Please, rethink your hiring approach Budget. Zero empathy, compassion or help in a very stressful family situation with a flat tire on top of it. Submitted a report to customer service and never heard back from the company. Called the managers card to speak with him and guess who picks up the phone? Yup, Richard. Answered the survey that was emailed to me after my trip and the manager emailed me to apologize but never heard from him again. I will never rent from this company nor recommend them to anyone. I was just a number and dollar signs.

    I am assisting an employee with a claim filed by this company for hail damage that did not occur…read morewhile she had the car. They sent pictures as evidence, which was pictures of the car with circles drawn on the picture, but there is no damage depicted in the picture. Our employee has no reason to challenge this claim because if it were legitimate, it would be paid by the company with no expense to her personally with no repercussions to her. But, as a matter of principal--this damage did not occur during her rental of the car--she has reached out to the company's risk management department for assistance defending the claim. We have weather reports that show there were no hail storms, but their response is that there are often microburst storms that are not logged on weather reports. Beware if you rent from this company and take lots of pictures of the car before you take possession and when you return it. They will attempt to make money on false damage claims or attribute damage to you that did not occur during your possession!

Check in staff was friendly and the car was ready to go after signing the forms. We got a Jeep Compass, the backseat and trunk area were a bit dirty like it needed a vacuum. Even though the Jeep was 2024, there were scratches and scuffs so make sure you take a good video or pics when you get your car. The returning of the car was different than when you return a car rental at other airports. There was no attendant that checks the car to verify any damages, mileage or that you're returning with a full tank. You just park in any numbered spots and bring back the keys to the counter in the airport. I took a picture of the mileage and full tank to show the staff when I dropped the keys off as a just in case. I would note that since there are no staff outside when picking up or dropping off the car rental, you document the condition of your car (via videos or pics) at pick up and return to avoid any future hassles of potential damages.

I was politely greeted at the rental counter, was advised the best way to get to my destination, and was given a map that highlighted many national parks and other areas that I might have otherwise overlooked. The individual also told me about special events that were occurring at the time. The return was equally easy. I would definitely recommend Alamo at the Rapid City airport!
