They rented us a brand new F-350 (so nice my husband wanted to keep it) and allowed us to pull our 5th wheel with it. Insurance even helped. My husband enjoyed them so much he is now wanting them to do some modifications to our trailer this winter. Yes, we still live nearly 1000 miles away, and THEY SAID THEY WOULD COME PICK IT UP IF WE WANTED. You don't find much of that kind of service these days. Let me tell you my tale of despair! Recently on a trip to the national parks we had some major…read moretrauma in travels. Outside of Chamberlain SD, somehow, my trailer breakaway engaged and fried all my brakes on my 40' Fifthwheel. To make a long story shorter, after getting back on the road again, I started calling ahead to get my brakes fixed before I headed too far into the mountains! I connected with Rapid City Camping World and they said "We can work you in" Music to my ears, traveling with a group of friends and on a time schedule. Being there all day for two axels worth of brakes, bearings, 1 new hub, etc. at the end of the day we were traveling again, not without trauma. The breaking system on the trailer still had difficulties from a nicked wire and intermittently I had or didn't have brakes. They said what they did was correct but we still had a problem! To shorten the story and what Rich, the service manager did to make it right is the moral of this story and why I am praising their resolve! One thing to note is that Marcus Lemonis, CEO of Camping World, Gander outdoors, Overtons, and many other concerns CARES ABOUT A POSITIVE PUBLIC IMAGE AND THE HEALTH OF HIS BUSINESSES! To this point he publicly suggests that if you have a problem with any of his holdings, "throw the flag on the field" and he will get it resolved! That is what i did and we have come to an amicable settlement and I applaud Marcus and what he is building and taking the PERSONAL responsibility to build great companies!!! Through the process, Rich the service manager of the Camping world store became the owner of the problem and personally called me and gave me a reasonable agreed upon settlement and I could not be more happy! If more businesses took this kind of corporate responsibility for their workmanship the world would be a better place! Thanks Rich for resolving my issue. Thanks to the other teams involved like the Good Sam roadside service issues i experienced and hopefully we are all better for what we have learned. They tried to make my experience more comforting and I now have a better understanding of the services I thought I had! I was initially a little skeptical when we pulled in because it's a pretty small campground and the…read moresites are close together (which I now realize is common around here). Needless to say this place won me over. Lisa and Harvey have done a phenomenal job with this campground and are fantastic hosts. The General Store has most everything you need in case you forget some essential camping needs. All the sites are on nice, flat ground though there isn't much shade. Our site was next to porta potties (plus) and we also had a shelter over our picnic table (plus). We didn't look inside the cabins but they look cozy and have a porch swing out front. The swimming pool is small but really nice and is naturally chlorinated due to the 750 lbs of salt that's been added. Good for the skin :) It can be cool at night here so bring warm clothes. We arrived in July and on the way through the hills we saw snow on the ground!! It's quiet, relaxing and really beautiful here.

Sunset RV Park is a small yet spacious park in the Black Hills that's geared for adults and seniors. Back-in sites with full hook-ups offering 30 and 50 amp receptacles, septic, and water. Located an easy 2 miles from downtown Custer. Picnic tables, yard games, community fire pit, and pet friendly. You must be self contained. We stayed in #6 campsite, which has trees, flowers and hanging bird feeders. We woke to birds chirping. We loved Bill and Tami...wonderful hosts. Quiet, peaceful...we felt safe and close to Custer State Park! Can't wait to go back!

2022 (new) camper delivered end of April 2025 we have a 2 yr warranty n not sure what good it is/…read morethe salesman, owner, staff have been no help / we had contact June 2 saying our fridge was at 60 degrees/ threw food out / 2 service techs, calls 2 Jacks calls to Jayco and aug 19 still without a fridge/ can't take the techs word or picture /so fed up / we never got a working remote at delivery almost 4 months later Jack's still has not gotten us one/ the fireplace timer doesn't work was suppose 2 get us another one/ drawers that dont close /slide out tears / calls go unreturned documents not submitted 4 warranty/ wouldn't recommend this place to anyone/ and our bank had to call multiple times because our title was not received in a timely manner /they get your $ and your left 2 take care of issues with the camper yourself/ they also called on our behalf to the dealership with all the issues n not handling them

This place is massive. If you have young kids would be a great place. Also people have no etiquette. Walk through campsites all day everyday. The staff really need to explain to all campers that campsites are not shortcuts. For us would have preferred a more calm location where people know not to walk through sites.
