. Amalfi manages to give you a pizza that is a well balanced symphony of ingredients. My meatball sausage, fresh mushroom, green pepper with onion Cacciatore Parmagian was other worldly. Even the Field Greens Salad with Raspberry Walnut Vinegarette was a stand out, stand up take notice beginning to our meal. Phil, our server, could not have done better and his recommendation for wine was picture perfect. Finally got a chance to try this place out and we were not disappointed! It has a pizzeria vibe, not fancy. Ambiance is nice. Basic but nice, they have a bar as well. For starters we got mozzarella sticks and the garlic bread. The garlic bread was good but needed more garlic for sure! Mozzarella stick were very good! We ordered the chicken francese which was really good! It came with a small side of pasta, and a soup or salad. We also ordered the steak sandwich was one person in our party thought it was good, but I thought it was a little bland. We also ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. The flavor was good but there was not enough buffalo sauce on it. And the bread was very very thick so the bulk of the sandwich was mostly bread. For dessert we ordered the Italian cheesecake, it was good but a little dry. But tasted good nonetheless. We also ordered the chocolate layer cake which was good! Overall such a good experience, food and service were good. I'll definitely be back and I would like to try their pizza!! read more

Great restaurant. I have never eaten inside, but I have never had bad take out from there.

We owned ordered a pizza from here on our way to a friends house. So I cannot comment much about the interior although it looked nice. But the server who took our order was friendly and asked us to sit down while we waited for our pie. I explained that for some reason out call would not go through so he tried his cell phone and it worked, so did my wife's so for some reason my phone did not connect. The pizza came and we had a ten minute drive to get it home but it was still hot. It reminded me of the pizza I used to get when I lived in Brooklyn. It's a little out of the way for us but I would make the trip to go here since I have not tried many pizzas up here that were as tasty. I just wish the edge crust was a little bigger. Would definitely go back to this place!! Our waiter greeted us with a smile upon arrival, ambiance was great, nice background music, food was great!! Portions were large and not expensive. We got garlic bread, zucchini sticks, chicken Francese, pasta, salads, buffalo sandwich and a steak sandwich and we also saved room for dessert. Food was great!! Wow! Clean, bright, welcoming. Food was hot and fresh, good flavor. Friendly waitress. My husband got the Brooklyn sandwich - pastrami, swiss, mustard. Hot, on a big sub roll. Side of fresh fries. I got the stromboli. The small was a generous size, very fresh, and I took almost half of it home. Good variety on the menu, from a well-priced lunch special up to a special dinner. My group had high hopes based on previous reviews, however, our experience was not good. We started off with the minestrone soup and a Caesar salad. The soup literally had no flavor. The Caesar salad was OK. My friend ordered a calzone that was made wrong and had to be sent back. My husband ordered a seafood linguine type dish that came out more like a soup. I ordered the chicken Parm, which came with a runny sauce and overcooked chicken. We asked for to go boxes, and got a box that was actually already used. We had to ask for our drinks to be refilled a few times which was surprising considering there was no one else in the restaurant. That probably should've been our first clue that this was not a good place to eat. If you want good Italian food, this is definitely not the place to spend your money. read more

What a great little Italian restaurant. While small the food is fantastic and well made. I've had many of the dishes and they have all been good. Their pizza is Brooklyn style and cooked to perfection. If you want a. Crispy crust just ask for it, if you don't like it crispy then tell them and they will make that. I am so impressed with this restaurant. My veal parm was crispy outside and tender inside covered in a good Italian gravy and generous portion of mozzarella cheese. My husband's carbonara was also excellent with a great sauce and large perfectly cooked shrimp. Their service was great and they have nice outdoor seating. Everything was absolutely fresh, seasoned, hot and perfect without a single thing needing to be changed. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere to relax or talk in while waiting on orders. For appetizers, me and my family got mozzarella sticks, bruschetta, and bread sticks, as seen in the first image. The bread sticks are massive and seasoned extremely well, very much worth it specifically! I personally ordered a medium Montgomery Special Pizza and a slice of Rainbow Cake. The pizza, as listed on the menu, came with green peppers, onion, pepperoni, meatballs, sausage, and mushrooms. It was generally fantastic, albeit surely messy to eat (some of the best ones are!), with a crust done well similarly. The mushrooms in particular were thinly sliced and perfect, I even picked a few off of the pizza to eat by themselves! My family that I went with got the evening's Ravioli special, stuffed shells, and chicken Parmesan as posted in the 2nd to 4th pictures, with my pizza being the 5th. All seemed to enjoy it. We went as per another person's recommendation and absolutely plan to go again! Our server was also lovely for the evening, accommodating and polite in all respects. We used to frequent The Cauldron, but it closed quite a while ago and sat dormant throughout COVID. I was pleasantly surprised to see new owners in this quaint little restaurant, and after a somewhat shaky first experience their first week open, things have really solidified and they are firing on all cylinders. From the menu, big portions of all your Italian favorites, good flavors and reasonable prices. The pizza? Really, really good. While we love the regular cheese pie, white, Margarita, and sicilian, their Nonna pie is by far their signature pie. Square pie, like a thin sicilian, layered with rich marinara, mozzarella, parmesan, and basil, with a nice buttery crust. It's so good, I have to stop myself from eating the whole pie. I had been here when it was the Cauldron. Although that had not been the most atmospheric experience they good food and decent prices. The used to be a disaster. They closed and after quite awhile it has opened as Amari Trattoria. The parking lot has been cleaned up and smoothed out. But it is small. We were pleasantly greeted and seated and our server was very pleasant. It has a typical Italian menu and pizza. We ordered the caprese salad and a personal margarita pizza to share with the salad was fresh with large slices of tomato and fresh mozzarella and greens. The pizza was thin , light and tasty. Will definitely go back to try dinner. read more

Although our server was pleasant and service was good, for $18 I was expecting at least a salad or fries to go with my sandwich. Prices charged were a few dollars more than the printed menu we had. My date's "special" shrimp quesadilla was sub par - shrimp was breaded and previously frozen - and tortilla was cold - not even warmed in the pan as the other thousands of quesadillas we have eaten.
