Doryaneh and Maddy do a wonderful job managing the restaurant and meeting all of the guests' needs. Our table also received outstanding service from Brenda. What a gorgeous establishment inside and outside! This high-end Persian Mediterranean restaurant is a must visit. Had the most wonderful dinner at Caspian on a Wed night at 5:30pm. I was greeted warmly by Maddie. Service was excellent. This was a well paced meal with the best Persian food in SoCal and beyond!!! We started off with their hummus sampler platter. The diff flavors were all so good. We ran out of bread, so we had no choice but to ask for more pita. LOL. Then we had Tahdig with a pomegranate walnut dip that was warm. The tahdig was superb. The inside rice was buttery, soft and fluffy. The exterior had that nice crisp! These smaller rounds of tahdig were so thoughtfully prepared. The walnut dip was slightly sweet, and was a good contrast to all the diff hummus options. Loved this item. Then we ordered chicken koobideh and beef koobideh. Each koobideh pair is sitting on top of the thinnest lavash to soak in all the wonderful juices. Each platter comes with basmatic rice topped with saffron rice and warmed barberries in a beautiful presentation. There were grilled jalepenos and cherry tomatoes. And a small side of that walnut dip. The koobideh's were so flavorful and soft! The portions are huge! Shareable or enough to take home for your next meals. We also ordered shirazi salad. They cut their veggies much larger than other places. But it was made fresh, all the veggies (cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion) were so fresh and tasty. The dressing was light and refreshing. We also enjoyed diet coke, iced tea and hot persian tea (the tea was so smooth and delish) served in a cute teacup service. I also asked for hot sauce and was presented with a generous amount of tapatio and a jalepeno aoili of sorts. Both were so delish and made the food even better. We left happy and most definitely in a food coma! Looking forward to many return visits and to try all their other menu items as well. The interiors are lavish with a modern touch. This May they plan to offer night time hookah outside in their lovely patio. They used to have belly dancing at their other location. I will look forward to that and any other live entertainment. What a night!!!! We just wanted some Mediterranean food and thought we'd give this place a try. The food was amazing; very clean and surprising combinations that made us clean our generous plates. It's a Friday night and they had live ambient music that was loud enough to enjoy yet low enough that allowed great conversation. Then the gorgeous belly dancer came out. Timing was everything. We thought we were done for the night after dinner and dancer, but then a new band came out and dancing started so....we decided to stay for more drinks and dessert. Even the staff were attentive, friendly and felt like family. We even got to meet the owner Esi ("J")! Served Raw Chicken! We have been to this restaurant before. I have taken my family and kids there and chicken is what they usually order. Got to the restaurant and it was not busy at all on a weekend. You would expect exceptional service when there are only 4 tables to service. The opposite happened. I had to walk inside looking for our server after 15 minutes. Only I found her and asked for water, another 10+ minutes go by and we still didn't get water. Again I went to ask for our server and placed my order. I was hoping it would end with the frustration of subpar service. But I was wrong. After eating the first piece of chicken, the texture didn't feel right. I cut open a couple of the pieces and to my surprise they were RAW and uncooked. after chasing down my server again, they agreed this was raw chicken and will make another plate. At that point I couldn't eat anymore knowing that I just consumed raw chicken so I asked for it to be boxed up. When I got the check, I was was still charged for my meal and was given a couple of dollars off of the $30 chicken plate. No manager ever came out to address the issue and the server went home before we can settle the check and another individual settled the tab. To the owner of the place. If this is protocol, it won't be long before someone gets really sick and ends up in the hospital. Where is the management? Where is the customer service? I was excited when you guys re-opened but now I see somethings changed and not for the better. read more

If I had to rate for the decor alone I would give it 5 stars. It is beautiful inside and out. The staff is very friendly also. The food, however, is not that great. We were regulars at the old location and always loved their lunch buffet. We had the buffet here for the first time and we will not be returning. The meat was dried and lacked flavor. The rice tasted old and so did the pita. They no longer have the variety of dishes as the previous location did and there are no desserts. You get a selection of chicken kebab, beef koobideh, shrimp kebab, pasta, and two types of rice. It was very disappointing. read more

Terrible Experience - Poor Service and Food Quality I had an absolutely awful experience at this restaurant. I called earlier in the day to book a table for four for an important business dinner, specifically requesting a quiet table so we could talk. I was told the patio was the best option and she assured me a nice quiet table when we arrive. I booked it for 7 PM and arrived on time. The hostess took us right next to the stage--almost on the stage itself. When I reminded the hostess that I had requested a quiet table, she moved us to the other side of the patio, which was still extremely noisy. To make matters worse, they were out of one of the most important traditional dishes, Ghormeh Sabzi, which was disappointing. The Soltani was by far the worst I've ever had--very little rice, and it was served with berries, which is highly unusual for this Persian dish. No sumac was provided, and I had to track down a server just to get some. When it came time for dessert, we received the menu, but our server disappeared for a long time. I kept trying to get someone's attention. When he finally returned to take our dessert order, I specifically asked for the check to be brought with it. He never did. I had to chase him down again just to get the bill. What should have been a smooth dinner turned into a nearly three-hour ordeal. We started at 7 PM and ended up leaving as they were closing the restaurant. I tried to call the next day, but they were closed for two days with no response. When I finally got through on Wednesday, someone told me they would get back to me and issue a refund. The next day, I received a text saying they take no responsibility because I tipped the server and took food in a box. Do they really expect me to make a scene in front of business partners during a formal dinner? Absolutely not! The quality of this restaurant is terrible, and their service is even worse. They refuse to take responsibility for their food or their awful customer service. I do not recommend this place and will never return. Stay away! read more

Food was phenomenal. One of the best lamb chops I had. Cooked perfectly. Rice was amazing and the sauce was a little bit sweet and absolutely delicious. Hummus was alright 7/10. Tzatziki sauce was 10/10. Cauliflower was decent, nothing special just cauliflower 6/10. Baklava was a no for me. The espresso cream brûlée was absolutely amazing. Service was amazing. Super attentive and knowledgeable waitress. Extremely nice as well. The restaurant was beautiful. Nicely decorated and the entertainment was good as well. As Persians, we have a deep appreciation for high-quality cuisine, and unfortunately, this meal did not meet our standards. Additionally, when we informed the staff that the food was not fresh and that the meat was served cold, our concerns were completely disregarded. This experience was highly disappointing. For the buffet, they had pita bread, salad greens, yogurt, 2 types of rice, red lentil soup, split peas stew, hummus, meatball pasta, french fries, chicken kebab, ground beef kebab and charred tomatoes, grilled chicken, and shrimp kebab. Hubby's favorite was hummus, yogurt, rice, and ground beef kebab. Mine was shrimp kebab, I probably ate 3-4 skewers just for myself lol. Service was great, the staff were attentive. The restaurant was clean and spacious -- perfect for an event! Parking was plenty so it's definitely a plus.
