Julio and his father did an amazing job on our backyard! We pretty much had a square of rubble and dirt left over from a swimming pool that was taken out and we wanted to do something simple and clean. We explained our vision and he was able to break down cost and timeline very simply for us. They did the demo work since we had the edges of the pool left over and laid out and put in a clean lawn of grass, bordered it with disintegrated gravel and planted flowers we chose. Castillo Landscaping completely demo'd a house I inherited that had been neglected for decades. After removing tons and tons of old concrete, roots from old trees and just and ton of old landscaping materials, Julio and his team worked miracles to make the yard beautiful again with all new sidewalks around the house, dry creek beds, mulch, rock and lots of grass irrigation and drip. Castillo landscaping did a fantastic job on our backyard. To start it was a wasteland of gopher holes, half dead grass, and an empty planter. They removed all grass and excess dirt, leveled the entire yard and installed gopher mesh to keep the little buggers from coming back. They did complete sprinkler system and laid down sod after that. They also planted trees and added the border and stone to our fire pit. Long story short - the Father and Son team are great to work with. Julio and Julio Jr put down sod in our yard last fall. We got several different quotes and they weren't the cheapest but we felt they would do the best job. A few other people tried to either sell us things we did not really need or offered us the cheapest product without even suggesting other options. They completed the work quickly and on time. Went above and beyond. And when a small patch of our sod died due to a sprinkler issue, they were out in days to replace it. Julio Castillo and his son did a real nice job on our citrus trees. I had three overgrown citrus trees crammed into a small area. I wanted the dead wood cut off and the branches thinned out so that air could blow through the trees. I contacted Julio's to give me a price to do some yard cleanup and honestly was concerned on what could be done to clean up the mess we were looking at since the yard was in such disarray. They showed up, cleared all overgrown grass, leaves, branches, etc as well as trimmed the plants to look nice and healthy. I cannot say enough good things about Julio and Castillo's Landscaping. We recently decided to sell our home and our backyard needed a face lift. Our dogs had destroyed our old grass, plants and trees were overgrown and the sprinklers needed to be fixed. I left messages for several landscapers and Julio was the first to call me back. He came out almost immediately to give an estimate and he was very fair and reasonable with his price. We were on a tight deadline and Julio and his team got it done very quickly and with time to spare! I am so impressed with our new backyard it almost makes me not want to move! Also - just days before the photographer was set to come, our usual landscaper quit on us without warning, and Julio was able to come out and clean up the front of our house as well. Julio and his team were excellent. I called and Julio arranged to come over for a free quote and was on time. His price was fair (low end of mulitple bids) and I liked the professionalism and knowledge he displayed. They arrived on time and performed the job (mulitple tree/brush removal in backyard) as promised and were very diligent and thorough throughout. They removed all of the stumps and removed all traces of roots. His team even washed the sidewalk down and the yard looked cleaner/better than when they first arrived.
