Let's start with ambiance : I thought it was karaoke night but it turned out the music was coming from a band . If the singer got any awards it was probably from a Bowling Alley . My trip to the ladies room would be a brief escape from the cheeesy music , only to find that they pipe in the singer into speakers that play in the restroom . Lol. So the sound of toilets flushing was momentary relief from my ear assault. FOOD: Meh. Sort of tasteless --about the level of a trader Joe microwave dinner . I got the grilled Mahi Mahi ... might as well call it MEHi MEHI. Drinks : I ordered a Marguerita and wasn't impressed . Small glass , mostly ice and maybe there was 2oz of Marguerita mix in there. If you aren't cool, love bland pseudo ethnic food and and enjoy a loud dining room ... go to Caspian! read more

This is a fun place to bring the family. It is a more international type Persian restaurant. You can get your kebab and also a drink from the bar. We went on a Friday and they had live music and dancing afterwards, all ages got up from their tables and danced on the small dance floor. Outdoor patio has a cute swing chair. read more

This place was dope!! And I don't say this very often, but the chicken kabob was better than the Filet mignon kabob. No joke. And I love Filet mignon, and theirs was really good...I'm dead effin' serious!! Their chicken was amazing!! Ok, I got into it right away. Most of what they offer are kabobs, and I didn't try any of their other entrées, but they have some cool other options as well. But if u haven't had Persian, crispy, upside-down rice (I'm sure it has an actual name), you should come here if for no other reason. They also had a great walnut/pomegranate sauce to put on the rice. Soooo...I didn't have any drinks because...no one else was drinking...they even offered my ballin' a$$ yelpie elite some free red wine...no one wanted to drink, I was driving, and it was my bosses sons bd party soooo...they have a good selection of liquor, i sadly cannot comment on their taste. And it was the end of a long Sunday...SMH...their diet coke was on point. Ask for a lemon wedge...it really enhances the diet coke experience. Ok anyway, the Persian rice was great and given as a starter as well as a side with the kabobs. As I mentioned earlier the Filet kabobs were really good. Super tender, lightly seasoned, and great with the rice. Oh!! And while the appetizer of rice has the walnut pomegranate sauce, the serving that comes with your meal has cooked pomegranate on the rice, which I wasn't sure I'd like, but it was great. The chicken, was on another level. It was the chicken breast kabob. Cooked perfectly, and flavored with just the right amount of spice and a hint of lemon. Put some of the chicken, with some rice, in a pita...mind blowing!! The service was great, even if you don't speak farsi. If u do speak farsi, you and the staff can probably make fun of all the other customers there without them knowing. But honestly, very good service. The decor and ambience was cool, caught me off guard at first. Live music on a Sunday night...and a really amazing belly dancer who also danced with a flaming sword on top of her head...not sure how u get into that specific style of needlessly dangerous dancing, but it was impressive. Adding fire to the sword made a dangerous thing, more dangerous, and I liked that. Anyway she nailed the dance so we didn't have to smell burnt hair. It seemed like we should've tipped her...but it isn't a strip club...but I've tipped some very lazy strippers and this girl danced while balancing a fire sword on her head...I gave my wife a 5 to put in her mouth and see what happens but she declined. I don't know the etiquette of tipping head on fire sword dancing women. She didn't have a garter so I feel like maybe I was right not to tip. Anyway, this place had great food and a fun atmosphere. The family and I have been wanting to come here for quite some time. We decided on a take out order and WOW... it was amazing. I was greeted by friending people and my order was ready and correct. We tried a mezze platter, kabob, salad, soup and a pasta. Everything was terrific. Plenty of bread and sauces to try. Busy on a weekend so make reservations. Server took 20 minutes to acknowledge our table but once she did we noticed she was training a new employee & the service was good. Servings are large although a big portion of the plate is a gigantic helping of rice which is a cheap side for them. The Soltani meal is very good $38. Sadly my salmon was too dry $31. Kinda pricey overall. Bread basket with olives was best value on the menu for $6 & good. Manager came around to check on us after meal. Our biggest complaint was the overhead music on speaker was too loud. Then the live music/guitar player started & it was even louder. I'm not one that ever complains about loud live music but we told the manager. Heaters on the patio so we could've sat out there & it's more conducive to talking. What's with all the silk flowers out there though? Not my favorite & don't think I need to go back but glad I tried it. read more

Food was fine. Nothing overly grand. I will say the chicken kubedeh kabob was well done; tasty and moist. Great ambiance for large groups and celebrations. The music and entertainment was great. Great idea in having a house photographer, BUT I would recommend going $8-$10 per photo. There were 14 of us and we would have bought a lot more, if she was willing to go down from $15, which I think is huge loss in printing all those photos. We bought only a few because she wasn't willing to go down on the price. That's her loss. read more

I came here tonight for my birthday dinner - had no idea this place relocated to lake forest ! I always saw this place near Super Irvine but has been closed for quite some time so makes sense this new location. My sister in law picked out this place since our first visit had way too long of a wait list. I was so surprised at how nice the interior is ! I was not expecting the inside this restaurant. It was a Sunday evening around 7 pm. There was a singer & live entertainment. It was a tad bit loud to where it was hard to hold a conversation but still didn't bother me too much. This was my first visit & my sister in law & her husband have been here before so I knew this was going to be good. For appetizers I tried the vegetable samosas. I usually like chicken samosas as vegetable samosas seem too carby but this seasonings were so on point of these, they were SO addicting & so crispy & crunchy on the outside, just perfect ! The dipping sauce it came with was good, if you don't like spicy, you won't like it. Honestly I don't think they needed the sauce, they were good on their own. I ended up ordering the chicken tender shish kabob so did 2 other people at my table. Glad I did ! The chicken was mildly seasoned, but oh so perfect. Not dry at all ! That's what I like about persian cooking... if you are sick of highly seasoned foods, persian isn't bland but has a unique taste of its own that is more mellow. The basmati rice was perfect with the barberries on top. I loved how a plate of sumac packets were also available. Overall, great experience here. It is a bit pricey, but I'd for sure be back. read more

I had high hopes for this place. My other half made a reservation at this restaurant for my birthday with some family and friends. When we got there we were the first big party seated all together. As we sat waiting for the waiter 2 other big parties arrived after us and were seated to the right and left of us. We waited for about 40 minutes talking amongst ourselves listening to the live music waiting to place our order. We started to notice the 2 parties to the right and left of us had drinks coming out and appetizers, but the waiter hadn't even asked us for our drink, appetizer order or came to check on us yet. The waiter finally came over after we started looking around and at them confused and must have heard us talking about everyone else being served before us. The only reason I didn't ask my party to get up and walk out then was because some of them traveled far to come to this place and I didn't want to have to scramble to find another place to accommodate a group of hungry people, cause a scene or be further upset for my birthday. Thinking positive I also thought they would correct the problem or maybe it could have been an oversight, but we felt purposely skipped over. Once we finally ordered our drinks and noticed the other parties (that came after us) started getting their food and waited on frequently, my father finally got up and talked to the manager who said he would " look into it". The manager pulled the waiter to the side and said something to him, then came over to my dad, apologized and said they would expedite our food. Once or food came out, the waiter ( obviously mad) put my other guests plates on the table with attitude, no eye contact and didn't say a word. My boyfriend was so upset at us being treated like this he lost his appetite. My food came out last and the lady that brought my food out, who wasn't our original waiter was persistent, but by this time I had lost my appetite too. When the bill came, they didn't even comp anything as a good gesture for the lack of hospitality. My dad asked them if they had at least a military discount and they said they didn't, but would give him one and took a whole $5.40 off his meal alone. The total bill was $225.84 . They also took off the birthday cup of ice cream with a candle they offered to bring out because they didn't want us to light a candle on the cake my dad brought to celebrate for me (understandable). We paid the bill and the manager never even came back to see if the problem was corrected. We felt very disappointed, uncomfortable, unwelcomed, out of place and treated as less than. We will not ever comeback to this restaurant or recommend it to anyone. read more

It was the first time we came to the new Caspian restaurant, it was much bigger and more beautiful than the previous restaurant. Upon checking in yelp , we were guests of the restaurant with a glass of red wine. Live music and Arabic dance performance is one of the regular entertainments of this restaurant. The outdoor part also serves hookah and has its own atmosphere. The food was delicious and excellent, and the waiter for our table was very hospitable and pleasant, and he always visited our table to see that we didn't have anything missing. If you like Iranian food, definitely visit here, you will not regret it. Mediterranean dishes are also available. Their service was good. We came back to give this place another chance but it has gotten even worse since going the first time. Not only does this food not meet the standard of the original restaurant but it is not even Mediterranean Food. Not only was the chicken raw in the chicken shish kabob but the brown sauce it came with smelled like condoms. The while it is a nice restaurant, it feels like you're in a hotel conference hall. The music was so loud we can't hear our selves speaking next to each other. They are probably blasting the music to distract people from terrible food and broken dishes they are served on. read more

I bought a gift card at there Irvine location back in 2021. We decide to go for our 10th Wedding Anniversary and they REFUSE to honor our gift card for 100$. The personal who sold us the gift card is the same person at the new location in foothill ranch. We are literally waiting here and she said she contacted the owner but so far nothing. I am super angry and upset not only will they not honor our gift card were just sitting here waiting. this is 100 dollars worth that's a lot to not have it honored. read more
