Came in for the first time today and it was an unexpected delight! Not your typical pizzeria. Causal seating in the front and more formal dining in the back. There is a deli counter and pizzeria portion. The menu features affordable options and generous serving sizes. I had the lunch special of low fat spinach ravioli. Served with a salad and soda, it's a great deal! The pizza is amazing and toppings are not spared. Staff is very friendly and our waitress was super sweet! Just tried this place. Everyone is super friendly and it seems like a well- oiled machine. The place seems really clean and perfect for a quick meal. There are a nice array of pizza options . I've been on a hunt to find a good quality slice of pizza ( I start by judging a basic plain slice). The plain was decent but not quite a stand-out. The sauce is a little too sweet and lacking a quality flavor. The crust is perfectly thin enough but flops a little too easily. It's also lacking a rustic taste. I also tried the grandma slice which was just ok. It needed more fresh basil and again the sauce was lacking. Maybe other items are better here. I'm willing to try. I'm just really particular about my pizza and have been spoiled with pizza from Westchester, Bronx, NYC area. I'm still on my hunt but this is just ok enough place to get your pizza. read more

AMAZING! I was NOT at all dissatisfied I never eat the crust and I ate the crust! I didn't know if I would like this place considering all the "good" pizza places around, even those rarer high, but I'm telling you the pizza was baked perfectly with a lot of everything and the bbq chicken and wings was a big portion and so good and had sauce for days unlike others you have to order extra sauce. The cheese cake was to die for and the way they packed it up was impressive as well !! They gave us silverware that actually doesn't break when you try to use it and enough for more than just two people, napkins as well ! I tried Cascarino's for the first time tonight. Someone I know who lives in the area told me it was their "spot" to go. I was even more convinced when I heard they were voted "best pizza" in the hudson valley on a local radio station. Upon entrance I see the huge plastic sign stating that exactly. Going by that advice, I figured this will be great. Boy was I wrong...first off it is tiny! I mean teeny, tiny! I really planned to dine in, but when I saw the tables I believe there were 5 -6 were all in use. There was also a long line with not so friendly customers. Everyone seemed to have a resting bi+ch face. I waited patiently and ordered a regular pie, I figured if it got best pizza go with a plain and judge it by that. The pizza was going to take 35-40 minutes the girl on register stated (it took 52 min) I didn't get a warm feeling from any of the staff. Two guys slinging the pies seemed overwhelmed. The two girls handling customers seemed rushed and flustered. There were only two gentleman eating at a table everyone else was waiting for take out orders. That's a long cook time, any other pizzeria I know takes about 20... again still in hopes it would be memorable. Honestly, the only thing memorable was the taste I can't get off my tongue from the bug/insect flavoring I got from the bottom of the crust on the first bite. It was awful. The sauce was hot, the cheese was congealed and the cornmeal on the crust tasted toxic, just not pleasant. I would not go back again. I don't know if it was something on the counter/box/pan or a workers hands. It just was inedible and a waste of time/money and taste buds. read more

I paid $20 for a large cheese pizza that I picked up from Cascarino's in Montgomery, NY. The average I've paid for a cheese pizza in Orange County are between $14-15. It was good but not any better than some others and definitely not worth $6 more. Unfortunately it's the last pizza there for me. Came to this place since it was the closest thing to our hotel and the reviews here on Yelp were good. The place gets the job done and the food was good! Local spot for people to either order take out or actually sit down to have dinner. When entering you will face the section where you can buy pizza by the slice as well as pick up take out. On the left side there are hams and other cold cuts you can get. To the right side of the entrance is a hallways that leads to the back dining room, you'll be greeted by the waitress and taken to your seat. Pizza was very good, nice thin ny style pizza. Different options on the menu to choose from also. Calzones, pizza, pasta, salada and dessert. Definitely a nice local place to grab a bite. Reached for a menu and ordered a Veal Cutlet Parmesian Hero, which was priced at $10.00 and handed the cashier my credit card to pay the bill. Happened to look on my bank statement and there was a charge from the restaurant for $15.75. This was a mistake and I called immediately and was informed that the menu went up!!!!!!!!! It seems everything I order from Cascarino's is bigger and better than any surrounding restaurant. Ever since the inception of their Italian deli, I've been coming back more and more frequently. I recently had their Italian combo, and it was insane. Not only was it bigger than a small child, but all the meats were freshly sliced, and, more importantly, all the toppings were freshly made in house. I've never seen fresh mozzarella served on an Italian combo before and although that may not be the traditional way to do it, now I will always want a combo with it. The pizza. Cascarino's quite possibly has the best tasting crust I've ever had in my life. There's something about it that is unlike any I've had, even in NYC. They coat the crust in just the right amount of semolina, giving a nice crunch, while also imparting a sweet flavor. At least I think that's what happens. The point is, there are so many generic pizza joints around that it can often be confusing which to pick. Some have great pizza, some have great sandwiches, some have great dinners, but rarely will an establishment deliver on every category. Cascarino's is such a place. read more

My name popped up on his comuter and he mentioned about the review I wrote. He was very apologetic about the things that had happened and said that he is working to improve the delievery service. We frequent this pizzeria and have never been disappointed. The employees are super nice. The owners son always remembers our names, as well as his dad "The Big Cheese", Anthony. Their food is spectacular. One thing that struck me was the courtesy. I have learned in leadership classes of how vital it is to recognize patrons as promptly as possible once they enter the premises. I noticed tonight how quickly he greeted everyone as they came through the door. Also, how cordial and personable he was. There was a sense of respect as he spoke to you. A great combination of interaction as well as great tasting food.
