Fabulous ! So good we went here twice. Modern Czech cuisine. The beef cheeks on celeriac purée melted in your mouth. The traditional mushroom soup with an egg on top would be perfect for a light lunch. Smoked tongue appetizer with mustard and horseradish added to the soup was a full meal. Lamb stew was terrific, they also make their own bread and sell pastries from a store front bakery. The below street interior is expertly decorated, simple but elegant. Comfortable place to relax after hectic tourist crowds, best meal we had in Prague!

Visited this spring and Casserol might be my favorite restaurant in all of Prague! Ambiance is perfect, service is great, and food is delicious. Would highly recommend.

    Chicken and black lentils. Delicious!

If you've been in Prague for more than a day, you've probably had starchy dumplings and overlooked meat. How about adding some chef's skills to traditional foods? It works here. I mean, you could throw in the towel and eat in the Italian restaurants in Prague. But Casserol makes it possible to really enjoy Czech cuisine, with the potato sides lightened up and the proteins given a contemporary treatment.

Fresh flowers, candle, white glove service- class all the way.

Foodies' Paradise! We found if based off of Tripadvisor reviews. It was a meal fit for a special occasion with very reasonable prices. The mushroom potato soup was great then I had the pork tenderloin. The wine was also very good. The atmosphere was so cool and special. Great place if you would like a modern twist on Czech food!

If you are looking for a very lively place that seats about thirteen hundred guests per day and has twelve tanks of beer, and the beer hall vibe then this spot is most certainly for you. Close to the Old Town square it is not at all touristy, the service is good and the prices are very fair for what you get. K ordered the Goulash, and I had the Chicken Schnitzel along with a beetroot salad to share. The food was plentiful and very good, especially the goulash gravy which was a deep colour that had amazing flavour. The schnitzel was not as big as the plate, but I couldn't finish it. K had a glass of wine and I a beer for about $64 CDN, which is good in Prague. Our only quibble was that the beetroot salad turned into a cabbage salad with horseradish. It was also good, but not what we ordered. We would most certainly come back and endure the half hour wait to experience and enjoy what is a somewhat unique European offering.

I was about to order a glass of wine when I saw the Pilsner Urquell in the three styles. Although the menu did not have the official name, I opted for The Cut (aka Šnyt), which is more foam than beer. For dinner, I went with the Veal & Cheese Rissole. The breading provided plenty of flavor to the veal & pork combo. The mashed potato had a very creamy texture. Unfortunately, the cucumber salad was the least favorite of the three. The shredded cucumber was akin to sauerkraut being drowned in water. I regretfully passed on the dessert. From my vantage point, I could not see anyone ordering dessert. Even more regrettable, before I left, I discovered the restroom was not well cleaned.

Having had just arrived in Prague earlier that day and having cycled 100+ kilometers, I was quite famished when I arrived. I hadn't made a reservation but being a singleton at an early evening hour, the staff found me a table quickly. I started by ordering an alcohol-free beer and then I perused the menu. Marek, the waiter, soon came to my aide and helped me pick out a hearty portion: dumplings, of course! For dessert, I also had another set of dumplings and I loved both dishes.
