Amazing every time!! Love that they keep adding to their menu! Enjoy their food and coffee every time I come! Staff is also very friendly! There is only street parking, but can usually be found easily!
Solid spot for food, but drinks were meh. Nice studying spot - spacious with an upstairs level. - Grapefruit Mint Lemonade $6.5: fizzy and bitter. Little to no minty-ness. - Mango Hibiscus $6.5: can't rly taste mango - Duo Matcha $7.5 - more sweet than true earthy matcha taste, prob wouldnt get again - Rose tteok $19 - served piping hot from the pan. Tteok is perfectly chewy and fish cakes are sizeable and thick! Would get again. Not spicy for family who can't handle heat. - Truffle parm fries $7: tasty, though I wish they were served hot hot. They were just warm but still crispy tho - tuna crispy rice $13: also a banger! Tasty and sizeables pieces and rice had a good crunch without being too hard Definitely a pricey spot but for the food + studying vibes without being overly crowded on a Sunday evening before closing - I'd come back! Parking isn't that bad. There's usually street parking in front or the lot a few min down the street.
This place was good but not the best if you are looking for some good matcha. There's other matcha places nearby that are way better and worth the price. There is a lot of seating if you want to enjoy your food and drinks. Staff was nice. My wait time for my drink was around 10 minutes which isn't too bad. Around 3 pm they weren't that busy on a week day. I ordered a matcha latte and it was okay. It didn't really stand out to me but it was still good and enjoyable. It was too sweet for my liking and that may have been my fault for adding honey. I don't think I would be going back but it was nice to try.
The atmosphere was really cute (inside) but unfortunately the drinks did not match. I ordered a butterscotch iced latte and a biscoff iced latte. Both had zero flavor, arrived room temperature and were poorly made. The hot espresso was clearly pulled directly over ice instead which caused it to melt and make the coffee extremely watery. Customer service could also be improved. Overall, will never go back. There are plenty of other delicious coffee shops (with better parking) than this one.
Parking: This Cafe is off Reseda not too far from CSUN. There is no dedicated parking lot that I know of. If you cannot get street parking in front of the cafe, you are better off parking in the Harbor Freight parking lot off Nordhoff and taking the 2 minute walk. Yellow House is nestled between other small businesses but you won't miss the entrance as it is highlighted by a big yellow wall. Ambiance: The exterior of the building almost plants the idea that the cafe will be small, but once entering the building you get a different feeling. The interior is spacious even having 2 stories. The interior exudes a calm, cozy, minimalistic feel. It really does feel like you are walking into a warm inviting yellow home, albeit a little loud and busy. There is a good amount of natural light coming from all the windows and depending on the time of year, they also decorate for each holiday. Drinks: We have gotten the tiramisu iced latte, creme brulee matcha, Earl grey Matcha, and Strawberry matcha, and sea salt caramel americano. Order all drinks half sweet or you'll get a cavity- heed the warning of this tooth fairy. But in all seriousness, their drinks are SWEET so be aware. All of the drinks taste like what they advertise though which is amazing! If you're looking for top tier matcha quality this isn't the place, this isn't Rocky's matcha but if you're in sheer desperation and ache for some green drink derived from leaves, it'll work. Service: Everyone is nice and the drinks come out pretty quickly considering their crafted nature. Overall: There's a reason we keep coming back! It's reliable, has lots of cool varieties, and consistent! Although I will say a bit overpriced, but that seems to be everywhere these days so eh.
Super cute cafe with a great variety of drinks and food options. This is definitely a college hangout spot and perfect for getting work done. They have plenty of tables on the first floor and more on the loft. I got the ube cold foam matcha and it was delicious! Can't modify the sweetness but still great. If you want oat or almond milk it's a 50 cent surcharge. Parking is a bit tough on the street!
I've never been so excited to try out this yellow House café. After hearing for months and months on my TikTok to check this place out, I finally caved and let me tell you it did not disappoint. Yellow House Café is so cute and charming. The staff is super friendly so easy-going. They have so many options a varieties of coffees and lattes that you can have and it's so spacious. I think I went back two times and both times it was delicious. The good thing is that they open early so you can always grab a cup of coffee on the way to work or any rendezvous, though I do want to say that parking can be a little bit difficult if you're heading south on Reseda then it may be a little bit more challenging then if we were heading north. I would recommend their pistachio latte. It's so good.
Stopped by Yellow House with a friend and we had a great time. We ordered a Rose Tteokbokki, a Chicken Katsu Sando, and I got a Crème Brûlée matcha while my friend got a Cookie Butter matcha. The food was great! You go up to order then find a seat. The staff was friendly and we got our food and drinks in a timely manner. The ambiance has more of a cafe atmosphere and there were lots of students studying since we were close to the local college. Would come back again!

Yellow House is such a gem in the northridge community. In a lot of cases you have coffee shops that do great coffee but poor food. In other places you have a great lunch spot but does poor coffee. At Yellow House you get both in one convenient spot! The service is attentive and friendly and the ambiance is that of a moderately noisy coffee shop. Whether you are doing some dine in or to go, I wouldn't miss Yellow House. Tip: Parking is tough on the street. Harbor Freight down the street made it easy to park and get back to the restaurant.

Came around opening time on a Friday, and luckily it wasn't too busy. I know this place can get pretty busy with students in the afternoon/evening. The cafe is 2 floors with lots of seating, both upstairs and downstairs. Definitely a great spot to study, get some work done, or catch up with friends. I ordered the Matcha Earl Grey Latte and the Popcorn Chicken. My drink came out pretty fast, while the popcorn chicken took around 10 minutes. I loved the latte! The earl grey flavor was strong, so it was definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken was definitely different from the Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken I was expecting. The texture was more like mini chicken tenders or nuggets than the usual crispy, popcorn chicken. The chicken itself was juicy and had less breading. Not bad at all, just different from what I expected. Pricing is also not bad, especially for the portions. I parked in the back lot, but there's also free street parking. Overall, I really liked the space and would definitely come back to try more of their drinks! read more

Drinks was made slow. There's not even a customers line everyone was in study group. Also really unhappy and dissatisfied had to pay the equivalent price of a crafted drink like matcha latte coffee and well crafted matcha drinks around the valley, they just gave me passion fruit syrup, in iced fizzy soda can poured in a cup; not even a fresh mint leaf as decor then charged $7 for sugar syrup and soda fizz. Do not order their seasonal drink item Passionfruit mint lemonade, no lemon juice, no mint Nothing citrusy, not even passion fruit purée, really disappointed. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place where we could grab a bite to eat and settle down for a solid study session, and this combination café/restaurant nailed it. He ordered the K-style toast and I got the tteokbokki--both were absolutely delicious! Word of caution: I completely missed the warning on the menu stating that the tteokbokki is meant for two people. They were definitely not kidding, and I couldn't even finish it! The setup here is super student-friendly. They have free water available, plenty of tables, a bathroom, and even an upstairs area we didn't get to check out yet. We stayed for about two hours and got so much done. Just a heads-up that it does get a little busy, so if you need absolute silence to focus, it might not be for you. But for us, the background buzz was perfect. We will definitely be back for future study sessions! read more

Got to trying out their pumpkin spice chai (which has no coffee) and I like how the menu items also show if there's no caffeine or not. My first time checking out this spot finally with my girlfriend!! It was early in the evening, around 5pm so it would definitely be too late for coffee. The drink was pretty delicious!!! The pumpkin spice powder wasn't too overwhelming at all and the drink was addicting to keep sipping. I shared with my girlfriend as the price of one drink was about 8$ due to substituting milk. The pumpkin spice chai also matched the fall-themed menu very well. Super cool their fall drinks come with a small churro bite, but it was pretty cold when I bit it. I wish it was warmed. I like how the ambiance is inside and the music was at a perfect volume. The music choices were also great lol. We found a parking spot right infront of the cafe!! The free wifi was also pretty fast and I like how brightly lit it was inside. It was a bit annoying to deal with flies for some reason, and it's because they leave the front door open the whole time, I guess to invite people in. Thankfully they have a bug zapper and you can hear the zzing noise of a bug meeting their end. Perfect spot for getting work from home stuff done and for studying. read more

Sadness my matcha affogato is taken off the menu I'm not why most coffee places do not have matcha affogato Yellow house is my go to for affogato BECAUSE WHO DOES NOT WANT ICE CREAM IN THEIR MATCHA lol Hope it'll come back! I don't know any other spots that offers matcha affogato But anyways! I finally tried the crème brûlée matcha It tastes like milk tea boba minus the boba It's really good I'll keep coming even if the affogato is off menu lol Thank you Yellow House read more
Yellow House is on Reseda Blvd and you cannot miss it, it really is a big yellow house. I haven't tried the food yet, but I really enjoy coming here for the drinks! The coffee is always great, I've had the Salted Vanilla Latte and the Vanilla Latte so far, and both were delicious. The guys working here are always so nice and friendly, which makes the experience even better. The ambience is super nice, I love the interior and how spacious it is, the large mirrors and the beautiful chandelier, plus they even have an upstairs area which is really cool. I also appreciate that they offer a 20 percent off discount from 8am to 10am (and I think again later in the evening, though I'm not sure of the exact time). Parking can definitely be a challenge, so good luck there, but I'm usually in and out quickly and able to park in the back. Overall, great service, great coffee, and a really nice spot to relax! read more
Small countertop but there was no shortage of people working up front with 4 people. Staff are friendly and attentive. You order at the counter and pick up your drink and/or food when they call your name. The place has cool vibe to it. Most patrons appear to be nearby college students. They have both a downstairs and upstairs sitting area. The place is clean. There is limited street parking out front. There is side street parking. The private lot is two tight spots and appears to be used by staff/ownership. We ordered the Matcha Affogato and Mango Mirage drinks. They are okay. For food, we ordered pork katsu, California roll, and crunchy roll. The California roll was decent. The pork katsu portion was huge, but it was super dry and cold. The crunchy roll was funky, it had two types of crunchy texture: the one you expect light enjoyable crunch, then there was so super hard inedible teeth breaking one-week old stale crunch. Came into this establishment and immediately loved how cute it was. The entire aesthetic is adorable, and their Halloween decorations were done in such a fun, cutesy way. I ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte with reduced sweetness, a lychee chamomile tonic, an Americano, and a California roll. My total came to about $38 for three drinks and one roll with eight pieces of sushi. The quality of both the food and drinks was absolutely worth it. The coffee used for the pumpkin latte had nutty and clean notes that were perfectly balanced and not acidic at all. My Americano had that same smooth and well-rounded flavor. The refresher was tasty too. It just needed a good mix before drinking, then it was super yummy. While I don't eat seafood, my mom had the California roll and said it was incredibly fresh and delicious. They even included spicy mayo, which was a nice touch. Overall, both the drinks and the aesthetic of this place were amazing. I will definitely be coming back. read more

The first time I ever had yellow house, it was the best matcha I've had in the SFV! However, the other 5 times I went, the quality of the matcha had gone down significantly They must have hired new people or something because it tastes bad. I'm sad and disappointed in the inconsistency of the matcha taste each time I visit so I just stopped coming here... The sushi and food items are pretty good, the ambience is nice but usually too loud to study in. Overall ok read more

Favorite Cafe in Town! The workers are always so friendly and welcoming, and the service is impressively fast even when there are long lines. I love both coffee and matcha, and this spot is definitely at the top of my list. While there are other coffee shops nearby that some people might prefer, Yellow House really stands out for its quality and consistently great flavors. I highly recommend the iced matcha salt cream and the vanilla salt cream iced latte, both are so good. They used to have an evening happy hour, which I really miss because it was super convenient, so sad it had to go. The space itself is great too! There are two floors, so there's plenty of room to study, work, or just hang out. They always have good music playing, which adds to the vibe. The only downside is that parking can be tough since it's all street parking, depending on the time you go. I do wish they had pastries to go along with their delicious drinks. I still have yet to try the food, but it always looks really good, and I definitely want to check it out next time since I see a lot of people dining in whenever I visit. read more

I visited on a Wednesday morning and tried the iced matcha latte. They have a 20% off drink deal from 8-10 AM, so my matcha was $5.70! This drink is a perfection with earthy matcha flavor and it has a great balance of sweetness and salty flavors just the way I like. what a cute cafe! any biscoff drink , im there! friendly and welcoming service the space is bright, clean and lots of seating. you can def stay and chat or catch up on some work or just chill i ordered the biscoff matcha and the biscoff latte i enjoyed my biscoff matcha, although the matcha flavor was very light. my bff liked her biscoff latte but the coffee flavor was also lacking. but!! i loved all the biscoff cookie crumbles on top. parking: lack there of. it was dark and not alot of street lighting, it was hard to see. there is parking in the back but not for yellow house. idk unless we missed it. we ended up parking on the street. read more
This place is literally a Yellow House, you can't miss it! The inside of this place is very pleasing because of the high ceilings and the light/warm colors on the inside. There is plenty of seats and they even have an upper deck with more seats for you to have more privacy. Light music was playing and the service was good and speedy. I ordered the Horchata Latte (Hot) and my friend ordered the Match Creme Brûlée. I was very pleased with the Latte because it has a perfect balance of flavors and was not overly sweet. At first it has a thick creamy texture and the cinnamon horchata flavor cuts through at the end to make a smooth sip every time. I would 100% order this every time. No modifications, as designed. My friend liked her drink but she was not crazy about it. I would not order it myself because it was a bit too sweet for me (not a fan of sweet drinks personally). However, I could definitely see how this drink would be great to some people and the presentation is appealing. I did really like that the top of that drink resembled an actual Creme Brûlée. I really wanted to love this spot. The menu has some really cool and creative specialty coffee options, and I appreciate that they're not overly sweet. Unfortunately, the espresso itself wasn't quite what I was hoping for -- the shots didn't taste very smooth or creamy, and the coffee flavor didn't come through as much as expected. I ended up adding an extra shot just to get more of that espresso taste. read more
AMAZING!!! I love yellow house my friends and I always come here after class to gossip and talk about literally anything. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. The servers are nice and the drinks are delicious! A little on the pricey side so I wished they gave student discounts to people that go to CSUN but this isn't a dealbreaker. I was expecting such a small interior based on the small exterior. It was so spacious inside! A decent amount of seating! I got the tiramisu matcha and the coconut matcha drink. Wow the coconut matcha was something i had never tried before. So good!! The tiramisu was good flavor and very aesthetic! They had a food menu with a good amount of options. Service was super fast! The Yellow House is an interesting eatery that has opened up on Reseda, in Northridge. I was enticed by some unique aspects of the food portion of their menu (snacks, breakfast, small meals). They also have a limited selection of coffees, Lattes and other drinks. The outside of the establishment is painted yellow (dah) and parking is on the street. The inside is simple, yet inviting and friendly. As always, I travel to places to find something different. Here, the Sandos. Out of the 3, it was the Salmon Sando that was most attractive. The menu describes it as follows. Fresh Salmon, Cucumber, Onion, Cream Cheese, Tomato, Iceberg, Dijon Mustard, White American Cheese, Capers. What was delivered was slightly different. There was avocado (not on the menu), and too much of it, so much so that it overtook the salmon, which should have been the main star in taste and flavor. I did not see or taste any onions. There were no capers and that was great, because it would have provided acidity. Overall, it was still a well constructed and wonderfully presented sandwich. Just needs to highlight the salmon. So here is the suggestion. Cut out the avocado, same for the capers (this one must go), introduce red onions. Keep everything else the same. Fresh salmon is key. Maybe another layer, so it dominates the sandwich and its flavor profile. These minor modifications, will make it one of the best, if not the best fish or any Sando, in the San Fernando Valley. read more
Great ambiance and good place to relax and do some work! The music was a bit loud so make sure to bring some headphones if you want to lock in. I got the banana matcha latte and my boyfriend got the horchata latte. The matcha was a bit grainy and banana flavor wasn't super prominent. The horchata latte was delicious though so I think the coffee drinks are a lot better. Food was also delicious albeit a bit pricey. We got the katsu combo and the popcorn chicken and everything was very fresh and tasty! read more
My friend wanted to meet here after a recommendation from another friend. Located near Cal State Northridge, it was the perfect place to meet. I got the Mango Mirage, and let me tall you that after long day and hot one at that, it was nice to dink such a sweet and refreshing drink. The mango puree was just what I needed! The space is large with a loft at the top with enough room to study and meet with friends. There are plugs scattered around so you can charge up as well. Its a great cafe to meet with friends, family, or do some studying near the campus. So location is definitely a great choice. The only negative here for me is the parking situation. Other than the open lots nearby serving a small strip mall and some street parking, there isn't much else. Be wary about parking in the residentials as there are posted signs for time limits. Overall, a pretty chill cafe and I would encourage you parking in the plaza spots and walking over. If you do, please support the plaza by buying something there as well! read more

My friend put this coffee shop on my radar. I was able to stop by today to get an hour of work in while enjoying some great coffee- I had a shaken espresso. I also ended up ordering their French toast - everything was great! The ambiance is lovely- there is tons of seating and it looks like there's also a second floor. Their menu is great- lots of drink options and food. It took me a while to decide what to have because everything looked good. Excellent customer service! I was able to find parking because I arrived early but I imagine that might be a bit challenging during peak hours since there is no lot. There is street parking in front and on side streets. read more

I did see someone with a dog inside. I'm not sure if they were a service dog or not though.
Is there parking at the back?
No, there is no parking in the back. Only street parking. The two times I visited the establishment I parked over by Harbor Freight and walked over. Haven't gotten towed yet but definitely park there at your own risk 😅
Is there milk alternatives like oat milk and almond milk available?
Yes we do ! Currently we are offering Almond and Oat milks ! We plan to add more alternatives in the future accordingly to the community!
