    Crumbly bun.
    Michelle F.

I was looking for a fantastic burger place and instead got just meh. First off they need to fix the door. It was so hard to open that I thought the place was closed. I almost left but another customer came up and had to yank the heck out of it and it finally opened. Once inside the staff was very welcoming. There is a kiosk that you can order at or you can order from the staff. The kiosk was busy so the employee took our order. Everything was smooth until we took our cups to the soft drink station. The ice machine was broken. So sad. I definitely was not interested in a soft drink with no ice. The employee was very nice and took it off the bill and gave us bottled water. We sat at a table and the food was brought over to us. We both got cheeseburgers and fries. The fries were good. The burger was disappointing. The bun was crumbly. The burger was just ok. Not the best experience and not worth the $15 I spent. There are plenty of tables and location is good. Parking is fine.

I wanted to go to Cardamom originally. As I walked up to the restaurant, it appeared that they were closed. I then drove across the street to try out this place because I was too tired and too lazy to go elsewhere. I ordered their East Coast Fries, The Burger 1 -O-, and Chicken Strips. My eyes are as big as my stomach because I ate 97% of it before retiring in my hotel room w/o any remorse. Service was very friendly, genuine. You order, pay, and given a number to place on your table (for dine-in), and wait. The place wasn't busy when I came so I am thankful the ordering process and everything was a breeze. The menu is limited w/ unlimited possibilities. I didn't want to be that person that takes forever to order so I went w/ the Burger 1 -O-. It is not just a burger but a juicy patty topped w/ 2 mozzarella cheese sticks and an onion ring. A smorgasbord presented in a form of a burger. It was so delicious!!! Loved that spread. The East Coast Fries is basically fries seasoned and fried to perfection then topped off w/ their signature sauce. I had to drink a lot of water that night to offset the sodium spike. The chicken tenders were delicious; not overly breaded. It was very juicy and went super well w/ ketchup, BBQ sauce, and ranch. I'm a dipper. A sinfully delicious meal, worth the money and calories!

Solid burger. Juicy patty. Cheese and sauce good. Bun needs to be grilled or toasted. Fries were solid. Worth a try.

I stopped in here for convenience, to grab a burger for my husband, while waiting for another pickup order next door. At first notice, the dining room was spacious with proper spacing for tables. WiFi available in the dining area, as the cell service here is awful. There is a pickup window and dine in window. It appears you order at the counter and grab it when ready. The menu is great - build a burger, shakes, and selection of sides. The only note that I thought was odd was that they only have turkey bacon. I am not hating, just thought it was different. So many combinations, we'll have to try more. I placed my order and the cook was super friendly with a greeting and gave me a time to expect it would be ready. The burger was fresh and tasty, even 45 minutes later when I could get it to my husband. It was a Thursday evening and the dining room was empty. I watched the gal that took my order, make some amazing looking milk shakes. Definitely a must try next time. Proper sanitizing station available. Workers were masked and gloved. Social distancing enforced and outdoor seating available.

Chapos Burger with black bean patty

My husband and I got burgers and fries from here and they were so good! The burgers were great, only thing keeping from 5 stars is that we were a bit surprised at them being smaller than we expected, considering the price. They were on the thinner side. I'm a vegetarian so it was really nice to see that they have both black bean patty or impossible patty available to substitute for any of their signature burgers, or can build your own with either option as well! I got the black bean patty on the Chapo signature burger and it was so good! My husband got 5 Buffalo wings and said the chicken was decent, but the sauce was great. Their East Coast Fries were the star of the night, they are vegetarian friendly too! They're incredible. Well seasoned with Cajun seasoning and then covered in cheese sauce and caramelized onions. Will definitely be getting it again.

Omg. So good. This place balances the beautiful line between trashy and classy. We got the burger 1, a ranch wrap, and the East coast fries. The burger was delish! I hesitated when I saw the word "turkey" in front of the word "bacon" but it was a glorious mess and the pretzel bun was SPECTACULAR! The large fry was a generous portion -so good! The ranch wrap was okay. Won't get it again. Overall, great flavors and great prices

Great halal burger spot! Menu had lot of options including buikd your own burger, chicken burger, warps, sandwich melts, sides and more. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The dining space was pretty spacious. Food was good overall. My burger patty was slightly overdone but everything else was spot on. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

So. Good. Service, food, music, menu options, location. I would consider this a little tucked away gem on the north side of Ann Arbor. Service was great, you could tell the food was cooked fresh, and the place was clean with all the right covid precautions in place. My boyfriend has been talking about this place for weeks and weeks, and we finally stopped in together on a Monday evening. We shared the east coast fries, a ranch wrap, and a bbq burger. Very tasty, and very filling. The bbq burger was cooked to perfection, and I loved the onion ring on it. The ranch wrap with crispy chicken had the perfect amount of everything wrapped and toasted in a tortilla. The sauces weren't overwhelming, but gave the burger and wrap just enough extra flavor. I don't even know what magic was on the fries, but they were perfection. A blend of cheese, grilled onions, Cajun seasoning, and some kind of sauce that pulled it all together. Will definitely be back.

I was in the neighborhood as I was conducting some business at the University of Michigan. It's pretty much a very small old house converted into an ordering counter and kitchen behind. When you come in, you are expected to have your order ready to spit out without any hesitation or you get cursed and screamed at by the person at the counter. I had read that this was their modus operandi so I wasn't shocked! The burger was cooked on a flat top that was well loved. As I really wasn't sure of the condiments they offered. I just told them to load it up. My Burger came with a nice toasted bun-it had a freshly made burger, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. It was very tasty. Krazy Jim doesn't do any advertising, but there were an abundance of college students waiting in line to order their burger. It feels to me like he is a legend of sorts as is the Blimpie Burger. I'm glad we arrived when we did as there was only a short line. Next time you're in Ann Arbor, Michigan, check it out. You won't regret it.

Yelp…read morehas allowed me to chronicle these adventures, serving as a repository for my dining memories. Echelon has now made it to my exclusive list of 5-star restaurants. I readily admit to being a tough reviewer - very few places earn a 5. Allow me to share some of the reasons: Service was stellar. The staffers were professional and friendly. They quickly brought out each course and cleared the table efficiently. They were tireless in answering my many questions about the ingredients. I prefer tasting menus. For me, after the first few bites, my taste buds get fatigued. The six-course tasting menu, with its complex flavors and textures, kept me interested throughout the meal. The dining room was spacious and well-appointed, without being stuffy and overwhelming. I loved the table groupings and comfy seats, whimsical wall coverings, oversized lighting, and wall of windows. I believe the tasting menu changes; I had: - A bite of brick dough (I had to look it up) pastry, served with a tart, faintly bitter rhubarb soda for a palate cleanser. - The Kanpachi crudo arrived with smoky fanfare. It was served with agua fresca and droplets of chili oil, topped with watermelon radish. I loved the fatty, slippery fish paired with the acidic, fresh, and spicy liquid. - My favorite course was the wood-roasted maitake mushroom in a shoyu glaze, topped with shallots, with a red pepper sauce. I wouldn't have minded a main entrée of these savory, meaty mushrooms. - Next up was the sesame seed-encrusted shrimp toast on Japanese milk bread. It was served with lobster bisque and tiny lobster tail skewers. I am very familiar with deep-fried shrimp toast, a dim sum staple, and loved the novelty of black and white sesame seeds. The bisque was rich and flavorful, while the lobster tail was sweet and delicious. It was such a variety of flavors on one plate. - I never had Cappelletti before and enjoyed the pasta stuffed with a manchego-ricotta mix. It was served with more mushrooms (yay!), buttermilk froth, and fried shallots. - The restaurant considered the Wagyu bavette the star of the tasting menu. While I liked the tender beef, peppercorn demi-glace, potato croquettes, and creme fraiche topped with bacon, I still preferred the mushroom course. - The grapefruit granita and compressed grapefruit were another nice palate cleanser. - The dessert was as beautiful as it was creative. Sunchoke ice cream and crispy sunchoke straws enhanced the chocolate hazelnut flavors. I only wish a duck course was available on the day of my visit. It was offered a few weeks earlier.

My first visit was for brunch, and it completely won me over. The buffet had a wonderful variety of food, the mimosas and cocktails were delicious, and for the quality, variety, and service you get, the price point is very fair. I left thoroughly impressed. I came back for lunch excited to experience it again, and while the staff was just as warm and the environment just as great, however, this time the lunch menu didn't quite live up to my expectations. They offer salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese and similar American-style comfort food, which is totally fine, but for a restaurant of this caliber I was hoping for something a little more exciting. I ended up ordering a salad with added shrimp, which was absolutely delicious, and a pomegranate rosemary lemonade that was incredibly refreshing - perfect for a summer day-. But if you're not in the mood for sandwiches, salads, or mac and cheese, your options are pretty limited. My suggestion: keep doing everything you're doing because the hospitality and atmosphere are truly special, but consider expanding the lunch and dinner menu for those looking for a heartier or more diverse meal.
