This has become my favorite resale store. I had heard about Castaways when it first opened, and sadly I put off going in until this weekend. Never again! I have told my co-workers about this place, and am looking forward to wearing all of the wonderful things that I bought here in the next few days. It was such a great experience, that my husband even found a nice dress shirt and some Sketchers tennis shoes for himself. The items here are of great quality, and the pricing is SO low. I found two pairs of heels (one of them was a brand new pair of Vera Wang!!!), and some really comfy shoes for every day. I found four pieces of vintage jewelry to add to my collection, and a pristine Corning Ware casserole dish with a lid. Everything came to right around $50. What a deal! It feels like you are shopping at a cute boutique rather than a resale shop. It is beautifully put together, and is an enjoyable place to shop. read more

What a great Resale Shop. While in town for the weekend we stopped here to check it out. The place to so big and so many different items. We weren't too sure of the price of some items but everything was very reasonable that we got. There were so many books too! Wow, we paid 47 cents per book. . Guess they don't have folks come in and clean them out only to sell higher online. My husband found four Nikon Christmas pattern plates for four dollars and now we have enough for extended family at Christmas. We look forward to returning the next time we are in town. read more

My good friend had told me about this resale shop and we were in the neighborhood and stopped in so I could check it out. She said it was quite a bit larger than when last she shopped here. I was impressed with the amount of clothing they had and the quality for the price was really good I thought. I always spend most of my time checking out books and the selection was pretty darn good, found a couple of nice inexpensive art books. Friend bought a very cool original piece of framed art & lots of clothes. Nice vibe here with the music which was current mostly, have to say I could have done without the religious ones they played, not a fan of Christian rock but loved the current music which makes me want to stay and shop. Customer service here and organization cannot even be considered civil. The registers are always overwhelmed, the staff is always bitchy, items on the floor aren't marked properly, and there's no one in the floor to ever help. Beyond that, store management is completely unconcerned, and even attributes to, the shit show that is this store location. When I tried to complain about her staff's gross miscommunications about price, she shut the door in my face for saying the word bullshit. You all fully wasted my time and energy to purchase furniture, and treated me like utter worthlessness for zero reason. I will never shop or donate to you again. Goodwill or Savers are less than a mile away, and I'd rather go there- never had a problem there with any of their customer service/organization/clear prices. read more

This store has listed itself as a consignment store. It is not. It is strictly donation and sales. The same as Salvation Army or goodwill stores. I looked up consignment stores to sell some furniture and made a trip there with my things only to find out they only take donations. Not happy. read more

This thrift store is a gem! It was complete accident that I stopped by this store, but I have no regrets. First impressions: clean, organized, and CHEAP. It was so refreshing to come to a thrift store that doesn't make me feel overwhelmed. They have such an amazing collection of house items and shoes. The clothes are organized by price and type. I fought loafers for 6 dollars and a turtleneck sweater for four dollars! I would have bought more but didn't have enough time to look more. Definitely will be back. Parking is amazing and tons of space. The staff is so friendly! There are discounts on certain days so stay tuned! The fitting rooms in the back are clean and spacious. You can also donate things to the store. They don't take mattresses though. read more

Always finding great deals and nice stuff here. I love that they support prison missionaries with this store. They remolded last year (2017) and have a very spacious and clean interior. Things are nicely organized and easy to find. The beauty of thifting is you never know when you'll find that "super deal". Nice store that gives a decent portion to charity and helps support the community in a lot of ways. I didn't buy anything the first time I was here but have seen lots of things I WOULD buy if I could fit it in my suitcase for going home from visiting family here. A really wide selection of items though that keeps things interesting. There seems to be something for everyone here. read more

This place is AWESOME! I've driven by quite a few times and always remember it's there once I am past the center. I've been meaning to stop in for quite awhile now, and finally made it in today. It's rather large, and everything is very well organized. There are housewares, purses/shoes, sports equipment, clothes of all sizes and styles, and furniture. There is also a room dedicated to books/cd's/dvd's, which is probably the most organized I've ever seen at a thrift store. I am not sure why anyone would say that this place is over priced. That couldn't be further from the truth. We found everything to be reasonable, and they reduce things even further as the week goes on (today the blue tags were 50% off and the black tags were 75% off). They also offer 40% off to those with a valid military ID on Mondays and a senior discount for those over the age of 55 on Wednesdays. I discovered today that the staff are all volunteers, which is awesome, because you know that the money from sales is going to the cause, not to overhead from paying employees. The sales are also all tax-free, since this place it a charitable organization. They are associated with Central Christian Church, so some profits go there to help the food bank, and others provide counseling and work training to those in prison. There were lots of great items, of good quality and we found a few things to buy. Both my Mom and I decided that it was the nicest, most organized thrift store we had been to in quite awhile. read more

I was having excellent thrift karma today so I decided to stop in after my mom told me I would like this place. And she was right! As soon as I walked in there was an adorable "shabby chic" chair calling my name... however I didn't think I'd be able to fit it in my little compact car. The space is small and well organized, but somewhat cramped. I had a hard time maneuvering around without bumping my huge purse into the racks, or other customers! They have a wall of t-shirts for $2 each, a huge display of folded jeans, and a nice selection of shoes and knick-knacks. I didn't find as much as I would have liked, but I was able to leave with an awesome new-with-tags leopard print cardigan for $10 (the original tag price? $50!) The cashier was incredibly friendly and overall it was a really nice shop, and I can see myself finding a gem or two here in the future. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. read more

Really impressed with this thrift store. I only recently started going here, since it's right by Savers. The prices are great and they have some really cool, unique items. Last time I was here they had about 20 sets of brand new tea lights from Ikea. Another time I found a brand new pair of heels for about $4! They also offer a discount if you follow them on Instagram. The only downside is that their back rooms are kinda just thrown together. Items are on the shelves, but not in a way that I want to go and look through them - it just seems like something will break. I look forward to returning and watching this store grow with new items! read more

Bought a 5 piece furniture set here at a very good price, the staff was reasonable in setting a price for the whole set since all pieces were individually priced. Staff was also a great help in helping us load into the U Haul the next day. They have a rewards system and I will be back soon to spend my 20% off! read more

I noticed the sign while driving by and decided to stop in. The store is beautifully decorated to look like a charming shop, not a thrift store (+1). The racks were placed close together and the children's clothing options were few (-1). The staff was friendly (+1). It was a pretty small space and didn't have a whole lot to choose from (-1). I found out that the back wall has little rooms (room of books, room of toys, etc.) so I decided to wander in there and I found .... I found ... a large safety glass mirror for $6! Score! The prices are okay ($2 for 0 - 12 month onsies) but not exceptional. As you can tell from my review it's not a great and it's not bad. If I'm in the neighborhood again I'll check it out. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but it's on my list of thrift stores in the area now. Happy thrifting! read more

Second time I've been here. I took my HUBBZ here today and it's small area but has more of a furniture/large pieces selection than savers. If we had a larger car I'm sure we would've walked out with new furniture pieces for our newly moved into home. I've came to castaways a couple times now. Two days ago I found just the most darling cowgirl boots I've ever seen. One of them was Italian & the other pair was Guess.The price was a bit much but then I realized they were 75% off! I'm extremely happy I found some cute boots for the summer. I thought that castaways wasn't going to have much but I've been popping in a little more often now and I'm finding just the cutest things! This place is amazing. My wife and I are always looking for good deal and castaways has come through, more than enough times to validate this review. They are always friendly, their store is the cleanest second chance store around. We always make it a point to always stop in there and look to see what's new and it never disappoints. We find something that is such a good deal at least 75% of the time and brag about that "come up" for weeks on end. Definitely recommend going and checking them out. The store is clean and so well organised I enjoy shopping there before retail stores :) The prices are very fair, with special tag prices of 50% - 75% EVERY DAY....with Senior Day on Wednesday giving 40% discounts. We were told that we would be trespassing if we didn't leave your business without any reason given to us. We were told it was your orders, yet you didn't have the decency to take this up personally with my sister. It took us calling the police to your store to find out why you didn't want our business and it was all over my sisters card being declined last time we visited without her knowledge. We felt completely humiliated, I do not respect the way you've handled this situation as an owner. We are customers who have supported your business for a while and have spoken so highly of your store to many people. We are PAYING customers. You treated us like felons tonight for a situation my sister was completely unaware of and no one wanted to explain the situation in order for it to be corrected. We spread the word about your friendly employees and how nice your store is and this is the treatment we get over something this petty and fixable.
