First timer here. Bloody Marys after breakfast next door at the Trading Post. Sat at the bar. Good view of the servers poring soft drinks. Servers seemed a bit stressed...well, only the male server. He was sweating, stressing, and just overall really not doing well. He's pouring ice from a cup into what looked to be iced tea all while holding the cup over the entire tub of ice as tea spilled into the ice. Smh. Joe and I have been staying at Burnt Store Marina since Sept 26th. Cass Cay is a 4 minute golf cart ride since it's on the grounds of the community. Absolutely love this fun casual bar restaurant. Every night they have something going on. Usually live music on Saturday and Sunday without a cover charge. Tipping is welcomed and we'll deserved. The best performances so far have been from solo artist Jaid Joice and very talented group called The kollections. Wow! Joe and I have been beyond impressed with their talent!! On Monday evenings the older folks (mostly) get together for Bar Bingo. Check their website for trivia, karaoke, the Gatlin Show. Basically every night there is something going on that satisfies someone's fancy. Oh my age is showing! Lol This establishment is very active with charity events, especially for the Veterans and their families. We have attended several charity events since we've been here. What a great feeling to be involved and spread the love and appreciation! Cass Cay has a simple menu with a wonderful variety of options. From snacks, salads, sandwiches, soup to hot dinner meals, everything is delicious! To date everything has been delivered to us with complete satisfaction. Located on the Burnt Store Marina with an unbelievable views. Paradise!! The staff is amazing! Very hard working, pleasant and patient folks. Joe and I appreciate all of you for your hard work, we see that you never stop moving and always serve with a smile. A big thank you shout out to bartender Caitlin, you know we love you NY girl! Had lunch here last weekend, had to wait for table as they were short staffed and no one acting as the host/hostess. Beautiful location. We ordered the fried pork dumplings as an appetizer. Waiter came back to table and told us they do not have any. We went with shrimp cocktail, smaller size shrimp just ok. For meals, my wife ordered the baked Atlantic cod, again they did not have any. Waiter explained, they are about to change to the summer menu. My wife then chose the swordfish kabobs with rice, a little undercooked and she only took 1 bite of the rice before pushing it aside. So good! My in-laws live in the area and we were all interested in a big entree salad for lunch. Cobb salad for my hubby and me, I asked for grilled shrimp in lieu of grilled chicken and got BOTH lol. It was fine. My mother in law had the taco salad and my father in law the wedge salad and coconut shrimp. All of us were so happy with our meals and we cleaned our plates. Would def go back. we were a party of 4 it was a Tue early evening. We had the Clam chowder good but could use a little more clams & to be hotter, wedge salad this was a great choice nice wedge ample toppings red onion, grape tomatoes, bacon crumble (could use more always ) nice blue cheese crumbles and the dressing was wonderful!& shrimp appetizer was the other couples they said very good and the salad bed served as an added plus. Dinner was snapper/shrimp special it was my first time having snapper I found it to be a wonderful pick it was light and seasoned well the broccoli side was perfect not mushy or hard and nice butter sauce (more would of been great)to cover all including the rice, hubby had Delmonico steak ( it was cooked perfect which was a nice surprise because the waitress did ask nor did we request so the rare was a winner! with tater tots ordered green beans that were forgotten but supplied at the end to be eaten with out leftovers. 2nd couple had coconut grouper dinner enjoyed very much as well as a burger meal he was happy not much talking was busy eating! Dessert was peanut butter pie (to die for ) and cappuccinos that were a disappointment as they were cold. Service was great out waitress followed us from the bar to the dinner table very nice and attentive sorry to say I forgot her name We enjoyed both sitting outside as well as in the place was not to crowded so things were at a perfect pace for us who were there for the food/drinks and each others company! We are new to the area and wanted to try this place out since it was such a gorgeous day and it's in the water. Although the decor of the place is a bit dated, it was bright and airy. The sever Mike was a delight. Very attentive and really made the best suggestions. My husband had the mussels which he loved as well as the grilled mahi mahi special. I had the mahi mahi sandwich with garlic mayo, lettuce and tomatoes and it was fresh and tasted great. I would recommend this place especially since they seem to have a lot of scheduled events at the restaurant including live music, trivia and kareoke night. read more

We were hesitant to go because of the reviews but it was so close and convenient we decided to try it. Joyful atmosphere with all the locals, great beer selection, and good food. READ BEFORE YOU EVER THINK OF COMING HERE!!! If you see "Ian"- short guy with tattoos on his one arm- leave. He will attack you for any complaints. He also made all 3 of my children cry by attacking my mother, father and I. Awful excuse for a "manager". Had an awful experience tonight 12/28. The food took about 2 hours, and when we had asked for a manager to talk about it, a guy named Ian (short guy with a sleeve tattoo) came out and insulted my mother and father for complaining about the food before coming after me. My mother had told him it took a while, to which he said "did you have a reservation? Who goes out with 7 people without a reservation. We're short staffed, nothing we can do". My dad said "I ran a business for 40+ years, that's no way to talk to a customer" to which he replied "it's 2025". I said "listen, we're not trying to argue bro" and he snapped back saying, 'I'm not your bro'. I replied, "fine, you're not my bro, but we're not trying to argue, we've just been waiting for 2 hours so we're a bit upset" and he said I was a liar and walked away, flipping me off and cussing at me when he got to the kitchen doors. SIDE NOTE: Ian- you're a pansy for doing that. After a few more nasty remarks from behind closed doors, we decided to leave. The waitress apologized what felt like 10 times, saying she was mortified that he acted that way. I told her it wasn't her fault, but coming after my family and myself, in front of my 10, 8, 7, and newborn children, the managers actions were completely uncalled for. This restaurant must be run by Ian's parents or something, because this guy shouldn't have a job. We received no apology and instead were belittled for coming in on a Sunday evening- when they weren't busy- to have dinner. I've never been treated so badly in my entire life. 0/10. Awful food. Sunday Brunch with a marina view. There were breakfast and lunch options available. The food was hot and regularly refilled. Choices: eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs, 3 breakfast meats. Three breakfast carbs, 3 lunch vegetables, chicken breast bites, fruit, dessert. So many options to fill your plate and your belly. Seating inside and outside. Attentive wait staff. I have lived in the BSM community for 8 years and that makes Cass Cay very convenient for us and I have tried just about everything on the menu. It is such a shame that even Tripadvisor rates them (#51) lower on their list than Waffle House, several Pizza places and Linkside Cafe. I know it is just a bar that serves frozen pre prepared cafeteria level food, however It could be so much more with some professional management and a Chef. My wife and I are from New Orleans so we no stranger to great food. If it wasn't for the friendly locals that give them a 5 star rating, there rating would be a 1.5 star. The locals complain the bathrooms & inside dining area smell and the outside tables are dirty and sticky, and they will not eat there. The manager, Cassandra, is extremely rude & vindictive, and the service is poor. I hate to write a negative review but we stopped going there 6 months ago. I would love to see a change of ownership because the current owner has had 4 years to make it great again, but sadly has failed. I will not be surprised if Cassandra responds to this with some false rebuttal. It's her style! But on a positive note the location is fabulous and the water is great! read more

Great Outdoor Space - Worst Service Ever We are new full-time residents to SWFL and are exploring the many dining and entertainment venues in the area. I signed up for the Cass Cay newsletter and am impressed with their entertainment so we wanted to go check out the place and have dinner last Wednesday. We arrived about 7:00 pm and found the main dining room had a show in process so it was closed to diners, but the deck/patio was open and maybe 30% full of diners. We were seated immediately with a great view of the harbor. That's where the 'great' part of this visit ends. For the next half hour plus, we sat at our table, menus in front of us and watched servers and random staff bring drinks and food to everyone around us. The folks across from us enjoyed two rounds of drinks and their appetizers - which all looked good. The diners next to us received great looking dinner salads, ate them, and had their empty dishes taken away and we still hadn't seen any wait staff. We sat, over a half hour, and no service. We got up and walked out, but stopped by the hostess station as we left and told her about our lack of service. No apology, she just looked at her seating chart. My wife and I went there two days ago. Despite it being moderately busy outside, the host was able to see us within minutes, which was very kind for us not having a reservation. Understanding they were busy and looking to be a bit short staffed, we sat there for 30 minutes patiently waiting for a server. Finally, my wife flagged a waitress down and asked is there somebody that is going to wait on our table and the young lady said let me check. Minutes later she came back and said I don't know, so "I'll snag you up". We immediately gave her our drink and food order at the same time, and said she would take care of us. I thanked her. We waited another 40 minutes with no follow up from the waitress for our wine order, nor any water, which we asked for. During that 40 minutes, a group of 4 sat at the table next to us and after 15 minutes of them setting down, they asked our waitress is there somebody that is going to take care of their table, and she did the same thing. "Let me check and I'll find out who is supposed to serve you". Moments later, she came back and said I don't know "I'll snag up your table". They gave their drink order and within 10 minutes, they had their drinks. During our 40 minute wait, I tried flagging our waitress down on 3 occasions and there was no doubt in my mind she was avoiding our table for whatever reason. During that time my wife went to the bar and got 2 glasses of wine. When our food came out about 10 minutes after all this our waitress came up and said is there anything else I can get you. I said yes, the 2 glasses of wine that we ordered 50 minutes ago. She said oh yeah, I'll take care of you and by then my attitude wasn't the best, and I just looked at her and said "I doubt it". She went to the bar and came back five minutes later with our drinks and sat them down and walked away. I have to say we did enjoyed our meals very much. Thank you Chef! The waitress came back with the bill and walked away. No follow-up on how our meals were but by then my earlier comment to her set the tone, which was fine by me. She then gave us a table for 8, but then another waitress made us move because that table was reserved for a reservation (we did try to make a reservationbut the voicemail was full). Then we waited for our waitress to show up. After we asked for the manager, who never showed up. The food took forever even though the place was not full. Our waitress was OK. The food that came out, the fries were over done, the tots had no potato in them. The pickle was completely inedible. All in all the experience was horrible. Slow service, rude, when asked where the salad was after 40 mins of waiting for our meal she says we ordered it with the meal, and got pissy when we told her we ordered it before the meal, like normal people do. She was so nasty that we picked up and left. That was the last straw. We will not go back. Reading the reviews, this is a very common complaint. I guess there's no management. read more

Water side restaurant with a beautiful view and good food. They have a full bar with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu offers a variety of options from fish to burgers and salads and desserts. I had the smash burger and fries it was good. Husband had the Asian shrimp salad which he loved. For dessert we had the Irish cream cheesecake which was outstanding. The 2nd time it was faboulous and my tip would have shown that. Today I ordered a Wedge salad, I was confused if it was a wedge soup salad. I expressed that I didn't like it looking like soup and asked for napkins to dry off some lettuce. The food at Cass cay has always been good. The service is the direct opposite. We have visited Cass Cay on numerous occasions to include their breakfast buffet where service is nonexistent. On the third visit for the breakfast buffet, we had even asked the young blond girl to make sure to come back to refill the coffee which never happened. We have also seen several tribute bands, the latest was to see Lover Boy which was a disappointment. You pay $25 a person to see these bands and after 40 minutes they elect to take 20-minute break for a two-hour show. On this particular evening, we made sure we arrived an hour early to order dinner. Half our party received their meal while the other half had to wait an additional twenty minutes for theirs to come out. The excuse given was the kitchen was backed up. In the meantime, other tables around us that had arrived and ordered after us were receiving their full order. It's been a while since we were here. Probably over 12 years ago, but we're definitely excited to reminisce. As we walked in the dining area, it was quite gloomy and almost stagnant. It must be the dampness of the finished wood interior or the mere age of all the furnishings. While patiently waaaaaaiiiiiiiittttiiiiiing to be seated, we grabbed a menu in hopes of finding happy hour specials, but to no avail. For a cloudy summer afternoon, it would be ideal to be seated by the view of the marina. Unfortunately, all the waaaaaaiiiiiitttiiing got old. Phenomenal food and service!!! We had Christina for a waitress inside seating. We tried sitting outside when we got here but it was by reservations only. When we told Christina, she not only found us the perfect table outside but we had a choice of two different tables. The food is crazy good. Highly recommend the shrimp macaroni and cheese. Superb. How do you rate something or even go to it when the pictures of the menu's are 7 years old and there is not even a dinner menu. Maybe I missed reading the times they are open and they are not open for lunch. I just checked and they are open for dinner but you only get app menus for salads, sandwiches and lunch. The fresh catch of the day does not list prices or anything regarding prep. Sorry I can't go. I give you 2 stars because of the above. Maybe if I get up the nerve to come try your food that may change. But if you don't care about your website I don't think I can care about trying your food and spending my money. read more
