Kris is amazing! Found this place on accident- I was having dinner with a friend across the street at Fresh Kitchen and decided to come in and check out the studio. Everyone here is always so nice! They take walk ins, so we went ahead and got on the waiting list. Paperwork was quick and easy! They take cash or debit cards for payment. I asked Kris for a very basic palm tree and he made me the most amazing palm tree! The little line details in this are absolutely amazing. They wrapped it before I left and that stayed on for a few days (per instruction) and then I moisturized it frequently until it was totally healed, about 6 weeks later. Plus he only charged me the shop minimum- $60! I always recommend Kris at Cast Iron to all of my friends looking for a great tattoo artist. I went in for a walk-in tattoo. The place itself was very clean and had really cool artwork. Lance one of the owners was the one I spoke to. He was so friendly and helped me narrow down to a specific font and sizing and was so understanding about my indecisiveness. I've always made this the spot I go to for my piercings (had about 4 piercings done here) because I've had great experiences with Ray and advise all my friends to check them out, especially for their Tuesday special. Since we're in uncertain times, I wasn't sure if they still offered the special and decided to call in before heading there to double check. The boy (I say this because his lack of professionalism and his immaturity) who answered the phone off the bat gave me snarky attitude when I asked if they still offered it. He kept saying "well what do you want to get pierced?" in a demeaning tone, my friend that was in the car with me even looked over and mouthed "wtf". A simple answer to a customer asking that question would be: "we offer $xx for piercings that do not include xxxxx", NOT "well that depends on what you want?" in a snarky attitude. Great, clean, laid back shop. They will be fully honest with you about what may or may not work even if that may feel like they're being dream assassins. If im going to pay money to put something on your body permanently I rather have someone tell me the truth rather than just bs me and then I end up with a crappy tattoo that won't last. i will never go here again. i have many tattoos and have never had an experience like this one. i went in for a tattoo that is maybe 2 inches in size and was told by many other people i was overcharged. as stating that i've gotten many other tattoos much larger than this one i know how to care for a tattoo and never got an infection. but with this tattoo it looked as if after one day it was already infected. half of the ink completely fell out within a week and chunks of my sun as well. upon speaking to many other artists, the artist that did mine has a history for his work being infected!! a $120 tattoo has now turned into $900 worth of tattoo removal and antibiotics that i had to be on because the infection was that bad. i wish i would have known this before going there. read more

Hi. Went to get piercings....of the nips!!! I was a walk-in. The owner was there I could tell from previous pictures on here. Anyways, I had a short wait Bc 2 ppl were ahead of me. The place looked clean, spacious & I couldn't see anyone actually getting tattooed Bc of the privacy areas so that was also a plus! The owner greeted me nicely & took my info. Then I met Ray. He was the piercer, the got damn man! I was so nervous y'all. I tried not to hyperventilate but I kept shaking my legs. Anyways, we went behind a black separater, I showed him the goods and he tried to calm me down. He gave me a squishy ball but I ended up grabbing the arms of the chairs. He took his time marking, wiping & remarking all while answering the same questions he must get a million times a day. Lol!! I really liked his energy & the fact that he seemed like a perfectionist. So the piercings went smooth! He had me take a deep breath & poked!!! I was calling Ray name like he was my man y'all . It hurt yes, but he was smooth & quick Thank God! long story short. I wanted a rose on my back with a black outline recommended by the owner, so the tattoo wont fade. He paired me with Kelly who forgot to even add the black. The tattoo looks horrible and the rose turned into a giant scab that now looks like a wound on my back. I walked in trying to get jewelry I was asking questions about selection and the guy was rude over the phone and said to ask the piercer when he's done so I come in to speak with the same person I guess who says he's gonna grab him because he had absolutely no idea how to help me ... or what your typical nose jewelry looks like ... ok then the piercer comes out and being very snarky as well I'm asking if I could take a better look or if he knew what size the ring where because I was pierced with a smaller needle and some jewelry don't fit it was obviously different sizes but I wanted a better look when he just reiterated that they are the same size but couldn't tell me the size gauge of the jewelry??? A professional piercing can't tell me the size of jewelry ???? I second that! Lance is the man, the last couple of weeks I had 2 piercings done by him and had a couple of friends come to him as well. We were happy with his service because he makes piercings such a smooth experience lol. His work is very accurate and he always ensures the needles are super clean. For those who get ongoing pierced fans who are trying to stay away from those piercings artist that don't measure out the work and do a sloppy job. I recommend Lance! Do not go here for a piercing. I went in on Tuesday to get my septum pierced and not only was the piercer an A-hole, he pierced my nose CROOKED. I should have known something was up by the terrible faces he made at me right after and by the fact that he didn't charge me for the other jewelry that I bought. I got home and noticed it was SUPER crooked and figured I would give it a few days to heal up because maybe my nose is swollen in a weird way. Four days later I am in no pain whatsoever and the swelling is gone and it's still insanely crooked so I went to a different piercer to look at it and he literally said "wow this dude did a terrible job basically you have to take It out and let it heal and get it redone" Not my first septum piercing, I've had it pierced once before and it has been closed for a year and a half. I have several piercings and never had a worse experience Terrrrrrrible attitude and he did a horrible job Like I feel like he didn't want to pierce my septum so he rushed and was a super douche and did a terrible job which is a miserable work ethic and I sincerely think anyone who wants a piercing should go to someone who cares about their job. Just got home from getting my nipples pierced, and I had to run to my computer to put up a review! Ray was the greatest, he helped coach me through the experience (as I heard it would be painful, I was nervous). The one thing that really stood out is that he really took his time making sure the markings were even and level before starting the piercing. I've been to other places and they didn't put as much care in as he did. Very professional, I absolutely recommend going here! Stopped by with my wife to get a memory tattoo to represent Pulse Orlando. We didn't got to Trinity Tattoo because the line was so long that is wrapped around the building although the tattoos they were offering were $50 and the money was being donated to the families and victims of the Pulse Orlando shooting. So although I think my tattoo is ok I think it was over priced and it sucks they just didn't donate the money being that a lot of people kept walking in to get the same tattoo. They charged me $80 and my wife $80. I think my wife's was worth $80 but not mine plus my tattoo is not super great because (it's a pulse) the lines don't really connect and it already looks faded and I just got it. Years ago maybe like 15 years ago I got a tattoo and it was great it still looks great but this place for wack. Dropped in for a nipple piercing today after reading through various body piercing studio reviews and had an overall great experience at Cast Iron Tattoos- from the start, the guy at the desk was very friendly and courteous in going through my requests and taking my information. Waited only about 20 minutes for Lance to free up (I was a walk-in), but the studio and waiting area was very comfy and clean. As for the piercing, I couldn't ask for a better experience- Lance was friendly and professional, and did a great job on my new piercing :) the nipple piercing was such a breeze I asked if while I was here he could pierce my inner ear cartilage (actually a bit more painful IMO)- and he kindly accommodated.
