Very friendly greeters, food was good, waitress was incredible. They have a Happy Hour section and a non-happy hour section. I'm not sure what separates the two, think you need special goggles to see the line between the tables. Waited a really long time to be seated then found out why everyone else was being seated right away because they were in the special section. Our table turned out to be right next to it. Place looks nice, could use a new manager.

Everything you expect from Casey's. A great black & blue burger. My wife liked her French dip. The Reuben egg rolls were interesting.

I told him how happy I was that I stopped in, especially since it was my first time, and how good the food was, not thinking anything I said was special. "Glad I stopped in, the food is very good." He immediately turned around, walked away, saying thank you to me. I thought it a little strange he didn't make eye contact. A few feet away, before taking the next customer's order whom just walked in, he paused, wiped a few tears from his eye, and quietly said to himself--though I could still barely hear it--that he was happy to be working today. He didn't know I heard him, and I didn't acknowledge it since his back was turned and not wanting to get emotional myself. Never in my decades on this planet has one of my compliments hit an owner this way. This place is truly special and who knows what this owner is going through but I hope they have many more years of success and good food. If I ever go back to Ann Arbor, I will always stop here for food now. I just wish I lived closer. This place is a gem. Update/Edit: I forgot to mention like others have, this man was in a dress shirt and tie and looking immaculate. I was in a dirty hoody coming in from the wet cold and I probably smelled a little from a long ass day and this man treated me with more respect than some in my own family. He called me sir and tbhen by my first name when he learned it for my order. He greeted and said goodbye to the 2nd customer by their name and they looked like a regular. Gotta say I'm beyond impressed and I don't give out 5 stars lightly. I truly hope my review can convince more people to come in. This looks like a total "mom and pops" joint so if it does get busy, have patience for these owners. I think it's only them running the place.

I love a good salad, so I was excited to finally check out sweetgreen while in Ann Arbor recently…read more Nate and I chose this location for its proximity to another spot we wanted to visit (York) as well as its available parking lot vs. the downtown location. I had browsed the menu a bit beforehand, and decided I wanted the caramelized garlic steak protein plate. They also have bowls (greens + grains base) and salads. Unfortunately they were all out of the steak and it was going to be a 10 minute wait, and they were also out of the roasted sweet potatoes so I ended up kind of building my own bowl with mixed greens, rice, blackened chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, and pesto vinaigrette. I liked that they mixed up the bowl for me since it can be tough to mix in those small to-go containers. They also asked if I wanted light, regular, or heavy dressing - I said regular, but would probably go light next time. We also got a piece of bread on the side. They have a designated outdoor seating area by the parking lot, which was great for the nice day. I loved my bowl and everything was super fresh and very flavorful. It was also a huge portion! We definitely could have split one bowl. I will say that it was super salty. Nate liked his shroomami bowl even though we both thought the kale could have been massaged a bit to make it softer. I'm hoping sweetgreen will expand to Grand Rapids - we do have CoreLife but I'd love to have this option too!

I have ordered both bowls and salads. I never have created my own because they just already do it so good! My current favorites are the steakhouse chopped bowl and Buffalo chicken salad. The green goddess dressing is also a must. The ingredients are ultra fresh and the salads are nicely balanced on the ingredients, not to much lettuce for all the rest of the toppings as they have mastered the perfect ratio. The bread is fine, nothing special, and I usually skip it. I am a big fan and suggest you give it a try for fresh, healthy, delicious, fast food!

My biggest issue was with their food was their flavors and seasoning. Everything here was bland and under seasoned... I guess the place is more for health nuts than average joe. The noodle dishes were beyond disappointing. Needs major work and overhaul in the flavor department. Poke - DO NOT get it with the sushi rice. Their sushi rice is very mushy and does injustice to the dish. Instead get it with regular white rice. miso soup - should be called green onion soup with the amount of the sliced green onions in the dish. Didn't have much of miso flavor either. Overall, walked away disappointed, most likely won't be back. However, the staff members were welcoming and friendly. The dining area was large and open, few high tables close to the kitchen.

They also carry baked goods and various other prepared foods from local businesses like Zingerman's and Avalon. They do $6 sushi rolls after 8pm every night as well as some excellent deals on baked goods (50% off). The sushi is usually $11-15 a roll so the discount is great. It's not the best sushi in the world but it's very good for grocery quality. Otherwise, they (unsurprisingly) mostly carry organic and small-business brands. They have good sales sometimes but even then you can expect prices to be about 25% higher than what you'd see at a "normal" grocery store. Overall it's a fun place to go if you want high quality products but it's not really a feasible substitute for everyday shopping due to the prices. Will go back for the sushi at a minimum!

Before going to this market I used to think my friend was a decent cook and then I was able to see how the food was always prepared and packaged perfectly to go right onto a sheet for the oven. The food quality of the salmon or chicken or whatever was always good. Makes for a good appearance of a good cook to even the most basic of cooks (Nuke kings and queens).
