They also shared that the employee helping me was in her first week, which gave helpful context to the situation. As a kind gesture, they sent me a $10 gift card, which I thought was very thoughtful. When I came back in to use it, they recognized my name from the situation and took the time to talk with me in person and explain everything again. That really meant a lot and showed how much they care about their customers. Customer service and communication go a long way, and I'm grateful for the way they handled everything. I'm looking forward to continuing to support them. Old review: Melby's has really great drinks and the atmosphere is honestly one of the reasons I keep going back. It's a cozy spot and the coffee itself is consistently good. That said, the customer service can be hit or miss. The employees often come across as a bit unpleasant, which takes away from the experience. One thing that's especially frustrating is their refusal to allow personal cups. Almost every other coffee shop I visit is happy to accommodate this, and it doesn't require much effort, many places simply set the cup on the counter and pour the drink without even touching it. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference for customers who are trying to reduce waste or just prefer using their own cup. He set up me up with a fitting with Ray a few days later. The fitting made a world of difference and I felt like I had a new bike! I had to change saddles a week later and knew it was off just a bit. I stopped in on a ride and Ray spent another few minutes to make sure it was positioned correctly. While the bike business is booming they always seem to make time to answer a question or two or help out when needed. Keep in mind I'm riding a 10 year old bike so I'm not in there throwing money around to get service. It's just what they do. It's great when you find a business that goes the extra mile these days and they do it with a smile and professionalism not always found these days.

The shop failed to mention that the new system would disable this safety feature, and we only discovered the hazard when a friend pointed it out. Overall a great experience, comfortable atmosphere, plenty of seating, and genuinely solid coffee. I stopped in after lunch this time but will definitely be back to try their food next time.
