I went in there with my wife and daughter , my wife looking for an Nintendo switch remotes , and I looking for a new shot gun. (Keep in mind we are latinos and both serving in the military)Walked in the lady infront was super nice , welcomed us amazinglady , we walked around and found the switch remotes we wanted . The guy at the gun counter was a straight ass hole being rude to my wife when we would ask questions. I assumed he was having a bad day so we brushed it off . So when I asked to see one of the wepons I was interested in , right when I asked , another gentleman same race as him " white". The worker straight ignores me mid sentence and immediately offers the other guy to hold/see a wepon when we have been waiting for a good minute and where ready to buy . So immediately I noticed it was a race thing because when I told my wife let's leave ,she questioned me if I was going to get them after all and I told her no because we just waisted time there because immediately the vibe changed and we where not offered to see or hold the wepon but to the other guy right away he was offeredsnd his mood switched up so quickly, so we'll just buy else where . And I said it loud so the worker can hear me and when he looked at us , he laughed n said " we don't like your kind anyway " under his breath. Keep in mind a grown ass man acting like a kid so we just left . So therefore I wouldn't recommend this place at all save your money and time and try somewhere else . A buddy and I went in to purchase a handgun. Cash in hand! We're new to the WA area, but not new to the gun buying process. We noticed they had a sign on the door upon entry. "Closed for break 3-3:45". We walked in the door at 2:40ish. After browsing the inventory, we finally decided what to buy. He then forced us to put the gun on layaway and told us we can't apply today! We had to come back "any day other than today" to start the application process. No, he didn't want to lose his break.... So he forced us to put the gun on layaway so we would have to come back another day to deal with it... So we decided to go to WGS: selected, purchased, applied ALL IN THE SAME DAY! I was looking for a specific type of bass guitar amp so I decided to hit a couple of local pawnshops, the crazy thing is I found the amp I wanted at the very first pawnshop I went into which was Cash America, not only did I find the amp I wanted but also this beautiful, sexy Squire jazz bass. Brandon (asst. mgr.) was excellent, I watched him interact with 3 separate customers, very professional and friendly. In looking at reviews of pawnshops, you have to weigh those that are pawning stuff and those that are buying stuff, pawnshops are what they are, you're not gonna get a ton of money bringing stuff in, but you'll probably find some pretty good deals purchasing. I have a lot of equipment in with these guys, they can pay a couple of employees with the money I at to pick up my stuff or keep loans going. A lot of the staff are nice and decent, but a couple of them are rude, and act disgusted with all the clients. They loan very low, but are decent about notifying you before you lose your stuff. I just drove ,30 minutes from where I Iive to put my camera in because they are closed tomorrow, I don't get paid until the 9th and am maxed out, and low on gas One of the rude And/disgusted people comes out at 5:30 to a big line and says "We are only doing layaways and purchases for the rest of the night. I don't have enough gas to make it home. The guy said some side remarks when I protested. And threw me out, so I have to go hit someone up for a few gallons of gas and do the rest of the weekend broke. I spend too much money here to be treated this way. Don't bring your business here. When you are down on your chops and the cards are full, the last thing you need is to be abused or ridiculed while they leave you with no fuel and scraping until they open again,. Your paycheck comes from all the *scummy" pawn people, that makes you scummy as the rest of us, have a little respect. Nice shop. They have a LOT of inventory, both inside and out of the store. I was impressed by their prices, buying and selling. The establishment is clean. The employees were very helpful and didn't leave me with the feeling that I was being taken advantage of. They explained things to me and listened to me explain why I was there to begin with. I was happy to leave with more money than I expected. I shopped around for a long time before I actually did any business with a pawn shop. The idea kind of was a little scary to me. I was in a tight spot financially and moving, but needed a TV so decided to take a look here. I bought a TV and purchased a 15 day warranty thinking if I don't like it, then I can bring it back. Well, I ended up liking the tv and felt good about my purchase, but right after my warranty expired it stopped working (how coincidental). This tv has not been bumped, nudged, or even touched since I set it up. I have to wonder if it came in damaged, and was patched up good enough to sell. I should have known better by how disgusting the TV's are that are showcased for sale. I mean seriously- they couldn't take the time to wipe them down, but charge barely below retail prices? I would not trust to buy a tech item from this place ever again. Now, I have to pay someone to repair it or buy another TV, because this thing is completely useless. This place is so unprofessional and deceiving. I was taking a Pioneer surround sound that my husband couldn't take himself bc of work. And they made me carry all the box and said that I needed to hook it up myself to show that I owned it! Me being a normal women have no idea how that kind of electronics work of course. I found the team at Cash America Pawn to be on part with other pawn shops in town. I wish the prices were higher what they pay for certain things, but at the same time a pawn shop is a quick fix for getting rid of items or getting a quick loan. Every time I've been in there (which is more than I'd like to have been) they handled the purchasing or loan of my goods quickly and efficiently (I pawned my entire 100+ Blu-Ray collection multiple times) with a smile and politeness. Went in to buy a dvd to enjoy my days off from work. The store was dark, dingy, and dusty. There was no product on the shelves behind the counter and it was filthy. When I was going through the DVDs I found a title I had been looking for, I opened the box only to find that the feature title was not in the box, and a pornographic movie was in its place! I brought a movie that I was purchasing along with the obscene one to the counter. The woman who helped me laughed at me when I told her about the movie box with the porn movie in it, as did the man working the counter next to her, like it was just a big joke to them. This shop has treated me very well. I have used them for many years both for pawns and purchase. They take almost anything of value but no guns or broken junk. This shop is clean, organized, and is not littered with piles of broken things. Unlike some pawn shops they have high standards of checking that items work and that they are not stolen. This makes buying things easy and never risky. They have a great return policy and one if the best layaway programs I've seen for purchasing items. For the people who write bad reviews about this shops service they should step into some of the other pawn shops and they will see a big difference in service. Most pawn shops can be very very rude, super sketchy, and full of sketchy overprice junk. Realize that this pawn shop is giving you a loan on your item. The amount they give you is NOT retail it's only a loan. If you don't come back for your stuff they have to sell the item fast to make back both the money loaned and the months of storage. So don't think you will get top retail $ for you item but you will get a fair or better pawn amount. This is what makes pawn shops worth going to. You can get a short loan without credit when you need $ and you don't have to sell things you don't want to. Extremely disappointed in this pawn shop. I had the misfortune of having my wallet lifted in Tacoma, which had two tickets in it. I also received a letter in the mail from this shop informing me that my pawn was due on Saturday. No where in the letter did it state that on this particular Saturday the store would be closing an hour early. I presented at 4:05 as they were ushering everyone out / I got the palm from the gal at the door saying they were closed. I said please, I had not been to the store to see a small note on the door stating they were closing an hour early. Please / I already know I will owe because my tickets were in the stolen wallet. She said no problem, we will take care of it tomorrow for you. When I showed the next day, they said it would be $86 In late fees and lost ticket fees. I said well I was not informed of time changes and I guess I just lost the pawn. They put 1 ring on each pawn, rather than run them on same ticket so I was assessed double late fees and dbl lost ticket charges. The gal said she would forgive $32 of the $86 additional charge. Which is better than a poke in the eye but I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. I thought I should have the $76 late fee forgiven / I was, after all, there on time but they weren't. Suggest you all select a different shop. 11-25-15. Update. Rick from the pawn shop called and was very helpful and said he thought a full refund on late charges was in order. He said I could come in at my convenience and he would take care of that for me and if he wasn't there he would leave detailed info with employees. I intend to remove this post on Friday. read more

I was in Cash America pawning my ring and I couldn't believe the service I had. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted and helped. The young man who helped me was very professional with what he did and made sure everything I needed was taken care of. I also wanted to browse guitars and the same young man helped me with everything I wanted. Although I didn't end up buying one, I felt like this guy knew exactly what he was talking about after showing me a couple of guitars and explaining when and where they were made, how the tone was on them and how they compared to the others out on the display. I have been shopping at this store for the past 5 years. I always love how clean & bright the store is, and always enjoyed working with Debbie & Jamie. Lately, I have come in, and found the Customer Service skills to be lacking. Justin and Jet are ALWAYS great, but the new Caleb guy is not only rude & pushy, he down right makes me feel I need to walk out. If I wanted to be a piece of meat, I would go to a bar. This guy has ZERO personal skills, no customer service skills, and makes it CLEAR he only wants my money. I truly hope that this store can go go back to what I found endearing, and find employees that allow me to shop without feeling I need to make their commission!
