I can't lie, I love Cabela's. I go there for 90% of my clothing. Given the weather and climate of the Pacific Northwest, they offer all the shirts, pants, shoes, and socks you could ever need. The prices are very reasonable. The parking lots are way bigger than they will ever need, and they are patriotic with flags adorning their property for Memorial Day and The 4th. Cabela's has a great selection for folks who love outdoor activities. Great place for selecting gifts for family and friends. I highly recommend this place for almost everything they sell! read more

Gun counter takes forever, they screw paperwork up all the time, and they are condescending. Cancelled a Glock because I got one for a gift, got a plinker instead-- the dude literally laughed in my face and acted like I was pathetic for not wanting the 9mm even though I have plenty. Salesmen don't ridicule customers who are buying the products they sell. That's beyond stupid business practices. Old fat bald white mustachioed man working in the boat section is a total ass. I asked about tandem kayaks and he rolled his eyes and told me they don't make tandem kayaks. I had to ask "then what's in my garage right now?!" Idiots treating customers like idiots. At this point I believe this store is just a way to keep rednecks poor and they treat you like that. read more

My kids love coming here. Keep in mind this review is not about the gun counter,but the shoe and seasonal area. We come here for candies and occasional shoes. The ladies who have helped us in shoes have been so kind and helpful. We also had a great experience with the Santa's Village, there wasn't a line and we had an appointment. My husband says this is the happiest place in Lacey. Will be back for cinnamon bears and root beer candies. read more

Poor service. Gun / Hunting Counter too bad, so sad Cabela's. I travel constantly and have dealt with service counters all across the country, so I know the difference between good service and absolute chaos. And let me tell you--my recent experience at the hunting counter in Lacey, WA? One of the worst I've ever had. I followed every bit of instruction the staff gave at the entrance. Scanned the QR code like a good customer, waited patiently as my name crawled up the queue--15 minutes to reach position one. Position one! And then what? I stood there for another ten minutes watching an employee yapping away in a pointless conversation with a customer while completely ignoring the system that's meant to keep order. When I finally asked another staff member who was supposed to be helping the next person in the queue--me, mind you--they pointed right back at the same employee wasting everyone's time and the company's money. You've got a queue system designed to make the process efficient, and this chum treats it like background noise. It's absurd. When a manager or person "in charge" finally came out of nowhere, and reluctantly asked if I needed help, I told him my name is up and I'm still waiting. At that moment, three other employees appeared and started serving people who weren't even in the queue--effectively bypassing those of us who had followed the system. He assigned me an employee and I was finally assisted. In my experience across the country, Washington is notorious for poor recognition of customers who are standing and waiting--this encounter simply reinforced that reputation. The staff at the hunting / gun counter appear either untrained or unwilling to follow even basic service protocols. A business that invites paying customers but fails to respect their time or enforce its own queue system is doing a major disservice. If you intend to spend money and expect professional, efficient service, this location failed across the board. I wish this wasn't the case because, the Cabela's brand is not a representation of this type of service nor this type of employees vibe. read more

I recently shopped for a pontoon boat and 'landed' on a SunTracker Party Barge from Cabela's in Lacey, WA. . My wife and I took delivery today and still can't believe the exceptional service and attention to our satisfaction. Furthermore, as I just had abdomen surgery and have been instructed to not lift more than 10 pounds for a month I was planning on having my new Party Barge stored at Cabela's. We'll... imagine my surprise when told they could deliver the boat and trailer to my home AND put it in the water! Wow! I was fully expecting to have it stored for a month, however. the outstanding staff insisted on helping me get my boat in the water and so a couple spins around the lake to familiarize myself with its operation and features! After an hour of waiting I became 11th in line. Currently 11th and been here an hour and 20 min. I will never buy firearms here again, and can't really recommend them. Went to Cabelas to buy a pistol. Waited at the counter for almost 30 minutes. There was one customer looking at phone for over 20 minutes and counter person standing there looking at them. Then another employee comes along and helps guy in front of me. OK....thinking my turn .Nope...helps guy that came in 5 minutes ago. I'm like what the crap. Go and talk to employee and says have to enter name into screen at counter to get help. What the f? Would have been nice if I had been told that when I first came in. I ask if he knows how much longer if I put my name in. He says probably another 30 minutes. At this point I am fuming and talk to manager. Don't have time wait around so left. Will go somewhere else to purchase the gun even though not on sale. read more

This is the second worst experience I've had with Cabela's in the last 6 months, so I'm pretty much over them and this location. Why they feel the need to send a handicap person to march all over their store in an effort to get fly line put on a reel is beyond me, but it did affect the rest of my day shopping there, as I no longer had the energy to spend the $700 more dollars I was there to spend. I remember when there were no Cabela's stores in our area, and as far as I'm concerned, there are still no Cabela's stores in my area. Bass pro destroyed cabela and Cabela's reputation as far as I'm concerned. I'm not sure that I'll bother trying to order things online, there are so many other places that are so willing to take my money, and have far better customer service than Bass pro ever dreamed of. I was there to price and purchase overlanding equipment but felt terribly uncomfortable amidst all the pro gun and political tshirts defaming liberals and the NRA paraphernalia and the foaming gun nuts looking for assault style rifles. (For the record I'm fine with guns and responsible gun owners but the obsessive ones I encountered at Cabela's are creepy.) First things first, IF you are going to the gun counter, SCAN the QR code with your phone to get in line. It will take you to their queue website where it will show you where to put your name and phone number and tell you what number you are in line. There are codes/signs all over the counters. Don't get distracted by what you want, stare at it for 20 minutes, start talking to your friend, wonder what all those men are doing at the counter on the left side and skip this important detail. That being said, I'm glad I packed snacks cause it's a long wait. I checked in at around 12:30 and got to see associate Michael at around 1:45. He gave me lots of wisdom and advice that was not condescending. I was able to touch and feel the firearms that I wanted to fit in my hands and he even shared websites and aftermarket information. He was very patient and listened to my concerns respectfully. I will come back, but only when they open at 9am sharp so I won't have to watch a movie or shop around waiting to be seen. I overheard someone being put on the virtual line "you are customer number 16 so feel free to venture outside the store and when you get to be number 3, it will text you to let you know you need to be at our counter." Nice place, well worth the wait for the info given. I can imagine it's difficult to hire folks who have this much knowledge. We are retired military, so I'll be buying my next gun on post. Stopped into browse for some spring wear. First thing we noticed is several guests not wearing face coverings. I asked an associate about the policy and we were told that they do not enforce the regulations as most do not feel it's necessary. It's a suggestion but they will not confront the guest. Amazing crew at the gun counter! I knew I had a difficult purchase because i'm active duty Navy. My orders are super confusing! When my Cashier, Ace was confused about my orders, he asked another worker Charles, who was very knowledgeable about Navy orders. I appreciated him a lot, even in our small exchange. Also spoke to Keira on the phone earlier to discuss all I needed to bring in to purchase a bolt action rifle as active duty. She explained the process to me thoroughly and patiently. I went to Lacey Cabelas for an exchange - 3Pairs of pants - wrong size. It started off with some common sense by one fellow - go pick out the right size. No inventory. Go pick out some pants and pay for the difference. I got 2 pairs. A Cust Svc Lady informed me that my still new packaged pants were worth 9.95 the black friday sales price. I told her my pants were bought on line & 1 was a gift. Cabelas website said closing at 9. It was now 8:10. Tills closed end od discussion. The rep would not look at my online purchases. Purchased a weapon from the gun library, had no difficulty and was very pleased by the employee that helped me then. However on the day of pick up I was helped by Lance who was very condescending in route. It definitely showed what Cabela's customer service training is like & solidified the fact that I will not be purchasing anything further from Cabela's in the future. OK, OK, I gotta admit Cabellas came through!!! I claim to not be a be a big Cabela's fan due to the big store atmosphere and higher prices, but they have a big selection and came through with common calibers of ammo with pre-covid pricing today. I also got to use my points and military discount. I also greatly appreciate the animal presentations. Next best thing to a zoo and my granddaughter has fun looking at the fish tank and stuffed animals. It turned into a very enjoyable trip and have to give credit where credit is due. read more

Decided to finally buy a gun after the 2nd break in attempt in my home & Cabela's made the experience a little less intimidating. I was able to stay within budget due to their prices. Special thanks to Charlie for taking his time & answering all of my questions without making me feel like a burden, even if the guy behind me complained loudly & made an unnecessary fuss due to the wait time. I've been a long time customer of this Cabela's and I've got to say that things seem to have declined of late. actually, since the 2 years of flattening the curve happened. I digress. in reality though, it's not a joke. prices have always been on the high side as it is, after all, retail. service used to be very spot on and associates were rarely in short staff. the little café that was upstairs had some very tasty food albeit a bit high priced for some items. that little in-store eatery is now gone and full of bicycle and kayak stuff. staffing has fell off a bit and there have been times where an associate wasn't close at hand or just super slow to arrive when need arose. I'd sure like to see that café come back and as time has gone on some things have come back into some limited stock (an example would be ammunition) but, I'm unsure if that's just luck when I've found it. read more

These people are great!! The store is absolutely awesome! It's huge as it has 2 floors. With all that room they have so much awesome stuff! Shortest wait at the gun counter than the other locations. Once I found what I was buying they had me all done and paperwork submitted in about 20 mins! Everyone was extra friendly and the selection was impressive! This was my first time in since the merger with Bass Pro Shops. Little has changed. I am always amazed at all the odds and ends for every type of outdoor sport, whether fishing, hunting or camping. One thing I will say (and maybe that is a comment about all outdoor stores like this and REI type places) is how expensive basic gear is. Looks to me like there is a lot of conspicuous consumption marketing. One other comment, I see a trend towards fashion and less functional outdoor wear. That happend to Eddie Bauer 20 or so years ago and not it is almost exclusively a sports wear, not outdoor wear, store (as a former outfitter, Eddie would be rolling over in his grave) But I digress.... read more

Usually try to avoid calling out specific people but I really want to give some extra recognition. Did a 10 mile hike up Ape Canyon yesterday and I needed some new boots. Already a dumb move to pick up new boots before a hike but i Gita say, Ty from footwear was the absolute best. Able to pick out a few different types based on walking style, terrain, etc, and paired them with a set of socks. I haven't really done significant biking in over a decade so needless to say, I was out of shape. By the time we got back to the truck, I was literally asking where to go next. Probably would have were there not other issues unrelated to my feet. But the day after? I feel fantastic. It a single blister, and the Keen's he picked out fit like a glove. So yeah, kudos to Ty for being about the best I've ever worked with when picking up footwear. read more

No employee here seems like they give a f*ck about the job or customers. Moral seems SUPER LOW and we can never get help from the small amount of employees that are in store. Gun counter is the absolute WORST in the area, never answer phones, work super slow and have poor attitudes to customers. Also, the fish in the tank look absolutely sick and on the verge of death. This store is huge! When I was getting ready to visit this area, my chiropractor absolutely raved about this store. I'm talking 45 minutes of telling me why this location is the best around. They were still in the process of building the one in Tualatin at the time. I have to admit, he was absolutely right about this store being better than the Springfield location. The store is far bigger and better. I loved the product selection. I found a pink Nalgene bottle. I love Nalgene bottles just because they are virtually indestructible, and I'm a girly girl, so I couldn't go wrong with a pink one! They have almost anything you could want, guns, camping stuff, furniture, clothes. If it's camouflage, you'll find it here. My favorite thing about this store is the attractions. The fish, taxidermy stuff that are total nature scenes. You have to go through the entire store slowly to take everything in. But it's super cool to show kids and a lot of fun for them. I went in with my mom, nephew and his four kids, and the littles just loved it. They are obviously a busy store, but are very efficient too. They have signs that if you qualify for any discounts, to say so right away, and that helps keep the line moving. Checkout lines are very long, but because of their efficiency, I've never had to wait long. I've never returned anything myself to Cabela's, but I've read a couple reviews that really praise them for standing behind their products. My chiropractor said the same thing, and is one of the reasons he shops here exclusively for his outdoor needs. I have to say, hearing this from both people I trust and strangers alike makes me believe this is a great business just based on their commitment to quality and the fact they stand behind their products. The store itself is great but the customer service sucks. We had 4 interactions with employees that were horrid customer service. "I don't know" or "we don't t have that" then being ignored. Train your employees to be helpful, I couldn't even get help finding a size in a shirt I liked. I asked an employee what XT meant in a shirt and she said "I have no clue" as she kept walking away. Either the morale sucks due to poor training or the management does not know how to manage the store. Get it together! Customer service starts at the top! read more
