I have always had the best experience with dry cleaning. Great prices, good work, totally professional. But alterations...very very bad. Have taken 2. very expensive items for mending. Assumed it would be fine. One was a very expensive suede coat that was tearing. They patched it with a cheap looking plastic brown something. I was shocked they would even think of using this on my coat. The other item was a cashmere sweater that had torn under the arm. When I picked it up, they didnt fix the tear and all of a sudden there were 10 new holes on the back. I was devastated. For dry cleaning, very good. Alterations...the worst. read more

I have come to Cass Cleaners a few times always for my linens and white garments and I've always left extremely happy. Gets the touches stains out. I'm not sure why there a some bad reviews, but I always leave some grace for bad days/ mistakes. Set your expectations and you won't be disappointed. It does take a few days to a full week to clean, but I'm sure they could accommodate in time of need- I have never needed fast dry cleaning. I would give zero stars if I could! Following on from the other reviews mentioning horrible service - I have never met an owner as rude or obnoxious as the man I encountered today. I nearly left in tears! When I questioned a price he shouted at me, demanded 'what do you want then?!' aggressively and gestured at me. This was all while he remained on his cell phone which he had never left the whole time I was in the store. This is an angry owner who is extremely aggressive... Have given this business a few opportunities to have my business. Quality Assurance is why I rated this so low. I've taken a few items in for simple alterations (buttons, zipper and simple stitching). It never gets done correctly and this last time I was charged for a hem fix and it did not even get done. They boast their alterations and repairs.... Go elsewhere for that. read more

Firstly the dry cleaning is well done and reasonable. My son sends all his shirts there now. BUT secondly, the best aspect is the tailoring/ mending service. This place did a magnificent fix of a totally botched job from a different dry cleaners/tailor. Same price as the botched job but perfect. Absolutely perfect. I've been coming here for years but just this week I dropped off what I thought would be the most impossible dry cleaning job yet. I wanted to wear my friends lime green dress but there were multiple self tanner stains all over the dress. I wasn't sure if the stains would even come out but I know they do an excellent job so I dropped it off and they said they would do their best. I picked it up 2 days later and all the stains were gone! The owner went over it 3 times and was determined to excel and get these stains out. I was throughly impressed- they are the BEST! Now I can wear the dress to the event I'm going to this wknd. I highly recommend coming here and the people who work here are the sweetest people. THANK YOU! read more

I cannot recommend this place more highly! I stumbled upon it at random and am so thankful I did! The owner is so kind, he is cheerful and positive and always brightens my day. The prices are very reasonable and the turnaround time incredible. I dropped something else that I needed for Christmas three days before and he had it ready by Christmas Eve for me. Somehow he works miracles; my white jacket was stained far beyond hope and it came back spotless! I only wish I had before and after pictures to show how awesome they are. Sadly, the MANY BAD & HORRIBLE reviews below are touching on reality. The Owner is not nice or honest or doing good work. He is very GAMEY & deflects simple Qs & even refuses to tell the customer WHERE he cleans the clothes, he wants several days to return dry cleaning & puts them in his CAR to & fro. My last job was a simple Suit dry cleaning with known food drips on coat lapel area, we marked the areas with color tape even. It comes back in 3 days & with the SAME stains, $15. charge too. DO NOT USE THIS CLEANER. They lost my husbands clothes three times! The first time my husband went to pickup his tux before we were leaving town for a wedding and the cleaner had sent his tux to another location to be cleaned. The cleaners didn't bother to call us to let us know so we were super disappointed when we showed up and they didn't have my husbands clothes like they said they would. My husband did not get to wear his own tux to the wedding. Despite this incident, we decided to give the cleaner another chance and continued to support their business. But then the same situation happened with my husbands suit before another wedding and before a funeral. We will NEVER use this cleaner again. read more

Zero greeting when walked in. Had to wait for her to put food down and finish chewing. Was dropping off two dresses for dry cleaning and specifically asked for armpit odor to be cleaned. No response. Yes? No? She nodded. Picking up dresses....No greeting again when in. No words at all. Took dresses to inspect and did not seem clean and armpits were definitely not. Asked why? No words. I asked again and said please explain I need an answer here when I dropped off you said yes you would. She claimed we all have an odor and can't come out. Really? I've used this place three times now for my work clothes and every time they have been able to have my stuff cleaned and ready for pick up the next day. Also, they didn't tell me this until the second time around, but if you pay for your order when dropping them off instead of when picking it up, they'll take 20% off. The only thing I find weird is that there is never anyone there when I walk in and then the guy walks out reeking of weed. I brought in my beige Banana Republic blazer in that my friend spilled wine all over my left sleeve. I was hesitant that the wine stains will come out since it was a beige blazer but Roy took his time and worked his magic like he said. When I came back, I wasn't expecting the wine stains to be completely gone, but it was! It was practically brand new all over again. Wow, Najj is amazing . . . I had a dress hemmed for a wedding and it wasn't quite right. I was on the fence as to whether to have it redone and Najj patiently worked through it with me, until I decided to send it back. Fast forward to pick up day and the dress had not been delivered back to the store. I was going on a plane the next day, so this was terrible news. She finally calls me back and said it was on its way . . . Come to find she had a friend pick it up and deliver it to the store!! ABOVE AND BEYOND to make me a happy customer!! Don't get anything altered here. I went to get some straps put on a dress and the woman measured and agreed to make each strap at 17.5 inches. She said to come back in 2 days. I asked her if she would write down the measurements and she just repeated the numbers. I then asked, ok well do you want my name? She said, ok and then took down my name. When I came to pick it up the day she told me to come back, a man checked me out. They did not have me try it on, so I tried it on when I got home. The straps were so loose that they kept falling down. When I measured them, they were over 20 inches. Worst experience and giant waste of money. The lady who works here is miserable. She seems like she's forced to be here 6 days a week and has a) never smiled and b) never remembers who I am no matter how many days a week I have come in over the years. If you own this place make sure you realize that everyone I know is boycotting this place because of the prices and bad service and also realize that you only get one chance with the locals. In addition, if you take cash only make sure you have a sign that states that clearly and not a non-English rambling on 2 pieces of paper taped by a child on your counter. read more

They really think they can just go ahead and charge 4 times more the other place down the street just because they are that much closer to La Jolla aka the Beverly Hills of San Diego. I usually go to the other spot about two blocks south on Cass st. Here they only charge me around $1 per shirt for your basic dry cleaning. However I was in a hurry so I went here the other day and they charged me $4 per shirt. While it doesn't seem like a big deal in the scheme of things, the plain fact that it was that much more expensive really nipped me the wrong way. I will never come back here again! read more
