Soleil and Nick were our servers/bartenders, and they really made our second time here just as awesome as the first time we came in. Super friendly, laid-back, and helpful without being overbearing. They gave us great suggestions--we went with the lamb kabab plate and the veggie plate, and both were seriously good. The flavors were fresh and bold, and the portions were just right. We weren't planning on dessert, but they convinced us to try the vegan ice cream, and it was actually amazing--creamy and not too sweet. The vibe in the restaurant was lively yet relaxed and very welcoming! The yummy food and good service made it feel like a place you'd want to come back to. We'll definitely be back! read more

I was in town for the break and wanted to find a Persian spot when I came across this place. I originally came just for the food--which was outstanding, flavorful, and absolutely delicious--but I was pleasantly surprised by the live music and dancing! I loved every second of it. The atmosphere was lively, warm, and such a great vibe. The customer service was truly 10/10; everyone was incredibly kind, polite, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We were there as a family relatives and my boyfriend. The food was absolutely delicious. We got fesenjoon and gheyme bademjoon as appetizers. It was portioned perfectly because it didn't have meat. Everyone was still hungry for the main dish. We ordered chicken shish kabab and beef sultana as our main dish. Everyone ate everything and no leftover. We have been to Caspian numerous times. The last visit, we ordered the bread and olives appetizer and salmon plate. Also had the hot tea. EVERYTHING we have tried has been fresh and delicious! And the service from Soliel, Jaime, Aldi, Moses, Ali, Maddy and Dory is always impeccable! Everyone is so friendly, kind and attentive. The lunch buffet and holiday buffets are amazing, too! The good: The ambiance is nice. The restaurant is new and beautiful. Very clean inside. Restrooms were clean. The service: Everyone my group interacted with was on top of it, and very pleasant. The yogurt appetizer was very good. The belly dancer was fun to watch, but she mainly stayed over by the front tables. The bad: While the chicken was good, it did come out cold. The vegetable kabob that came with it was overly salty. The beef soltani was, I believe, the most expensive dish on the menu at $41 and it was NOT GOOD. Do not get it. It didn't taste like fresh beef. It had a gross smell to it. The pita bread didn't send fresh, and it was quite hard. Overall: I definitely will not be back and would not recommend this restaurant to my friends. It was fun to come here for the belly dancer entertainment, but the food is so overpriced. read more

Favorite dishes: kashk bademjoon and grape leaves appetizer platter, cold platter with all the dips, bread and olives plate, soltani, koobideh, marinated chicken thighs, lamb chops. Kids meals are well portioned and yummy also. They have live music on the weekends, can get a little loud if you have kiddos. They recommend a reservation but if you come early usually you can be seated with little to no wait. We've come here for several family dinners and occasions and we're always pleased with the service and quality of food! A little smaller than the original one in Irvine and no belly dancers , but that's okay with us since the food and aesthetic is a little more upscale here. They're down the street from our house so we plan to continue coming here for special occasions. read more

I took my mom to Persian Caspian for lunch after her small surgery, hoping for a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disappointment. From the moment we walked in, the hostess greeted us with zero warmth, too busy on the phone to even acknowledge us properly--despite the restaurant being empty. That should have been my first red flag. We ordered appetizers and lunch from what seemed like a regular menu. I chose the chicken shish kebab, while my mom ordered the beef barg. When the food arrived, I was expecting a fresh, hot meal. Instead, I was served cold rice and undercooked beef--completely unacceptable! How does food come out of the kitchen cold? As an executive chef myself, I'd fire any cook who sent out a plate like that. It's unprofessional, careless, and insulting to paying customers. The presentation was also a mess--too much going on. If you're serving jalapeños, ask the customer first. Some people have allergies! And the dolma sitting on a bed of greens? Why? It's unnecessary and wasteful. Keep it traditional! This place needs serious attention in the kitchen and better management. I would love to know who the chef is because they are dragging down the restaurant's reputation. The food was the best Persian food that we ever had! We had the beef koobideh. The beef was tender and moist. The rice was fluffy and fragrant. We added red sumac which elevated the rice to the next level. We also ordered yogurt & shallot which came with pita bread. Our servors, Moses and Brenda, provided excellent service and were very attentive to our needs. Our visit to Caspian (circa , the fullmoon Nov, 2024) Foothill Ranch was really disappointing For many years, I've been a patron of the Caspian restaurant but the new location has reset my impression on this place. Despite having a reservation upon arrival, We were neglected and have reluctantly been seated indoors, on a table of two with no plates. Had we not insisted the indoors, they were ready to send us outdoors) The excitement to watch a mellow music and dance was douzed off by loud guests and crowded seating. When we got seated, the assigned server was seemingly disinterested in serving our order , the sense of inconvenient feeling to serve us was pretty evident. Just when we breathed in hoped to have a bite of dinner and leave, a stale egg plant dish was served to our disappointment. Given the subpar service It is hard for us come back ever again, nor recommend this place , a place that was my favorite for many years!!
