As a fellow customer, Seeing the people who write bad reviews about this place clearly don't know how pawn shops work and I wish people can reply to other people's reviews instead of having to make a call out post if you are mad about losing your things then do your payments on time or don't get a loan on your precious items You need to be clear about if you are selling or getting a loan on items Items have to be tested and have to have everything included like chargers and such, they are not going to take your broken junk Jewelry HAS to be scratched to test if the gold is real, if you don't want it scratched then don't offer it If you don't like the prices their system is offering you, there is always Facebook and Offer Up and no need to cry about it online, they are trying to make money too YOU WONT GET EXACTLY WHAT YOU PAID FOR These employees get enough pressure as it is from their higher ups in a store that is almost always slow every day and these petty reviews are infuriating coming from a fellow customer All in All I think this store is good and they deserve better, I have had nothing but good experiences from very nice people - thank you for coming to my TED Talk be good people read more

There's no rating low enough for this'd place. I would rather let Captain Hook give me a prostate exam than do business with this place. Went in with a few items, no other customers in the store and there were three people working. It took the two ladies working on pricing my items an hour and a half to give me their unbelievably way too low offer. The younger lady was sweet as she could be no ill will for her at all. The older lady was a nightmare to deal with, complete lack of knowledge about anything she was looking at, rude like it was my fault shes miserable. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Continuing on my bad experience from three months ago with this specific location, tonight I find myself in search of a used DSLR, so I Google "pawn shops" and call the first one. The guy who answers, I'm assuming the manager from his voice and what I remember if him from my last experience, answers and is just a condescending asshole as I ask questions. I let it slide. WOW! Is this the same place these other folks went to? Really? A washed up hooker? Really dude...that was uncalled for. And how do you know what a washed up hooker even looks like? This place has treated me extremely well in every trip I've made to them. I'm sure I could get more for what I've sold elsewhere...but that would involve time and patience and sometimes I have neither...so I sell to the folks that have taken good care of me in the past. Worst experience ever at a pawnshop. I came to pick up items I'd pawned and was told by Robb the manager that they only take cash when you pick up. I had to run around to three different ATMs to be able to withdraw the money he wanted. That policy isn't stated on the receipt and isn't stated on the door or any walls in the pawnshop. It clearly says on the front door that they take all major cards and checks! This guy was a major jerk! I've called corporate and am waiting for a general manager to call me back. I don't know what this guys problem was but apparently he didn't like me coming to get my stuff! When I asked for a receipt they said they don't give receipts when you pick up. This place has bad business practices and I hope people think twice before they come here to do business because these people will rip you off and make you jump through hoops in hopes of you leaving your stuff there so they can sell it and make a profit.I think the guy was hoping that I wouldn't be able to take all the money out today and I have to come back in a few days when the interest would be added onto the loan again. I hope he doesn't do this to anybody else because he put me and my three-year-old at risk when we had to run around to get this guy $1500 in cash to get my stuff out. read more

I dropped in on my way home from work as I was in the market for a '45. The reception I got was extremely courteous. And they actually had some nice handguns, and in good shape, not like what I saw at the other pawnshops. Prices were ok, but with some negotiations we came to an agreement that had us both satisfied. Ok, now I know that pawn shops aren't generally considered to be the most cost effective places to shop. But now and again you can find a real gems tucked away somewhere, like the 1200 watt microwave I bought for $40 a little over 4 years ago, or the television we put in our bedroom that I spent $50 nearly 6 years ago. Both of which are working fine today. So from time to time I'll pop into whatever pawn shops I can find. Not too long ago my monitor started going out. I knew I'd need one, knew I'd probably be going to Fry's, but thought I'd check out the Cash America I pass by on a regular basis first. Oh. My. Freaking. God. Next to the door they have a display of video games. My wife and I like to play on the 360 once in a while so I took a look. They had used games, that you could purchase new in the box at Wal-Mart for $20, available for $25-$30. No manual, scratched disks, well used, for $25-$30, on ANCIENT titles. Moving on I took a look at the computer monitors. The first one I saw was a 19 inch LCD, about two years old, for $219. The second, a slightly newer 21 inch model, was on sale for $249. The third, an almost brand new 23 inch 780p was valued to them at over $300. My wife had been looking at getting a PDA. So I move over to the cases to see that they had. They had a 5 year old Palm TX on sale...for $349. Those can be bought on EBay for around a $120 these days. On both the monitor and PDA prices I tried to speak to someone at the store. A lot of pawn shops will haggle, it's part of the fun. After 15 minutes of trying I gave up. I ultimately went down the street to Fry's and bought brand new 23 inch 1080i monitor for $139, and haven't darkened Cash America's doorstep since. read more

I've read the other reviews and am surprised. I have always found the staff here to be professional, kind & courteous. It IS a pawn shop & some prices were not great, so I didn't buy. My choice. Other times I've had to pawn items and I thought the staff was fine. I've had no problems here at all. read more

I went into this store this afternoon to look at gold chains, maybe a Christmas present. The staff were one of the rudest retail groups I've ever come across. I will never go back, and I would not recommend this store to anyone. I had no issue when I went in, but when I mentioned a watch that I own they went on to tell me what a piece of garbage it was, that no one buys watches anymore ( this is 1500.00 Swiss watch) and just went on and on. ? I went yesterday to get a Blu-Ray player and got a 120 GB PS3 (also plays Blu-Rays) and two games instead for the price of a good quality Blu-Ray player. I'm not sure the 1 star ratings are all that fair - it's all about perspective I guess - sadly & I do mean sadly - our finances have been junk ever since the economy tanked in '08 & I've been faithfully paying my x-wife child support - thus - between - other items that come up - we've been short plenty of times & have used this location to make ends meet. Back in '08 there was one fellow there whom did always low ball everything - thus - I just avoided him & never really had a issue with any of the other staff - there's one comment that's totally unjust - "the old hag - that looks like a washed up hooker" - really - this would immediately tell me the person has a serious chip on their shoulder - I sure as heck wouldn't want my wife/sister/daughter referred to in such a disrespectful matter - anyway - as mentioned - I've been their customer since '08 - it's not a perfect relationship - but they've sure as heck helped make our bills meet when we've been short ... read more
