Hello! I've worked here for about a year now, and I'll give…read moremy honest review on this place. If you want to know what it's like behind the scenes, this is the review for you. The owners are some of the nicest people. If they ever come off blunt or straight forward its solely because they want the safety of your dog to be a top priority. There's no purposeful harm of dogs that I've seen here. Everyone is very patient and loving with them. Not only that, but they genuinely seem to care about their employees. I've not once felt like a pawn rather than a person here, and I appreciate that as well. I will say we can't prevent EVERYTHING. If your dog is new to kennel environments or gets stressed easy the risk is your own. We can not prevent a dog from licking his paw too much and causing a hot spot at 2 am when everyones supposed to be sleeping... with that said, though, we do try to prevent anything we can because the safety of your dog is the top priority here. I know I've heard a story before that one of the girls working here told me where there were fireworks and she stayed until 1 am to keep a anxious dog company until the fireworks stopped... I can confidently say if we have to, anyone who works here would be willing to do the best for your dog in that type of situation The facility is very clean, it's cleaned thoroughly twice a day AT LEAST [meaning everything outside is sprayed down and everything inside is disinfected as well while keeping the dogs away from anything harmful] I mean the amount of times I windex the sink in a day is amazing... I personally would feel comfortable bringing my dogs here, and I do. What I've seen here when working has always been for the best interest of your pet, even at their own detriment

PLEASE READ, TRIGGER WARNING, ANIMAL ABUSE…read more Please do not take your animals here. About a year ago my partner and I took our two dachshunds here because our regular boarding place was booked. We picked them up after a week, and when we got them they seemed more distant and worn out than ever before. They looked heartbroken. The next day we wake up and our senior dog is covered in his own bloody poop and vomit. He is barely conscious and we rush him to medvet. He had to spend a week in intensive care. They let us know that he has developed an illness that can be induced by stress. 8,000 dollars later and our little guy is ok. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt until I was scrolling through Reddit and saw an anonymous post from an (ex) employee of this place saying that the manager is abusive towards the dogs and has a horrible anger problem. The owner has also apparently threatened this person for talking openly about their animal abuse. I am hoping people will see this review and take their dogs elsewhere.

No, I can't recommend. We recently boarded here for first time after our long time boarding place…read moreclosed. As I was checking our mini golden in another dog came in behind us and took a poop in the floor and no one came to clean it. I remember thinking that poor baby might be sick and probably shouldn't be here. Fast forward a couple days and they began calling my emergency contact because our little girl was sick with something intestinal! I thought it was just related to the food they were giving her since it was a different brand. Our emergency contact lived 3 hours away and we were on a cruise. So she decided to wait until next day and if it wasn't better she would go get her. After a trip to vet we found out it wasn't food related but an intestinal virus that she caught and now she passed it on to her little dog that got very sick. After vet bills, paying for them to board, and expenses of emergency contact I spent more on our pooch than our cruise. I would not recommend using this place. I wish I would have gone with my gut when I saw the other dog poop. Needless to say, I'll be looking at a different option for boarding in the future.

So my wife and I decided to take a long overdue vacation we have recently lost our 13 year old…read morebeagle, we didn't want to leave her being so old and her health was not good. So once she passed we booked a vacation so we boarded our 2 dogs, they have never been seperated as they have been best buddies from the start, so my wife booked the biggest kennel so they could be kept together, she dropped them off separately since we have a smaller car and the boys are larger. So since she set it up as keep them together no worries right? WRONG the next morning (Friday) we get a call as we are driving to Florida, that they found some blood in our labs stool, he was eating and drinking so maybe a little stress, so we continue and say keep an eye and call the vet if things get worse, the next morning we get a call we are in Georgia, they call to tell us they found our german shepherd was found dead in the kennel, they said his stomach was blotted so a twisted stomach, we were devastated, so we call our vet to take care of the cremation of our boy he was 9 years old, in good health he was a sensitive boy, we thought wow things happen but there was no signs of any issues with him, so we ask how our lab was doing they say he is doing well and they will move him up front and give him more attention, well I call later to check on him and find they didn't keep the boys in the same kennel! So our poor boy died alone and his best buddy never knew he died or could have closur, we come home 3 days early we have to ask to have our lab moved to a kennel with a camera so we could check on him. We get back pick up our lab, my wife talks with the manger she explains how pissed she is since we asked for certain things to happen and it didn't which the extra stress could have cause some of our German shepherds issue and could have lead to his death, we are not saying this is the cause of it but it didn't help. The boys were not even close so they couldn't see each other. The manger tells my wife he understands!! NO you don't understand I wanted to know how this happens that we booked this with specific details and that doesn't happen! He said we was going to check into this and deal with it, which this happened 4 days ago and you still don't know, that's BS! I think he thought since they didn't charge us and they paid for the cremation, they were off the hook, my lab is home not understanding where is buddy is and never got to say goodbye and our boy died alone, all because they couldn't follow direction! Stay away from this business

While one of them has always been pretty well behaved, however the younger one was a bolter (I chased him several times - and he's faster than me!). We rescued him, and I'm pretty sure he had run away from a previous home since he already knew sit, down, and crate when we got him. Let me first off express how impressed I was with Terry, his training system, his flexibility in scheduling, and his willingness to answer my questions any time. Between the two dogs, my husband, and myself - I know that I was the hardest one to train in the bunch. ;) Terry came to our home in Worthington and provided fantastic training to both my husband and I, as well as to the dogs. So why 5 stars? Because I can walk my dogs off leash. I can leave the gate open while I unload groceries from the car, and they stay. I can take them places and know that I don't have to worry about Rowdy running away. It has improved their quality of life. Since completing our training, we took them on vacation with friends to a cabin in Pennsylvania. Of the four dogs there, ours were the most obedient, best listening, and best behaved. Our friends were all jealous. At this point, we are able to attend group class whenever we want - and we do drop in from time to time since it's good continued practice for the dogs, and for us! The Sit Means Sit crew have all been an absolute pleasure to work with. On a different note, and on behalf of my friends at Sit Means Sit - I'd love to address Heather D.'s review with a little insight. The trainer that she worked with is no longer on staff. She clearly screwed up, and tried to hide her mistake. She never alerted the owner to the situation, because she was hiding her error. I'm very sorry that Heather had a poor experience, but would like to say that Sit Means Sit should not get a bad reputation due to a former employee who made mistakes. The company is solid, the current staff is fantastic, and the result is amazing. They do care about and value their customers: both human and canine alike. If you love your dog, and are considering doing some dog training to improve their behaviors, Call Sit Means Sit. They totally changed my relationship with my dogs - and their quality of life.

I am not a "disgruntled" employee, I quit on my own terms respectfully. After DELETING my review on Google, I will turn here. If you care for the safety of your pet, please read the following.. Ever since a switch in management, both the RM and GM only care about money. Your dogs are not safe. The reason this location keeps ratings up is by reviews by employees and management themselves, which is deceiving and frankly, quite pathetic and sad. My OWN dogs were boarded here over the summer. My epileptic dog was not given her lifesaving medication because it was just placed in her food bowl (she doesn't usually eat at PS). The next day, my other dog was fed surrounded by her sisters diarrhea from the previous night. As an employee, I witnessed so many dogs come down with illnesses that were not disclosed to owners. One dog was leaking diarrhea constantly and the GM, Nickole, would not allow it to go to the vet unless it also vomited. Groups are always over the ratio of 25:1 which not only puts your dogs in danger, but also us as employees. Please exercise caution if you choose this awful business. Go to other locations or better yet, find a local small daycare
