Food is good here but best to go during the week. We went Saturday night and it took almost an hour to get our food. I ordered the smash burger medium and it came out well done. The potato tots were over cooked. The mozzarella wedges came out after our meal. Service is good but the waitress kept apologizing for the delays in the kitchen. The food was of the lowest quality. I ordered what I thought would be a safe bet, a double cheeseburger. It was two, two-ounce patties cooked very-well done and completely flavorless. It was served with 4 cups of kale salad. I will never go there again. Trader Joe's across the street has excellent food. The waitress, who tried excruciatingly to keep her composure, was not surprised at my reaction. However, when the bill came, I called her out on the bottom line. We had a $30 gift certificate, and when she subtracted that amount from the total bill, what was left would have cost us the same had she not deducted the $30. I asked for an itemized bill but she could never produce it. She came back with an adjusted bill that was suitable, but was not worth the quality or the quantity our purchase. Gave this place another try. I sat at the bar since I had the day off and wanted a burger for lunch. Burger was good, fries came out cold, but server happily had the kitchen make me fresh ones. Kitchen was just too slow again. My guess, is they have a small kitchen and it just can't keep up with orders even though they didn't look busy.. Came by today for another visit. It's Sunday mid day so there are more ppl than our last visit. The walleye sandwich was calling me. My side was a salad with house made honey balsamic vinegar. Yum. Hubby got the Italian sandwich with spuds. We should have split because the size of each was more than we could both eat. We brought home half our sandwiches for lunch tomorrow ! We went for a wmms event and let tell you... this place was "lit" (as the kids would say). Live music, on the river and tiki esque vibes. The service was great and the bar tenders attentive. Didn't end up eating but from what I saw the food looked good. If I lived on the east side I'd definitely make this a regular place to visit. read more

The Ambiance is very family friendly and feels like your at a cool tiki oceanfront restaurant. The views of the river are amazing the music is a cool treat. The food is amazing we had lunch there on Saint Patrick's day and the corn beef was the best I have ever ate in my life. The staff is super friendly and the service is fast. The patio is the best of the east side they have a tiki bar on the patio as well. Definitely do not miss this spot and I love that it's a cool waterfront place that the whole family can enjoy! Menu was interesting and I would've stayed had they had some rum. Hey castaway's Mount Gay Rum and boats/water are a staple. Your rum selection sucks. Capt Morgans is for people that have no taste buds. Even Meyer's would've kept me there. Pussers? Ever heard of a Painkiller? Alcohol compliments food, you need a beverage manager. Man, even some Black Seal and gingerbeer (Dark & Stormy) would've been a keeper. Ever been to the east coast, the Caribbean? A yacht club? No wonder Lake County has only one decent restaurant. We went there last night which was a Tuesday. Considering it was hazy due to Canadian fires and rainy it wasn't very busy. With this in mind we ordered mussels and a basket of "hand cut" fries. It took 40 minutes to finally get food. The mussels were spoiled and the fries weren't hand cut. The girl who waited on us has no idea what customer service is and shouldn't be serving anyone. I'm sure it's a great place to drink on the River but don't expect much on the food side. It's wayyyyyy underwhelming. Anyone giving this a 5 star is most likely friend or family. Good food great location I had the river dog with prime rib chili onions and cheese the other day that was excellent definitely getting that again . Also they have a small breakfast all day menu I get what they call Just breakfast basic eggs cheesy tots toast and instead of bacon or sausage I add the steak with sauteed onions and mushrooms really good anyhow that's it give it a try . read more

My family and I have been here several times. We have always enjoyed it. The view of the river is beautiful and the boats! Quite a view we have, a hidden gem in Lake County. It's has a cozy feel with the patio being surrounded by trees. You feel like your on vacation there! Especially with the great white shark hanging on the wall, fun for pictures. We have always enjoyed our meals and they are reasonable priced. The service has always been good. This is one of my favorite places to go, I would highly recommended it! read more

What a total waste of our time & money. Seated ourselves to a table that had not been bussed yet but seating was scarce, so we took it. Waited about 15 - 20 minutes before I walked inside to the bar to get drinks myself. If we weren't meeting people there, we probably would have left. The bartenders had no idea what they were doing, ordered a margarita that had to be made 3 different times before he gave me a sub par version of what he thought was a margarita (ended up not drinking it) The other bartender had no interest in anyone other than the 3 guys she was flirting with while shaking her chest at them. Extremely unprofessional. It took 35-40 minutes to get our food once it was finally ordered. The salad was served in a basket with a piece of wax paper on the bottom of it. Certain things can be served in a basket but NOT a salad. Took another 20 minutes to get our checks after we asked our server for them. Don't waste your time or money. read more
