I've been coming here for quite a while, and even tho I have problems with the check in people EVERY time, they used to have an employee MYA that was great at nails so I kept coming back. I guess MYA is no longer with them, so I came in just for a pedicure and once again the front desk was so rude. I've once even walked out because how rude the front desk was. Also, I've noticed a few times that they will suddenly add on an up charge that hasn't happened on any of my previous visits for the same exact services. Like today, while check in I said first off I wanted shellac white for my toes, and it was only after I decided to splurge and ask for one of their better pedicure packages that she said "shellac will be an extra $20" Ive been here every 2 weeks for over a year... and I get the same thing every single time. This was the first time they added that charge on. I'm very disappointed because MYA was amazing, the place is beautiful, but they are rude, Ive tried other nail techs in the past and they were all pretty bad to say the least. So unfortunately, even tho I'm currently the " Yelp duchess" for this establishment, I don't see myself coming back. Very very sad read more

Nice atmosphere and facility, but staffs are not friendly and skillful I asked to try 2 colors before application. The technician was acting very unhappy. Then her coworker stepped in and said trying color is unnecessary because all colors are the same as it is shown on the sample. The technician did my nails feet rough and cut my index finger. It was very painful and she asked me to go to the sink to wash off the blood. Although she apologized right away and I accepted it, 10 minutes later she accused me of moving which caused the accident which is unacceptable. If I moved and she cut my finger, we would have reckon that right away. I won't go back for manicure. Tranquility has better technicians, they are more friendly and skillful. I give this place 1000000/10 stars. I'm a super anxious person and hate going to new places but my boyfriend booked me an apt. Here so I ran with it and went, so thankful I did. Mimi Did my nails and I remember her name because she was so personable and so kind. My nails were done within an hour and far surpassed any nails I've ever had. I don't leave reviews often, but I won't get my nails done by anyone else again. She was gentle, insightful when I needed help with a color I had a picture of, quick and so sweet! I will be back!! * This place will make you feel worse than you did coming in* I've been here a few times now as it's right by my house. As a mother to a little one, I don't get much time to myself so it's really important to me that when I do get that chance, I really lap it up. I went in for a pedicure and asked for a signature as I wanted the extra massage time. The lady doing my pedicure was polite. I got the paraffin and the hot stone treatment but kept waiting for that massage. I thought maybe I forgot the procedure and they do it after painting the nails. Nope. The massage never was done. To detail the lack of attention, the technician didn't place my flip flops on for me and proceeded with another job (very small issue but shows lack of attention to detail). I informed the staff at the front desk and they relayed that the technician did do it. The owner said he believes his staff and there's a procedure. He said they've got cameras and can watch it over (almost like a threat). I said "sure! Let's watch because if I'm wrong I'll apologize but I'm certain it wasn't done because that's the part I look forward to the most". He dismissed me saying he didn't have time for this and believed his staff and charged me the basic pedicure. This place won't treat you with respect. They will definitely discount how you feel. The store decorations was nice, but not the technician and the front staff. I walked in, told her that I have an appointment, she guided me the whole process but without any welcoming greetings, no smile from beginning to the end. I was very polite to her, but still. So, I had a classic manicure with shellac. Today is just the third day after the care, the polish are coming off, there are also some ripples on the nails. The technician was very inpolite, and unprofessional, zero smile. In the middle of the session, she told me to walk to the sink and wash my hand, so I did. I sat down, she told me to dry my hand by myself, really? Seriously? I have to do all these by myself at a nail spa? Yes, they do have complimentary drink, and I did wrote down what I want. Huge salon, I counted over 25 pedi-spa chairs in excellent condition, plus manicure seating for 12. This would be a good place for a bigger group - just make sure to call for an appointment. Prices are a little higher than I expected, (their website has yet to be updated) but you are offered a seemingly upscale experience - this may be worth it for some customers. I always decline their beverage offer (there appears to be no hygiene protocol for employees getting drinks, would have liked to at least see a hand wash prior to handing clients an open container of wine or pop), and I don't really care that they give you a choice of lotion fragrance or that it comes out on a plate instead of being applied from a pump at the nail station. They have calming spa music playing which is a nice touch. I especially appreciated that they don't seem to try to squeeze in walk-ins resulting in rushed treatments. I read the reviews and wanted to give this place a chance despite the consistent critical reviews. The receptionist is notably unfriendly and ill-suited to her role at the front desk. That she remains unprofessionally rude suggests that her attitude isn't a priority for this business owner. Not a deal breaker for me but just be warned-she was cranky both times I went to this salon. I think she just doesn't know better. They advertise that your second visit can be discounted 50% but when I asked about it there's a catch. You must first write a review with a picture on Yelp. The way she phrased it, "depending on the review" you can have a discount on the service. That defeats the whole purpose of Yelp to me (I've been here since the beginning!) and also indicates that they understand they need to bribe folks to write good reviews. I'll keep up the search for a great nail salon east of Seattle and keep this place in my rear view. read more

I used to come here for my nails but the service and quality of work has gotten less manicured over the years. I guess it's their policy to not paint your entire nail? I came in for a mani pedi and the color I chose turned out way brighter than what appeared on the bottle. I was nervous because I have a baby shower and wedding to go to this week and wanted my nails and toes done according to the dresses I've picked out. The woman who did my pedicure was patient and kind enough to go find some other colors for me and even mixed some colors together to show me the differences. She combined two polishes and the color on my toes turned out perfect to what I was looking for! However, the woman who did my manicure was less than ideal. Firstly, she wasn't thorough when removing my nail polish I came in with (there was still bits around my cuticles) and also she got irritated with me when I asked her to please paint my full nail (there were large gaps everywhere that you could see my unpainted nail through). I am going to be looking at them constantly so seeing that would bother me till the end of time! God forbid I ask for what I want when I am paying... I had to ask her twice to make sure she actually covered those spots and she kept muttering under her breath. She then called the manager over and was huffing about; I explained to him what I wanted and she then went through and repainted with another coat. By the third/fourth coat of nail polish the color had become muddled and looks completely different than what I wanted... she didn't even cover my entire nail with clear coat... you can see where the clear coat ends on half my nails... basically looks like the polish I came in with and I could've done a better job for free at home. read more

Not going to lie, I didn't have a great first experience but they took the extra step to make things right after my first time in and getting the worst shellac I've ever gotten. I was appalled that the first one couldn't even last a few days, she cut my cuticle too far and filed too closely and cut my skin, the gal seemed to not know what she was doing. So they had me come back in and another gal worked on it (Mia) and she did an amazing job. I am updating my review because I truly think they can provide a really great service if you can get the right people. Na did my pedicure and she is one of my favorites already. Really good and detailed. Both her and Mia would be my recommendations. The place is clean, it's nice, they will serve you a beverage or two! However, as the day went on (and currently it is only 3 hours after getting the manicure...) two nails have cracked! The nail lady was nice and took her time, but for this price (39 dollars for shellac french tips) I would expect the polish to last longer than less than a day!!! The place is clean and has nice relaxing music, but the proof is in the pudding and this quality is definitely not doing it for me. I think in a way, it's pointless to write a review. This salon has so many bad reviews and it seems like they pride on that. Nothing every changes, you are not a customer to them, but a money machine. I've been treated very poorly, they almost force you to leave a tip. I never have issues tipping, but they like to harass you by reminding you over and over again about tipping. Last time I was there, the nail technician finished doing my nails and immediately told me "no tip for me"?. I wasn't even given the chance to grab my bag and my other personal belongings to go pay and tip at the front desk.The same day my polish came off after I showered. I went back to the next day to get it fixed, which is such an inconvenience. Poor customer service, very pushy staff and overprice low quality services. She seems t be very angry & unhappy & that might contribute to her behavior. I've came here twice to be sure the first time was not a fluke and yeah, this place is just bad. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews! Firstly, they dont even work with clean tools, more on that below. The first time I came I paid for the Deluxe services and they forgot to do any of the advertised services. No massage, paraffin, or moisturizer. I didn't even realize until I got home since they were in such a rush to get you out the chair. The nails were okay they just weren't able to shape them right and left them thick. The first time I paid $150 for a mani pedi. I came once again and omg the disappointment is tragic. So basically the steep price you see advertised on their own brochure is ONLY for them to glue the tip of the nail. If you want them to cut it from that crazy long tip default length it's a charge. If you want them to shape it to a normal coffin shape it's a charge. And if you decide you want normal length and not super short nails they'll charge extra just for working on your nails, which I thought I was already paying for in the original service charge? That's 3 additional charges on top of the $50+ for whatever basic nail service you choose. I didnt even get through listening to all the random charges since there were about 5 in a basic set with no design or anything special. This second time it was $90 for a simple pink and white ombre looking thing which was so bad and messy. They left glue all over my nails and smudges. When i asked about why they looked that way she said that's just the way ombre is. Uhm, no its not? Especially not for a $90 service. I'm not opposed to paying $100 for nails since that's what I've always paid in California but the salons would straight up tell you this is an $80+ service not its $55 but we're going to tack on random "services" that are not even listed on our menu. I did ask where it was noted that cutting, shaping, certain lengths, etc. were additional but they said they don't list that thats just what it costs. Uhm okay. On top of this they don't even sterilize their equipment. For either mani or pedis. They are so quick to get ppl in and out of chairs they just start working with the same tools as the person before you. If you're like me and feel the need to check it out for yourself just be warned and notice the type of tools they start working on you with. read more

Upon leaving the salon, this place gets 5 stars! I had the best foot massage of my life, and for the most part it was quite relaxing except for the nail work. However, 2 weeks after leaving the salon, I need to deduct 3 starts for lack of sanitation. It's quite standard, that the nail technician pokes around your cuticles and under your nail beds. However, my nail technician clearly dug too deep because I developed a painful disgusting fungus under my nail bed. I have never in my life experienced such horrid and I have had more pedicures than I can count. I had to see a podiatrist and my primary doctor and am now taking anti-fungal pills to get rid of this. I now am afraid to get another pedicure. Tip: Don't let the nail technician dig around your nail beds. It's not necessary and it's quite uncomfortable. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE - Went in to get Acrylics & a pedicure for my birthday. My pedicure was nice & smooth. They placed me at a table for 40 mins to wait for someone to do my acrylics. I gave 4 simple and basic nail designs and they kept on saying the lady kept on saying they don't do those designs. Halfway through the process, I saw 2 ladies across from me getting the designs I wanted. The lady that did my nails put a thin layer of powder and was rushing the whole time. An hour after I left the salon, one of my nails broke (because it was so thin). I called them telling I was going to come back 20 mins before they closed to fix that one nail because my birthday was the next day and I have no time to come in the next day to fix it. I caught an uber there and I walked up to the ladies and all 7 OF THEM KEPT WALKING STRAIGHT TO THEIR CARS, one lady was pretending to be concerned and walked to the parking lot & hopped in their cars and left. They pulled out all looking at me standing in front of their shop. I caught another uber back to the hotel & 5 nails broke off before dinner. Two times I visited within a 8 day period. This is my honest review of both experiences/time frame. For the most relaxing experience go mid week in the morning. Never ever go on a Friday or Sat if you want to relax and have a peaceful experience. My pedi was blissfully relaxing and quite and peaceful and is still holding up beautifully. My mani, (only 2 days ago) was rushed, loud and not equally as good in quality. I've been in a car traveling yet the mani is already chipping but the pedi is looking great! Just fyi. Very Disappointed! I've been a loyal customer here for a while. In the past there have been times when I have had to wait to be seen, even when I've had an appointment. I've always waited patiently with no complaints. On Thursday I made an appointment. Shortly before I was due to arrive, I got a call letting me know they overbooked. I told them it was fine, I'd just schedule an appointment at a later time. I scheduled for today at noon. I was running a little late and got a call a few minutes after 12 asking if I was coming in. I told them yes, and that I was almost there. They said ok. I arrived a few minutes later (12:09), apologized again, and filled out my paperwork. I was asked if I wanted a pedicure too. I said no thank you, I was coming back for that next week. My nail tech (Tee) then came and took someone else in the back for a pedicure (she didn't even acknowledge me) . Visibly confused, I asked them what was going on?!?!? They said she waitied 10 minutes for you ‍. REALLY?!?!? I've waited longer than that for for service even when I had an appointment! Today I realized how valued (or not) my business was. I've been nothing but kind to everyone. I had to go find a new place to get my nails done. I won't be back. I went in as a party of three (with sister and mom) for a needed COVID-pick me up. My sister and I got the standard package (pedicures), and my mother had premium. The salon itself is clean and large. The chairs were comfortable and there seemed to be good social distancing measures in place. My sister and I had a good experience and the pedicure was very long lasting. The customization is great (you can choose your oils, lotions, etc) but the service itself was okay (nothing special, no call outs - good or bad). Given the convenient location and reasonable prices, I would return again for a similar service. My mother's technician wasn't as great. Despite paying more for her services, she wasn't thorough - left soap on her foot at the end, got polish on feet and didn't clean it up, massage wasn't well performed (barely did anything but add a ton of oil everywhere), etc. Just not the level of a well-established salon... Even more disappointing as this was significantly more expensive than the standard. It's always tough with places like these, because the experience varies so much depending on who your technician is. My recommendation is to play it safe, get the cheapest package, and find someone you like to work with before splurging on a service that turns out half baked. read more
