The receptionist offered to give us a tour of the common areas before she took us to our room. First, she showed us a cute little outdoor area with a large frame for photo taking opportunities. Next, she took us to a separate barn space, which guests have access to 24-7. It is heated, has snacks, drinks, and games. The property only has six rooms, so I'd imagine that if you reserved a block of rooms for a wedding or something, the barn would be an awesome space for you to hang out with friends. We loved our room! It was surprisingly spacious and had a balcony with a nice sitting area. Had it not been raining, I absolutely would have spent some time out there enjoying the outdoor space. The room decor was modern, the room itself was very clean and must have been updated/renovated recently. There was a little kitchen area with a sink, a fridge, and the nicest Nespresso machine that I have ever encountered in a hotel. The fridge comes stocked with an extra bottle of water, two sodas, and a chilled bottle of white wine available for purchase. There are also plates, glasses, and silverware available for your use. The bathroom was so awesome that it deserves a paragraph of its own. It was enormous, with heated floors, a full size bathtub, and a large shower. The shower faucet is located near the shower entrance, not under the shower head like most showers, so you can adjust the temperature to your liking without getting doused with a stream of ice-cold water. The towels were enormous, looked brand new, and there were robes and slippers too. A couple of other nice room touches-wine bottles available for purchase, a remote control for the room blinds, and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise- they deliver Bouchon pastries to your room, along with some fresh fruit and orange juice. I really do appreciate the little things hotels do to try to make your stay feel more luxurious and special, and for us, this amenity was the icing on the cake of what was already a wonderful stay. I'd highly recommend staying at the Setting Inn, particularly if you prefer to stay somewhere with a little more character and charm than the larger hotel chains.

Upon arrival, we were shown the property by both Laura and were able to check in early once Carlos arrived - both were super hosts. The property itself was meticulously manicured and well take care of. There are cottages and separate rooms, available within the house itself - rooms are located upstairs. The rooms themselves are nicely decorated with enough storage for clothing, in-room kitchenette w/plates, glasses, cutlery, small fridge and various drink choices - wine is additional cost and well noted. The bathrooms contain both shower and deep soaking tubs. The grounds themselves are so cool, you can stay in the property all day and have a blast. Laura will leave fruit and pasties outside your door daily - everything was yummy ! There is a separate barn area, which acts as an outside living room, and is stock piled with seating, snacks, TV, board games, guitar, restrooms and exercise equipment ! There is also an additional gazebo seating area with a water feature and lastly you are surrounded by vineyards. What more can you ask for ? Will definitely be back for a longer stay !

Decided to hop on an app that shows me last minute hotel deals and saw Southbridge at the top of the list. Since we had a babysitter and the room rates were great, we decided to book our last minute stay. Just right across the street from Gotts and next door to Charter Oak, there was plenty of parking in the back. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly and to our surprise, we were given Room 8 which was a big room that had a balcony that faced the street. Highlights - beds and pillows were comfortable, water pressure in the shower was probably the best I've experienced in a while. A quick little walk over to the next building over and as hotel guests, you have full access to all of the amenities at Health Spa Napa Valley (heated lap pool, hot tub, full gym, steam room). This was super nice to just unwind and relax after a day of over indulging. You can also place a light breakfast order to be delivered to your room at your selected time; boiled eggs, croissant, fruit, coffee, etc. Something to be aware of; the hotel is situation right off of the main road Hwy28 so if you're a light sleeper, you will hear cars, trucks and motorcycles all times of the day and night. Definitely plan on coming back again during off peak days to enjoy the amenities.

They welcome you with a nice personalized sign in your room, complimentary water and apples. The sustainable features are impressive - Instead of plastic bottles and paper cups, they give you a glass carafe and glass cups. The towels are so soft and plentiful, extra pillows and a blanket supplied were nicer than my own linens at home, certainly not just the extras. They supply cozy and comfy robes, a duraflame log for the fireplace upon request, and a sweet turn down service with stamped cookies that shout "welcome home." We enjoyed the walkability to visit art galleries and boutiques in St. Helena. We attended brunch at Mustard and Dinner reservation at Charter Oak. *Yum*!! After a long day of wine tasting, the restaurant next door/attached has delicious wood fired pizzas which we could not pass up! The drinks at the bar were generous and was a nice switch up from wine (although they have wine too, of course!) while we watched the sports game that was on. We dropped off our Continental breakfast selections which are delivered straight to your room the next morning. We felt so pampered, eating breakfast in the comfort of our own room in our robes and slippers. The mini fridge allowed us to save extras we might want to snack on later. The Illy espresso machine made it so we could enjoy espresso throughout the day and even a decaf shot at night. The pastries served are on another level and pretty much awards them the best Continental breakfast we've ever had!! We were sad we didn't get to take advantage of the health spa privileges, but it felt very nice to know we could have enjoyed the spa and sauna should we have chosen to. They give you a complimentary tasting at Merryvale across the parking lot which is an exceptional value since to reserve online was $60/person. Their wines are fantastic and the people are just as great! Our trip to Napa Valley was superb thanks to the staff and grounds at Southbridge. We will certainly come again and highly recommend it to others traveling and looking for subtle luxury and amazing comfort.

Our room was not ready but once it was our luggage got brought in. Neatly arranged. Re-Bagged in some instances. We left to start our day. At about seven thirty pm we arrived back at our hotel. An employee escorted us to our hotel door. I've never experienced that before. He opened our door for us and made sure we got inside. Once inside we were stunned at the level of care our bags got. A electric remote controlled fire place started to warm the room. A big flat screen television was mounted in the wall. A phone with our wooden key cards waited on a table with a tiny map of the grounds. Elegant and eco friendly all in one. The room was ADA regulated until we noticed the huge high tub in the restroom. Definitely not for me and a friend who definitely had issues getting in and out safely. I loved the heated floors in the bathroom. The door that closed for privacy was definitely a struggle to use. The first night I attempted to order a cheese and meat charcuterie board for room service. Once it arrived we took it out side on our very low lit patio. The food was fantastic. A great way to end our night. Every day we got a forty dollar breakfast credit. We definitely loved that. Every morning we sat outside by the fire place eating gourmet food. To ease our tired bodies from a ton of walking the day before. We checked out the hot tub. What a wonderful way to begin day 2. Upon Returning that next evening we discovered our room had been completely re stocked. Beds made. Supplies restocked. I wanted 2 cups of hot water. I rang the front desk. 2 cups of hot water arrived 5 minutes later. Door Dash style. We enjoyed our hot tea before bed. The room did not have a Microwave or a machine to dispense just hot water. Our coffee machine was not the ordinary one. It only activated with a coffee pod inserted in it. I did miss having access to a microwave. This place is definitely one to stay at. exceptional help all the way around. Beautiful grounds with a pool and hot tub. Work out room and spa all located close by. In order to access the pool or spa remember to carry your room key. The staff were all exceptionally cordial and professional . We will definitely be back.

To SENZA ownership and management: You have issues…read more The website misrepresents this property in many ways. SENZA presents itself like a top hotel, but it is not match other properties in Napa. We booked a "vineyard-view" room. Instead, we got an active construction project directly outside our room. The vineyard featured in the marketing does not belong to SENZA. No heads-up. Because the property sits in a neighborhood, you get all the noises of home... generators, neighbors outside late and a driveway construction project early Saturday morning. We experienced a 10-hour power outage. We found online that it was pre-planned by PG&E for the block the hotel is on. The staff was caught completely unaware and had no plan. Guests were not notified in any way. Is that greed or incompetence? Most of the staff seemed apathetic or simply were not there. The café sign says, "Go to the front desk," but the front desk sign says, "I stepped away." They advertise pool service, but it is only available if the staff shows up. Getting a Diet Coke from the counter seemed like an inconvenience. We had to ask for housekeeping, and then I felt bad because it appeared one person was cleaning all the rooms. We were given a $40 food-and-beverage credit for each night. Later, we were told it did not include alcohol. Later again we were told it could not be used after 10:00 am. Shoutout to the Austin and Natalia who we saw working hard. Austin appeared to be doing everything from luggage to landscaping. Natalia found us some lamps and was in the utility closet trying to get the Wi-Fi working. Another positive was the pool. Without much staff or other guests around we had the pool to ourselves. SENZA is marketed and priced like an upscale Napa hotel. The actual experience does not come close.

As we are not staying in the main house we get a continental style breakfast in the morning and again Mimi goes out of the way to provide freshly baked breads and muffins and fruit that she's picked from her trees and tomatoes that she's picked from her gardens And homemade jams again from the fruits of her garden and does everything possible to make you enjoy yourselves. And this year we have also been fortunate enough for her to provide us with these incredible homemade organic exquisite unusual iced teas again from various ingredients on her property. They are delicious and unlike anything we've ever had. And once again not to be repetitive or redundant, but this is not something that she has to do for us this is something that she wants to do just to share because that's what kind of person she is. Beautiful place beautiful setting beautiful location. no it's not a five-star resort but for what you are getting in this incredible setting it's hard to imagine that every single person that stays here doesn't enjoy it like we do.

I hate to give this review but wanted to let potential guests know that the value didn't equal the price. Ed and Mimi were very nice hosts. The breakfasts were homemade and healthy. Most everything came from their garden. The beds were comfortable and my room was fairly large. The problem is the farmhouse is a little run down. I had ants in my room, the deck was covered in debris from the various trees. Very close to St. Helena off a busy highway. It was not hard to get in and out but it wasn't the quiet place advertised. Again, nice people, the Inn just a bit worn.

Check in was a breeze. Mumm was chilled, waiting on the table. As was the s'more basket. As was the dog bowl, already filled with water and treats. As was the beautiful Christmas tree and live table wreath. As were the L'Occitane bath products. And the lovely robes and slippers. And the super soft bath towels. And the outdoor blankets for the enormous yard we have all to ourselves. In addition to the games room. And the bikes to ride. And the Chardonnay in the fridge. And the bucket of snacks. Or the gigantic, two head showers in both bathrooms. Or the enormous jacuzzi tubs (yes, plural). Or the yoga mats. Not a detail is missing in this place. There is a huge table and extra chairs should you want to have guests (there is room galore for guests, and we are a party of four with a dog!). Umbrellas. Picnic backpacks. Excellent Wi-Fi. (Pro tip - we brought our Fire stick but Netflix is available without it.) The single imperfection is that the lacquer on the dining table was slightly tacky/sticky and made it hard to play Catan and Monopoly. Easy fix - in the laundry room cupboard, there are tablecloths so just slap that down and game on!!! Cannot wait to return in the warmer months with a ton of friends and family to take the place over for tastings, relaxation, touring, and barbecues in the huge yard! We LOVE IT HERE!

It has its own parking space. The fire pits are prepped every day and very easy to use. Wherever you sit in or outside of the cottage it js very private. The shower is amazing with fantastic water pressure. The bathroom floor was heated. Wonderful complementary soaps. The bed was very comfortable and there was also a comfortable sofa to sit on as well. The room comes with a Bluetooth music speaker preloaded with smooth and relaxing Jazz. There was also a kitchenette with a microwave, coffee pot, toaster, tea kettle, refrigerator. The property is beautiful and the staff is very detailed and nice. Check in and check out was a breeze. I could type more but you should just go see it for yourself.

All of the restaurants and tasting rooms are within walking distance from here and they even supply bikes if you want to ride the wine trail. So nice! He also offered to take pics of my husband and I around the property and gave us a quick synopsis of everything we could do that was within walking distance. In the mornings, Susan took very good care of us. Always smiling as she greeted us and laid out the lavish buffet breakfast. Juices, water, teas, and coffee included.
