This is a small restaurant in a hotel . The service was a little slow but it was busy .The space is very modern and beautiful. I had an old fashioned it was delicious but the espresso martini was very strong in a just coffee tastes .I shared the bison meatloaf with my friend and we were charged 5$ to share .I dont feel we should be charged to share but if there is a charge it should be noted somewhere to the customer .We had 7 women at the table and im sure we all bought drinks and dinner and enjoyed all of our meals but it did take over 40min or longer to get our meal on a Thursday . read more

4-8-25 Had a wonderful breakfast this morning at Milo. Joanna was our amazing server and what an amazing person with the personality that blessed our table. We enjoyed our time at the table and it was a terrific dining experience. The manager was also a wonderful person and provided quality service. My wife had the milo breakfast with eggs over medium and fruit and I had the biscuits and gravy. The coffee was good and the conversation enlightening Highly recommended 4-7-25 Had a nice dinner at Milo in OKC. The drinks were perfect. Brittany did a great job with our Don Julio Blanco with pelligrino and three limes muddled with mint. My wife also had one of her speciality drinks. The ambiance was great with live music. This is a quaint restaurant in the Ellison hotel. It's small but packs a punch. I recommend making a reservation before coming. The chef makes excellent dishes and the bartender deserves kudos on the drinks. Our party was well taken care of by our waitress who had such a great personality. The cornbread served was very light and baked perfectly. We were pleased with everything we ordered. My friend had the meatloaf and raved about it also. Lots to like but lacks the joy and love in food. It's a beautiful little restaurant, and our server and management were very attentive and friendly. The drinks were great, but the food missed the mark for me. The general theme is a lack of seasoning and finesse. The Caesar salad had butter lettuce instead of romaine but with zero black pepper, and a thin dressing that had no zest. It just came out one note, bland, and when you don't have the crunch of the romaine, it had no depth. Skip the Caesar. The pimento tater tots were the winner of the evening. The spiced sauce on the bottom and the sliced peppers on top really gave it plenty of flavor. The beef tenderloin, while cooked correctly, just landed heavily under-seasoned, and the mash and broccolini both needed salt and pepper. The spare rib was quite good, with perfect collard greens, but I really wanted more of the demi-glaze. We had a nice evening, and the food really has potential, but at those prices, the kitchen missed the mark on the details and finesse that the menu calls for. read more

Let's start with the best parts of this place - service was definitely a full 5 stars. Our server was very attentive and very friendly. That and the atmosphere in this place is absolutely gorgeous. Would be a great place just to spend a morning at with coffee just with how gorgeous this place looks! So place and service gets a full five stars. Now, the cons. It absolutely bugs me that their Caesar salad came with full leaves. Nothing was chopped, just straight up huge leaves of lettuce that were slightly coated in the dressing. Croutons that came with the salad were 100% stale, so that wasn't great either. Then the chicken...which came out very, very, dry. It's a good chunk of chicken, and a huge plate of a salad, but between the dry chicken, the huge leaves, stale croutons, and barely any dressing - it wasn't worth $20 in my opinion. Now the burger and fries - they didn't ask about the cook I wanted on the burger and assumed medium. Which, to be fair, I should have asked for how I wanted it done, but most places would ask you how you'd like the burger. But the server noticed I wasn't too happy with the cook and had it fixed, which was super kind of her so that was much appreciated. Fries were great, but needed more seasoning. Burger tasted pretty good, but needed more pickles. Also the HUGE tomato chunk that it came with was super mushy and made it very unappealing. I had to take it out and just leave it to the side. All in all for a brunch that cost us $40 without any coffee or drinks, I don't know if it was all that worth it, given the food was a little disappointing. Wish I loved it more though, the place was beautiful and the service was amazing. read more

I came here for dinner on a Sunday evening and seated myself at the bar. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offer guests hot tea and had a box full of herbal selections more than the ordinary earl grey or black tea. I only found one decaf kind and was offered honey & lemon. Fun fact: the honey is watered down to help mix with the tea but I was assured it was real honey. I went with the short rib, which comes with potato puree and sautéed greens. It was fantastic. I do wish there were more greens to be proportionately matched with a $30 serving of short rib and potato. Nonetheless, I made a yummy "mmm" with every delicious bite! I was offered the dessert menu about 3 times and asked if I was sure when I declined their options. The staff was pleasant but struggled with the few patrons dining. I found it strange they take glasses to the kitchen to serve or refill plain water? It would make more sense to have a carafe at the bar for this. Overall, I thought the food was good but don't think I will come back for the relaxed nature of service they offer. Perhaps things pick up for brunch or a full restaurant? I do recommend the ambiance of the hotel and restaurant. They decorate it beautifully for the holidays! read more

Went with 8 girlfriends for a birthday lunch. We split the fried green tomatoes at the table for an appetizer, which were delicious. Most of us ordered the catfish tacos as our entrees and enjoyed every bite! Others ordered and enjoyed the Asian chicken salad and asked that it be served on lettuce instead of bread, which they happily obliged. Our server was pleasant and helpful. Another day, another dinner @ Milo. Always fresh and prepared to perfection. I love the always familiar, friendly staff who is ultra accommodating. This evening to start Hubs decided on the Crab cakes appetizer, which includes fennel seed aioli & shaved fennel salad. The aroma was unbelievable when the plate arrived at our table. This isn't your typical crab cake (little bits of crab with lots of filler). Instead it quite the opposite. His Entree: The Milo Burger - 8oz local wagyu including lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and crispy fries made to order. He's chosen this burger a couple of times this week. Pretty surprising coming from self proclaimed burger snob: "Ultra tasty, perfectly tender and juicy with layered flavors and cooked to perfection". Myself: The Mixed green salad, locally mixed greens with a wonderful house vinaigrette. This evening I chose to add the flat iron steak- cooked medium. 93 minutes for entrées. Ninety-three. Not a tasting menu, not a holiday rush -- just a normal dinner service where time apparently goes to die. The manager tried to patch the disaster with a 30% discount, then acted like actually honoring it was some kind of negotiation. If you offer compensation, you should probably be prepared to follow through without attitude -- bare minimum professionalism. Service? Nonexistent. Support? Invisible. Splitting a bill? A logistical impossibility at Milo, apparently. For a restaurant that markets itself as refined, the operational skill level was closer to "first day of business school group project." By the end, we weren't eating dinner -- we were waiting, reminding, repeating, correcting, and apologizing to each other for ever choosing this place. There are plenty of restaurants in Nichols Hills that understand hospitality, time management, and customer respect. Milo is not in that category. read more

We stayed at the Ellison so we ate here multiple times. The Caesar salad with the popcorn was such a great surprise. Loved it. The bucatini was good, definitely add the shrimp. So yum. Breakfast was tasty. My husband loved the tacos. He even liked their vegan chorizo (he is definitely not a vegan). The frittata was full of delicious vegetables. We ordered Old Fashioned 3 times and each time they tasted different. So the drinks were lacking a little. Service was always super friendly. But they are definitely understaffed. Our daughter had come here for her birthday and said it was marvelous! So, we were excited to try it since we were in OKC for the weekend. Our waitress, Sabrina, was great but over worked being the only wait staff for the entire restaurant. We ordered cocktails & they were less than tasty and we sent it back. It took forever to order food at no fault of the one waitress. Once we received our food it was disappointing. I ordered the short rib and it was very dry. Some friends and I met here at the urging of another friend who had eaten here many times and wanted us to try. Well...as it was New Year's Day, we were the only ones dining for most of our time there. The waiter was efficient and friendly, the decor was spare though the place settings had a warmth to them. The pimento cheese dip we had been told to try was every bit as good as we'd hoped and the cocktail and drinks menu was clever and thorough. We all enjoyed something from the bar along with mercifully ice-free (thank you for that!) water. The issues began with the arrival of my food nearly ten minutes before my companions' food. We all thought the rest would be out momentarily but moments dragged into many multiple minutes. Being considerate I didn't take a bite of anything until I genuinely began to fear it would get too cold. Finally we were all served and at once I was stunned at the appearance of one friend's shrimp Caesar salad (a dinner salad, to be sure). The shrimp looked lovely but the greens were barely more than the size of a side salad. Worse, when he began to move the lettuce around, it became obvious the huge (and I do mean large, uncut leaves) were wilted and drowning in dressing. There were approximately four large leaves. Total. It was rather stunning considering the price. Still, he ate the shrimp and most of the croutons. When the waiter arrived to remove plates (he hadn't been back to check on us after my friends' plates were served) my friend did gently and calmly indicate the paucity of greens and their shocking quality. The waiter indicated remorse but that was it--there was no offer to prepare another portion of greens, no offer of a free dessert, no offer to reduce his bill...nothing. The waiter did ask if we'd like to see a dessert menu, and our other friend got something to go. My own food was mixed (the black-eyed pea falafels were like pucks though the soup and hummus-like dip were excellent) and our other friend's entree seemed to please. All in all, I can imagine it was an off night but the lack of anything offered to make my friend's dining experience better was a bit of a surprise, considering the service tier at which they seem to function. Went for lunch on my birthday. I checked out their menu online and was excited to try their food. We got here a little before noon and it wasn't busy. Other tables that got there the same time and got their food long before we did. It took an hour to get our appetizers and 5 minutes later asking if we wanted our entrees. Our server stated she didn't realize that they were making them at the same time. The steak was overcooked and of course the fries were cold. My husband ordered drip coffee and our server asked him 15 minutes later if he wanted a refill-had to explain still waiting on the first cup. Definitely won't be back read more

Crab cake to split and I had the biscuits and gravy and she got the Milo's breakfast with bacon. Our friend came and we moved to a bigger table. He got the sope and a crabcake. We let him taste ours and he was disappointed. He did enjoy the shrimp sope The crab cake gets points for not being full of filler but it had mustard grains and mayonnaise all on it. My biscuits and gravy was ok the gravy was thinner than I would have loved but the breakfast potatoes were inedible. Too salty. My friends eggs were cooked perfectly as well as her bacon but again, potatoes too seasoned. Our friend was given a choice of dessert since he didn't like the crab cake. He chose the brownie and said it ok. It was not a soft brownie and took some work to eat. I'm glad we tried somewhere new but I would not go back. We ordered bloody Mary's (why is there no brunch drink menu?!) and they were good but just olives as a garnish is basic. I garnish better do at home. read more

This place cannot get his act together. Just tried to come for breakfast, and they told me that they were understaffed and I needed to be patient. It's 9:30 AM and it was not very busy. But when you have servers telling gas when they check in but it's too busy and that we need to be patient, that's a terrible look for a restaurant. This hotel in this restaurant continue to act as if they're more special than they really are. I highly recommend going somewhere else and not giving them the satisfaction of providing you bad service. read more

Even though I repeatedly try to call this Milo at the Otis, I truly do love it. I have had cocktails, brunch, coffee and dinner here. Everything I've ever had was absolutely outstanding. I think this may be one of the most affordable breakfasts in town, in terms of overall ambience and value, it's worth every penny and made to fit neatly within your expense account. It was honestly more food than I normally eat for breakfast, so next time I'll share a few things between 3-4 people. I also love coming here for a cocktail. So many places are closed now until a certain time, it's nice to know you can grab a drink before 5 here. I do happy hour meetings at 4P so I can get home to my kids before dinner time. You can drink anytime at Milo at the Otis. lol, I did it again. All the cocktails are great, as are the wines. I especially loved the picpoul blanc on the wines by the glass list. Finally, dinner is absolutely outstanding. From the salads and apps to the fish, chicken and steaks, everything is outstanding. Probably my favorite dish was the rolled squash lasagne dish. It was absolutely outstanding, with such wonderful flavors and texture. I'll be back. Our brunch yesterday was delicious. I had the pork chile verde. The meat was tender and flavorful, while the creamy grits were just as good. A personal preference, but for this dish, I just felt like it needed some fried tortilla strips on top for some added crunch or a warm tortilla to dip into the eggs and the salsa verde. Lastly, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The soft color scheme gave the place a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I look forward to coming back. read more

I tried Milo for the first time last week and have been back *two more times* since. Their breakfast is divine. The Eggs Benedict was perfect, especially when I swapped out the English muffin for the biscuit. Josh Valentine and his team know their way around breakfast. The next time, I tried the fruit and granola plate, and it was wonderful. However I believe it's available at breakfast but not Sunday Brunch. Every detail in the restaurant is impeccable -- the design choices, the menu, the color scheme, placemats, everything. It has plenty of seating but doesn't feel cramped. I'm so happy to see this option on the north side. I highly recommend it for people whether they're staying in the hotel or not. read more

We started with cocktails, Orange Rose, Matcha Man & a bottle Field Reserve pinot Sisters salad- field greens salads large portion with black beans, corn, squash a with a light dressing also enjoyed the blue corn torte(gf) as an appetizer with biscuits and cornbread(gf) Main course special was scallops(gf) with turnips/potato medley the three of as agreed they were spectacular and the Beef tenderloin was perfection served with fingerling potatoes and kale. Loved staying at the Ellison. We had breakfast and coffee from Milo. It was yummy and ate it by the rooftop pool because we were guests!

Very disappointing. Made reservations to celebrate my husband's doctorate & my new job. Got a call 2 hours before, cancelling our reservation. They said they were sorry, but they were booked solid. We offered to go an hour early, they offered to move our reservation...TO ANOTHER NIGHT! Ugh. Put us in a pinch to find another reservation with another restaurant with such little notice. Not sure what happened, but not impressed & won't be going any time soon. read more
